A pretty campsite in a great location. All utilities worked as expected; electrical, sewer, water. Quiet and private enough for us. (For reference that means we did not use our shades on our extensive trailer windows nor was sound ever an issue.) Particulary when compared to a standard campground or even worse, a standard RV park. We would love to return.

Having stayed a week, a full hookup site was really nice. There are homes around but you'd never know it. Being an introvert and a nature nerd, I hated to leave. The property is absolutely stunning. I did my very best to leave it as I found it. Please do the same! I'll never forget my experience here.

Just a sweet little clearing in the woods with the camping essentials: pretty views of trees and a short walk to a nearby river, fresh water, an electrical hook-up, a clean portable toilet, and peace and quiet. It is close to the Olympic Discovery Trail, Rialto Beach, Forks, and other places for daytime activities. We had a very nice stay. Blake was helpful and answered our questions promptly.

We had a great time at Blake’s property. Directions were simple, it was a plus to have full hookups. Plenty of space. Privacy was good but there are neighbors nearby so just an fyi. One rental house is within eyesight but it wasn’t a problem for us. Some kind neighbors came by to say hi and give us some wood for the solo stove. River access was easy and nice to have. The porta potty was very clean. If I could recommend anything, it would be to find a way to allow dogs to roam freely without worry. That would be amazing and a cherry on top.

This group campsite was amazing! Our group of adults, kids and dogs absolutely loved it! We had a couple of trailers and some in tents. It was perfect for all of us. The spot is near the road but it felt secluded still. The kids had plenty of space to run around and the dogs were able to run and play in the wooded area. Close to copalis beach and seabrook. We would book again if we plan to come back to the area!

Very nice lone site in a forest clearing just steps from a beautiful creek. Great privacy and sense of deep nature. But with electric hookup, which is what we needed as our Sprinter stopped charging while driving. Lance the host is super responsive though not on-site.

This spot is easy to get to, about a 5 min drive from Copalis Beach. It’s close to the road but there is a gate and fencing around the property. I would still keep an eye on your pooches. The woods behind the property are a nice bonus for exploring. Our dogs found mud pits in the woods of course so make sure you bring an outdoor shower/water of some sort to wash your dogs! Haha. electric hookup is nice (there are two 30 amp hookups across the gravel from one another so you can easily have two campers spaced out. There is a slope but our leveling blocks worked well. The porta potty was clutch to have. Nice big gazebo with picnic tables and fire pit. Wood on hand which was great. The gravel made maneuvering the RV very easy but bring an outdoor mat because it is really tough on dog paws. This was a great spot to star gaze at night and have our first stay with the RV. Lots of memories made.

We had a very relaxing time at this site. It was a short walk down to the river which was nice, surrounded by beautiful moss-covered trees, had hookups for our camper, string lights. Just peaceful and beautiful! Close to Olympic - we loved Rialto Beach and Quinault Rainforest. The little grocery store just up the street was super convenient as well.

We booked this site last minute as we had a chance age of plans. We got here late and left early for our next location. I appreciate the hosts responsiveness so we could book so last minute. It’s a private site. We didn’t see the river but the full hookups were so nice and made things easy. It was certainly our most expensive stay in our two weeks camping around Olympic national parks. If it had not been last minute we would have booked something less expensive and closer to the national parks sites, but we appreciate it for what it was and for what we needed.

The place is immaculate and everywhere you turn is an unexpected surprise in the special details she has thought of. Campfire Tale: The Legend of John Tornow "The Wildman of the Wynooche." More than a century ago, the forests around Travers Mountain were home to one of Washington’s most mysterious figures — John Tornow, the Wildman of the Wynooche. Born in 1880, Tornow grew up as a gifted woodsman and hunter. He was known for his uncanny ability to move silently through the timber, living off the land with the skill of someone more animal than man. But his story turned dark after the tragic deaths of his nephews, the Bauer twins, whose family homestead you can still see from our property. Accused of their killings, Tornow fled deep into the wilderness. For nearly two years, he evaded every search party and posse that hunted him. Locals whispered that he was impossible to track — some even swore he could vanish into the trees like a ghost. He became both feared and respected, remembered as part outlaw, part legend. The tale ends in 1913, when a massive manhunt cornered Tornow in the woods. Even then, he fought fiercely, leaving his mark on Grays Harbor history forever. So when you camp here whether its under the trees-at Tornow’s Timberline, perched high at Outlaw’s Overlook, or gathered by the fire at Wildman’s Saloon Stop — listen closely to the night sounds. The owls, the wind, and the rustling branches might just remind you of the Wildman, still wandering in spirit through these hills.

From your mossy bank perched above the panoramic Pacific, beneath burley spruce tree boughs, magic sunsets unfold at your own super-private and secluded campsite with fire-pit. We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place. All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets. Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. WELCOME TO THE HOH RAINFOREST Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Hoh Rainforest, the Hard Rain Cafe & Campground stands out as a unique destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Since 1984, we have provided visitors with a cozy spot to enjoy delicious coffee and hearty burgers, along with a peaceful campground experience amidst the lush greenery of Olympic National Park. Our campground operates seasonally, welcoming guests from March 15 to November 15. To ensure a smooth stay, we recommend making reservations online, as a first-night non-refundable deposit is required. Our Spring Season hours are typically from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, while Summer Season hours extend from mid-May to 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Please note that our hours will be limited in October and November, and we will close for the season starting December 1. For those planning to visit during peak season, from May 15 to September 15, we advise arriving at the Hoh Rainforest entrance before 9 AM to avoid long wait times at the toll booth. With extended daylight in the summer evenings, you can also enjoy entry to Olympic National Park after 6 PM without any delays. Serving the extremely diverse group of visitors to the Olympic National Park's Hoh Rainforest is our family tradition. Our staff are local residents that love to share travel tips and explain the various ways to get back to Seattle (if you really have to leave paradise).
