Such a magical little spot with the best hosts! Nothing like a crackling fire right next to a picturesque river. The sauna absolutely made the trip with a warm spot to relax in the cold of winter. You can see the river from inside too. All the amenities you need for some excellent glamping! We went up to Scenic Hot Springs and then stayed here. The perfect little getaway with my spouse.

Weekend Trip to Ascent Basecamp

We camped at Ascent Basecamp in mid October and enjoyed our stay that we booked again this last weekend in mid November despite the pouring rain each time because of the beautiful riverside setting and shared covered kitchen with the essential wood stove made it that cozy! The drive to experience the fall leaves and a visit to Leavenworth were calling! I actually loved the trains across the highway and the river sounds which drown out any traffic noise from the highway. The camp caretakers were all helpful and the sauna experience was great the second time after the wood was sorted.

I really enjoyed my few days. The property is beautiful and my dog loved every minute of it. I loved being able to explore the property and meet all the animals. Debi was quick to respond and made my entire trip easier. I’m leaving Washington, but am very sad that I didn’t find this spot earlier. I will definitely be back during the warmer months and can’t wait for my next adventure at this beautiful property.

Weekend Trip to Ascent Basecamp

Instructions for arrival were great. We got to campsite after sunset, in the middle of rain, after hiking Colchuck Lake. Finding site was easy, and description is accurate. Was a little concerned about possibility of traffic noise, but Mark was spot on, you won’t hear a thing! Waking up the next morning to the sound of the river was awesome. Facilities were clean, and sauna looked very inviting. We will definitely be back, this site is surrounded by places we want to explore.

Fern Gully is a perfect spot for group camping, off in the back of the property offered much privacy! Beautiful grounds and very serene! Many trails and the lake had many Bass, but too small this year to keep. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Ascent Basecamp

My friend and I had a wonderful time at Ascent Basecamp and look forward to returning in the future. The site was easily accessible and we stayed just a few feet from the river. Although we were near the highway, the sound of the river drowned out the noise and made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves (which we did the second night). The communal kitchen was perfect and provided a dry space to chill on a drizzly morning, while enjoying a lofty view of the river. The sauna add on was PERFECT. We were delighted to meet the campground hosts who were incredibly kind, accommodating, and respectful. We also enjoyed great food and hospitality at Maggy's Mexican restaurant in Goldbar and Squirrel Tree at Cole's Corner.

Mark was so quick to respond to my spontaneous, day of, camping request. I had never camped on someone's private property before so I didn't expect much but was very pleased at the beautiful lay of the land. It's a breathtaking place! All tent sites are right on the river and private. We stayed at site 1, which is the closest site to its neighbor #2. However, the owner put up a fence that blocks any view between, that was just perfect! The firepits are a great touch as well. The restrooms (portapotty) were well maintained and stocked. My only recommendation for future campers that book tent site 1 (the best spot in my opinion), be sure to bring a mat or air mattress as there's some uneven and rocky spots on the tent pad. This site is also the furthest from parking so if you have a lot of stuff, I'd recommend site #4. I didn't use the sauna bc it's not my thing, but I'm sure it will get it's use and is s lively addition to the grounds. The hot tub wasn't going (last weekend in August), and it was too hot to use anyway but I can't wait to come back in the fall/winter and sit in there, it's right on the river too!

Mimi's property was a hidden gem. We loved fishing in the lake, catch and release, large mouth bass. We reserved all 4 RV sites for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. We had a fun day swimming at nearby Stillaguamish River, and a great dinner at nearby Nuttys Roadhouse Grill (no bar there, though) The Landing is best if you are able to rent all 4 sites together with family or friends. Though very ample sized, there's not too much privacy between the sites if you don't know your neighbors. Mimi was so sweet and gave us privacy and space. This gorgeous property is a Dreamland in progress. They've done so much to landscape and improve the already perfect natural space. Having a reunion or wedding there would be perfect!
