Our farm is located in the center of the Yakima Valley in Southeastern Washington State. The physical address is 3510 Scoon Road Sunnyside, Washington. The Valley is known as the fruit bowl of the nation. The site is located on a farm that has been in production on the Roza slope 4 miles north of Sunnyside since 1945. Surrounded by fields of peppermint, Concord grapes, and a variety of crops within walking distance it is a fertile paradise. The Yakima Valley has thousands of acres of wine grapes, hops, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, and vegetables. Wineries are located up and down the Valley and people drive 100s of miles to do wine tours. Several microbreweries are also accessible and within 50 miles to the west you’ll be in premier hiking in the Cascades.

We have a small area in our Alpaca pasture designated for campers. We are a short drive (2miles) to down town Hermiston. Our ranch has been here since the 1940's and has decreased in size since its days as a potato farm. The Alpacas are shy but curious. They are not dangerous but do not like dogs 🐕🦺 and other small animals. (Please keep pets on a leash) We remove the Alpacas and mow the camping areas but please keep in mind that this is a pasture that is used when campers are not present. Please be prepared. This is a working ranch and there will be animals🦙 , bugs🐜 , and poop💩 in the pasture.
River Front Park on the Umatilla River is within walking distance and the Columbia River is a short drive. In the summer we have several farms in the area with fresh produce for sale and Blueberry picking just down the road. This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane.
The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping.
Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have!
We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings.
Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. This campsite is a pull thru road that has a sun and wind block overlooking local farm fields. Please note that SELF-CONTAINED vehicles are required for this site, as this is a dry camp with no water access or restrooms. Camp is two miles from freeway exit yet a mile from any home other than the working homestead that was started in 1890 with huge barn built in 1906 next door. (Please do not bother the renters who live there.) This is a great place to rest for the night or a week. - simple, safe, and private out of the way. From I-84 you will take exit 198 for Lorenzen/McClintock Rd. Turn onto Lorenzen, which is a gravel road. Drive one mile until you get to an intersection next to a grain bin. Turn left onto Peebler (west) and drive for almost one mile. As you near the two openings for the site, you will see the sun shelter directly on your left. You want to turn at the 2nd opening, by the sign that says IN (with green Peebler Lane sign above it.) You can pull up right next to the shelter and set up your space however you like. That way, when you leave you will pass by the EXIT sign and be headed back towards the interstate like you came.
This site is 12 miles west from the world-famous Pendleton Round-Up. 8 miles east of Echo Ridge Winery, Sno Road Winery, Echo historical museum, and Echo Golf Course. Simple dining can be found in Echo at H and P cafe and in nearby Stanfield at Broken Barrel Restaurant/Bar with great burgers.

We live in a beautiful location! The main attraction is the outdoors. The large Ponderosa pines and oak trees surrounding the safari tent fill the air with a scent that some say smells like vanilla. Birds chirp, deer graze, and squirrels gather food throughout the day. Sit on the porch and watch it all happen—it truly is relaxing!
I want to mention that the stargazing here is amazing! Simply press the power button on the back of the solar panel to turn off the lights for a better view of the night sky. Please turn them back on when you're finished, if you remember.
Be sure to visit Goldendale Observatory. It boasts one of the largest public telescopes in the nation, and admission is free.

This weekend was exceptional! My husband and I are from Seattle, my husband's best friend David is from Idaho and I did my best job at triangulating and came up with Echo, Oregon.
What a pleasure this place is! As soon as you pull in you see goats behind a fence jumping around, when you drive around to the campsites they are so wide and so spacious we were able to fit a trailer perpendicular in the campsite and two large cars, two different pop-ups, a tent it was just sprawling.
Gina made extra effort to show our friend where to enter the river, he and his puppy had a great time swimming and enjoying the coolness from the hot day.
I would read this hip site camp 10 out of 10! Super friendly hosts and such a special treat to actually stay on a working farm!

Love. The shade trees around #25 . Loved the turkey who came to say hello. The sheep in the fenced pasture greeted us first. A great spot on our way to Boise, Id. Train in the distance was not a bother during sleeping time but seeing it pass thru was just fun .Will definitely stay if in the area again.

This place was absolutely beautiful. A family of deer shared their space with me and I was lucky enough to enjoy a nap in the hammock while two young deer napped under the deck. The bathtub was amazing. The sound of the wind and the stars in the sky soothed my soul. I would absolutely recommend.

Host was amazing! You can tell he really cares about hosting! There were kayaks and Canoes for guests to use and fire wood by the truck load! We stayed for the 4th of July and the view of the fireworks was awesome! Tina is an amazing ambassador and taught my German shepherd puppy how to play with other dogs. There’s also a great bathroom and outdoor shower for guests with hot water, along with coffee & hot cocoa! Great experience and definitely would visit again!

Stayed over 4th of July weekend with 3 of my 4 grandkids at site 13 and we had a great time! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly.
There weren’t many campers, but Kent and Iza invited us over with the ranch residents to watch the fireworks and we had a lovely time.
Kent was great and so helpful with all of the kids, giving them sparklers and helping them with the smaller fireworks before the “big show”.
We were able to feed the livestock and even encountered a wandering piglet over at our campsite one afternoon and the following morning. The kids were beside themselves with joyful laughter during his visits. Lots of wonderful memories made this weekend, we will absolutely be back again.

Kent and Iza are a lovely couple. They are hard workers that are trying to make their land work for them and diversifying their land in to several projects- and that is really admirable. I would say that while they have some parts of the farm in great shape with beautiful features, such as the pond, the barn and the view to the mountain, there are other parts that truly are a working farm and all the things that come with that. We had booked the Shady Tent site 6 and I had put that we have a pop up camper but when we arrived, it was clear that the pop up camper would not be able to park near the shady tree - it truly is a tent only site and we ended up in the field nearby. In retrospect, I wish I had read the listing a little better and consider it my own fault. The field has little shade, so hot in the sun, but would be great if you have lots of sun awnings and/or ways to keep cool. Where we were on the field, which is truly an open field that was once an airstrip, there was not a firepit nearby, so we were not able to do a fire at night. The bathroom is a little walk from the field, but not that big of a deal. The bathroom was clean with 3 toilets and one shower stall. There is an additional outside toilet that has a mirror. There are other campers on the property, including some people who have this as their permanent residence. All of them were really nice, kind, and accommodating, but it was not quite as remote as I had expected. Despite this, it was quiet.
