We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Dungeness island tent camp sites are open now, with a new foot bridge for accessing the campsites. It is a 300 ft walk from parking place to the campsites.
Dungeness Island is just that - a small island in the middle of the beautiful Dungeness River. Surrounded by forest and beautiful mountain and river views with many trails to explore, swimming holes and shallow water for pets and kids play.. It really is a destination as well as a great camping experience. Even though trails go through the Salmon Pool and Pic/Nap sites, other campers do not access those trails when Site 2 and; 3 are occupied. The trails are not accessible to the public as they are on private property. Alternative routes to the Salmon Pool and main river bank are available to guests not occupying trail campsites.
1: the Dungeness Wanderer site is to the north with easy access to the main river, woodland trails abound, with one that is a 1/4 mile walk to the Dungeness Railroad Bridge Park, as well as to some of the best swimming and fishing holes on the river.
Site 2 is The Dungeness nap and picnic site is on the trail that leads to a peaceful riverbank spot to picnic - or nap and enjoy the peaceful, relaxing sound of the river. The riverside trail downstream to the Nature Center/Railroad Bridge Park is access able to all campers.
The salmon pool trail is the 3rd site and is located on the trail that leads out to the east bank of the main river where one will be mesmerized by the the King Salmon and Pink Salmon now resting in the pools that will soon be full of the wild Coho run, followed by the hatchery Coho run. Stay awhile and wander the Dungeness to your hearts content.

At 180 acres Glendale Farm in Chimacum, in operation since 1857, is one of the largest single agricultural properties remaining in Jefferson County. The farm includes prime agricultural soils, over half a mile of East Chimacum Creek, and forested areas. The easement protects a buffer zone for salmon and wildlife habitat along the east fork of Chimacum Creek and protects the agricultural and forestry values of the property forever. Jefferson Land Trust and collaborative partners purchased the easement to Insure Glendale farm maintains agricultural practices and wildlife habitat forever! Please be aware this is a working farm with poultry, livestock, and the use of farm equipment providing a great experience for farm life.
Glendale Farm experienced a devastating loss in 2022 when the primary residence burned down. Since then, we have been engaged in a long-term restoration effort, including extensive cleanup from an extreme hoarding situation.
Please wear sturdy shoes at all times, as we are still carefully removing glass and other sharp debris from parts of the property. You may encounter old farm equipment, a few derelict RVs, and other remnants of the site's history as we continue this work.
We appreciate your patience as we gradually improve the farm with future showers, a communal kitchen, gathering spaces, and enhanced landscaping. Your stay directly supports these ongoing improvements.

We loved our stay at Brent & Sherri's place! The glamping site was well-equipped & very cute. We were able to go for a hike & walk to the beach near Ruskin Dam for a swim. It was lovely & exactly what we were looking for. We especially loved seeing Lulu, she's very sweet!

it’s a paradise for anyone looking to get away from crowded campgrounds and the hustle of it all. lusa is incredibly friendly, communicative, and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay.
it’s an easy drive to and from olympic national park, with everything you need nearby. the lodge had everything i could’ve imagined needing, and my dog absolutely loved it here. the sauna is such a bonus, especially after long hikes. worth every penny. i’d definitely stay here again.

The smell of cedar as we entered the cabin was amazing.
We were a family of four and a dog, with one of the teens outside in a tent, and it fit us very well. The forest was delightful and everything was clean and well-considered.
The host’s welcoming smile, helpful support, and practical advice made our stay perfect.

Weekend Trip to Wild Hearts on Whidbey
Very fun getaway spot within easy driving distance of Langley and other Whidbey attractions. The Glasshouse was cute and the bed was cozy. It was fun listening to the chickens and horses through the windows. The kitchen had most of the basics we needed (plates, cutlery, cast iron pan) but bring your own coffee mugs if you plan on hot beverages.

Weekend Trip to Compass Rose Farms
My partner and I slept in the Round House for one night. It was truly a 10/10 experience, there were so many accommodations and activities we could experience at the farm. Kateen is an amazing host and gave us a tour of the property before we settled in. The place is so beautifully tucked away and makes you believe your in a fairy tale. Highly recommend, thank you Compass Rose Farm!

Short but sweet stay with my pup as I hiked in the north cascades. Reg provided a warm greeting and us a wonderful steward to his land. Big juicy blackberries galore! I would definitely go back.

2 nights at Duck Creek Farm
The Tipi was great! Sue and her son (the farmers) are also gracious and accomodating hosts. Would recommend this to anyone. One of our favorite things about staying at Duck Creek Farms was that while we ate at different restaurants on the island we were eating vegetables grown directly from the farm!

1 night at North Wind House: Historic Cascadia
This place is magical, and Reg’s love for it is palpable. Upon arrival, I was encouraged to take a dip in the creek and introduce myself to the trees. To my pleasure, I did both and recommend you do, too. Whether or not exploring the many features of the land is your thing, the place was cozy and private, only steps from the bathroom. The kitchen has more than expected to help you prepare a meal, a stove, a microwave, dishes, pots and pans, seasonings, etc. It was very nice to be offline and reset the brain waves. 100% will return.

The coolest cabins on the coolest land owned by the coolest guy. 10/10 anyone reading this must stay here. Reg has it all- super lovely comfortable cabins with incredible views. A WONDERFUL volcanic creek on the property within minutes. A cute kitchen a cute bathroom SHEEP. Two nights wasn’t enough and I shall be back

I stayed in a vintage camp trailer, which offered great privacy and a roof over my head while still being somewhat rustic. I absolutely loved the mix of flowers and edible plants.
