At 180 acres Glendale Farm in Chimacum, in operation since 1857, is one of the largest single agricultural properties remaining in Jefferson County. The farm includes prime agricultural soils, over half a mile of East Chimacum Creek, and forested areas. The easement protects a buffer zone for salmon and wildlife habitat along the east fork of Chimacum Creek and protects the agricultural and forestry values of the property forever. Jefferson Land Trust and collaborative partners purchased the easement to Insure Glendale farm maintains agricultural practices and wildlife habitat forever! Please be aware this is a working farm with poultry, livestock, and the use of farm equipment providing a great experience for farm life.
Glendale Farm experienced a devastating loss in 2022 when the primary residence burned down. Since then, we have been engaged in a long-term restoration effort, including extensive cleanup from an extreme hoarding situation.
Please wear sturdy shoes at all times, as we are still carefully removing glass and other sharp debris from parts of the property. You may encounter old farm equipment, a few derelict RVs, and other remnants of the site's history as we continue this work.
We appreciate your patience as we gradually improve the farm with future showers, a communal kitchen, gathering spaces, and enhanced landscaping. Your stay directly supports these ongoing improvements.

Soon we will be getting our winter high tides, sometimes the high water almost kisses the deck. Can be exciting. Come stay in our cabin at the estuary on Turners Bay, where wildlife is abundant and easy to see. The Bamboo cabin is very private and has everything you need to just hang out. Saltgrass's location allows for many fun outdoor activities such as hiking at Anacortes Washington Park or Kukutali Preserve State Park crabbing, fishing, birding, bicycling and, the beach, my kids actually found a bottle with a message inside years ago.
Alternatively, you could explore the many little shops in the towns of La Conner and Anacortes. There are multiple activities available, I would suggest calling ahead in order to book kayaking, rock climbing, whale watching, or a sailing charter. You could easily take a day trip to the San Juan Islands by taking a ferry ride out of Anacortes, walk on or book ahead if you are taking your car. Also, the Swinomish Casino and golf course are within two miles.
While you're here you may meet our pup Turner, we also have two cats and several chickens. On the property are your hosts Jeri and Nancy, as well as our handyman Sean, Saltgrass boasts beautiful flowers, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and yes, the Bay. We try to live harmoniously with the land. We would love to share our space with you! . We thank you all for visiting our place and hope we meet your expectations.
October 10, 2025, A new addition to the bamboo cabin; we built gates that allow you to secure the deck as an outside space for your dog.
Our property has hosted many events, such as weddings, family reunions, company picnics, a music festival, and life celebrations. If you are interested, please let us know. We are always evolving our land to share with others.

What a lovely place to unwind, unplug, and reconnect. Soaking in the hot tub listening to the river and reading a good book is just what the doctor ordered. I'm bookmarking this place for a future visit!

Dog was very happy with the space! Even met the resident sheep. Host is very thorough with his walk through. Sadly the aesthetically pleasing record wall had to be removed due to there being so great of a collection (so good guests were stealing them) but overall we enjoyed our spot that faced away from the rest of the property and made us feel suited while overlooking the sunset.

Delightful spot with the coziest ambiance. We love disc golf and it was a treat to watch a movie from the big king size bed. All the details feel very inviting and thought out.

Such a a wonderful stay- the cabin is absolutely gorgeous, the land is beautiful- we brought our dog & he loved being able to explore off leash. We took the trail down to the creek & it was beautiful. The wood stove, the giant windows & Mountain View were out of this world. DeAnn, her son & her grand-dog Freckie are the kindest, warmest hosts. Just a lovely experience & we hope to return!

Weekend Trip to Under the Cedars - Glamping experience w/Hot Tub
The site was absolutely lovely! Isolated but still accessible if need be for emergencies.
My favorite parts were the ambience of the tent with the twinkle lights which was so relaxing and beautiful to relax in the king size bed. Omg the bed was awesome, making me think I need a new one for myself. 😀
The hot tub num! Lots of room for 4 people to share the tub and the overall site. I went by myself for some disconnect time and it definitely allowed me to disconnect and relax. I brought a small speaker but they provided one in the tent and I found silence was more my friend. Cooking was easy, but if you need a pot you might bring one. Otherwise all the basic needs were there. Great care was taken to create this glamping experience. Thank you!!

We had such a great stay! The campsite was super cute, clean, and had everything we needed. It was in a great location, close to Port Angeles and so many beautiful hikes. We also felt really safe staying here as two girls, which made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend staying here! 🤍

We really enjoyed our time at Golden Ears Glamping cabin suite, Greg was a great host who answered quickly any of our questions or needs, and he even spent the time teaching us how to fish and lent us his fishing rod.
We love the property and the amenities available, the river behind the place is awesome, we swam, fished and even got to have a campfire!
We got an up close and personal view of nature! We saw a black bear, and also a beaver swimming in a creek which was so cool!
If you are someone who loves to be in nature, to have peace and relaxation this place would be good for you!
We would like to come back, maybe we will try the tent next time!

I was one of those guests that keep changing my arrival time as things go sideways while traveling with a toddler from 1000s of miles away. Nancy kept in touch with us as we made the pilgramage to her fairytail of a location! The description and photos on her posting are what was there and my sister lives near by so we will be back! I loved the yurt! it was nice and cozy. Its a peaceful getaway from the city. Being able to see the stars at night was amazing. The host was also very sweet and friendly, very accommodating to make sure our stay went smoothly. Loved the 2 sweet doggies that were very friendly and kept us company.

Weekend Trip to Saltgrass Garden
Another beautiful and peaceful stay at the cabin! Besides a gorgeous view and comfortable cozy vibes, it's in a great location. Close to Deception Pass so we could enjoy the beaches, but also convenient for a visit to Anacrotes as well.
It's my third stay and I look forward to coming back!

Weekend Trip to Ever Green
Camped here for a quick weekend away and found a nicely-appointed RV set up on a big lot with plenty of space. Samuel, the host, was very prompt with all communication ahead of the trip and very friendly during our stay. There's no plumbing hookup for the RV, but there's a washroom in the outbuilding a short walk away that's probably nicer anyway. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay outside of the city or as a launching point for the abundance of outdoor activities nearby.

Beautiful place, everything wonderfully maintained, clean, convenient, and quiet.
Great place to bring the horses and dog for a weekend of riding and walking the awesome trails and playing games.
The cabin was super comfortable, cozy and adorable, I didn’t want to ever leave. The host, Margaret, was extremely accommodating and gracious ❤️. Excited to come back in the future!

I've been here with my dogs through a non-camping app several times, but this was the first time getting to stay overnight, and it was every bit as perfect as it is when we only get to be there 2 hours at a time during the day. The bunkhouse and privy were immaculate and the futon was super comfortable for sleeping. As always, the trails are loads of fun and a choose your own adventure (and exertion) kind of way. There was only one other camper this night, and they were gone most of the time so we had everything almost to ourselves. In perfect symbolism, a gorgeous rainbow appeared over the top of the barn while I was loading the car to leave.
