Now owned by the Pinson Family, this land was originally purchased by the Schmitt Family nearly a century ago in the small town of Joyce, Washington, back when fishing was the only draw to this beautiful landscape. There is access to a private boat ramp, seaside privacy, and it is surrounded by beautiful trees. Hand built rustic cabins line the coastline. Each has it's own unique name. Folks have been escaping to Whiskey Creek Beach for generations as a way to unplug from the hustle and bustle of todays busy lifestyle. With names like "Halibut Hole," "Codfish Cottage," and "Captain's Quarters," the charm is undeniable. The waves crashing over a pebble beach lull you to sleep, and the salt in the air wakes you in the morning. A private boat launch is very difficult to find anywhere on the sound. The boat launch at Whiskey Creek Beach is the only one between Fresh Water Bay and Sekiu. Whiskey Creek Beach is a place you really must experience it in person. In a busy world, full of demands and obligations, it is rare to find a place so close that feels so far away. This truly is PNW living at it's finest.

We are fortunate to live here, and we want to share the beauty with you. Please stay here and take a moment free of worry and free of hurry. About the hosts: Camas and her father, Randy, co-host this property. One or both will be onsite at all times should any issue arise. Please message if you need a last-minute booking and it appears to be blocked. We can't do an "instant book," but there's always a possibility that we can accommodate you. About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. Union was even listed in the top 10 "Prettiest Towns in America" in Forbes Magazine in 2009! Learn more about this land: One of a kind view of the Skokomish Estuary and Olympic Mountains. Small touches and personalized correspondence set this apart from other accommodations anywhere. The welcome letter even acknowledged that the fresh flowers left for me might be difficult to carry by bike. Immaculate and appointed with everything a traveler might need. Like that perfect restaurant you hesitate to tell others about, lest it become hard to get a table.

We stayed in the coho cabin and found it nice change after a couple days of camping. It had a couple of single beds, electricity, and heater. Just bring sleeping bag or other linens and goos to go. Very convenient to Olympic NP and local beaches.

amazing place! felt very peaceful and magical. the amenities are awesome and the location is beautiful. it wasn’t too clear who the camp host was until they introduced themselves the last day of our trip. which was fine we didn’t really need anything. i think they could use some signage in certain areas too as it wasn’t too clear what some of the buildings were. for example the barn i didn’t realize was a staff area until i looked in the window. whoops. also the wood that’s available is kinda pricey in my opinion and wasn’t bundled up so it wasn’t clear how much wood made up and bundle and a lot of the wood was big and chunky and hard to fit in the fire pit. but these are minor comments and didn’t affect our experience at all. there’s plenty of places nearby to get wood for example

This cabin is in a great spot, right next to the river. It's cozy, warm and comfortable and allows you to be right near Forks, without feeling like you're surrounded. Other guests were quiet and the river drowned out almost any other sounds. A great choice for anyone needing a place to enjoy!

It’s clear the hosts have done a lot to uplevel this place! The room was definitely renovated with a more modern feel & the size was great. It had everything we needed for a 1-night stay. Things to note given the old (but updated!) building: It took a long time for the shower water to get warm, and the walls between the units are really quite thin, especially in the bathroom. The rest of the property left a little bit to be desired with a small, outdated kids play area & communal spaces, but we could tell this is a work in progress & the access to the beach was great.

Cute campground with clean restrooms and showers, and a little shop with supplies you might've forgotten or lost on your adventure. John was very nice and helpful. The cabin is quite minimal but perfect as a place to end the day and rest, and was very clean. We'll revisit again when we're in the area.

Olympic Adventure Campground was a great place to stay in/near Forks! I booked a campsite, but upgraded to a comfy cabin at check-in. The campground and bathrooms were clean and well-kept. The location was perfect. I'd definitely recommend a stay here. Everything we needed was either at the campsite or available at the store. Excellent experience.

Absolutely loved tent camping here! Such a cute campsite with everything you could need. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the tent was cozy with solar string lights and a lamp. The common area was a great bonus, with places to eat, fire pits, and firewood available. Our site also came with a small grill, chairs, and a picnic table, which made everything so convenient. It was the perfect little upgrade from traditional camping while still letting us enjoy the outdoors. In a secluded area. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely amazing! Mossquatch exceeded our expectations by 100. I think this was our favorite part of our 11 day PNW trip. My family of 4 unanimously agreed that we got the best sleep here, too. It is a gem of a place and you can feel the passion for the property through talking to the owner and the property manager. Great people.

Weekend Trip to Olympic Adventure Campground

Had a lot of fun staying in the Coho cabin at Olympic Adventure Campground! The cabin was neat, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom and shower facilities were topnotch, and John is a super friendly guy. Also very responsive; we had an issue with our power (caused by a neighboring camper) and John had it fixed in just minutes. Also, went for a walk in the morning and came across a herd of elk! Highly recommend.
