Our farm is located in the center of the Yakima Valley in Southeastern Washington State. The Valley is known as the fruit bowl of the nation. The site is located on a farm that has been in production on the Roza slope 4 miles north of Sunnyside since 1945. Surrounded by fields of peppermint, Concord grapes, and a variety of crops within walking distance it is a fertile paradise. The Yakima Valley has thousands of acres of wine grapes, hops, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, and vegetables. Wineries are located up and down the Valley and people drive 100s of miles to do wine tours. Several microbreweries are also accessible and within 50 miles to the west you’ll be in premier hiking in the Cascade Mountains.Site is located just east of Scoon Rd 4 miles north of Sunnyside. Campers can park an RV or camp within a secure area with a fence on the west north and east. There is a farm Rd you can walk for a half mile from the site. The site is fairly flat and bicycling can be an activity to consider on nearby county roads or a bike path is located 5 miles south. If you have a mountain bike you could also ride the farm road. Local attractions include wineries in every town. Prosser 15 miles Southeast has probably 20 or more wineries to visit. Guests can access maps of wineries include the worlds premiere vinticultural area in Red Mountain in Benton City. Sunnyside has 2 breweries Varietal and Snipes Mountain Brewery.

Beautiful private set up on a farm
Rick and his wife Dion (sp?) are very nice people and they have set up a private park-like area for their Hipcamp.

Ricks Exercise Farm
Rick’s site was clean and well kept, almost a park like setting on an 80 acre farm. We were delighted by the unobstructed view of a nearly full moon. Rick was a gracious and welcoming host. Highly recommend this spot.

Rick was a wonderful and responsive host. The site was one of the best designed sites I had been to. If you would like to see what it’s like to be on a working farm in Central Washington, this is the spot’

We enjoyed our long weekend getaway and stay at Rick's site in Sunnyside. It was great meeting Rick and Deon and learning about the history of the farm and surrounding area. A perfect place to unwind and take in the scenery!

Ricks Exercise Farm
RV camping on Rick’s land was the perfect way to decompress from a busy day of traveling! He really takes care of his site. There are electric/water hookups, a picnic table, trash can, and beautiful scenery of the countryside. It was the whole package! We have a very timid dog who is scared of unfamiliar places especially if they’re loud, but she had no issues here! It was really quiet (except for when cars would pass by on the road which is to be expected). I would highly recommend!

FHU site with great vies
We really enjoyed meeting and talking with Rick and his wife. They are great people. We loved the camping site. It was a secured full hook up site with a concrete patio and a picnic table. The site was gravel with a grass area and several trees. On the same property was a Concord grape vineyard and two peppermint fields. From the property you can see Mount Adams. We really enjoyed our stay.
