Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress.
There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets.

Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. Watch Thursday and Friday nite as cruise ships light up the straights inbound to seattle. Excellent low tide beach as it drops to almost a 16th of a mile from shore.. The property is approximately 40 acres. It is a mixture of forest, bogs, a couple of creeks, and open grass areas.
We are a tree farm at the moment. However, we are diligently working towards farming flowers, vegetables, and herbs that may be purchased.
We have trails throughout the farm with one that leads to state land. You can definitely get your hike on and work up an appetite.
Our sites are unique as each one is a different layout from the other. They are hand-cut into the forest so you will be tucked away from others, but you will have an opportunity to meet others if you so choose, when we fire up the large community campfire.
We are four-legged family member friendly with the stipulation that your animal family member not be too terribly talkative and loud. Also, it is imperative that your animal family member be restrained when hiking on all parts of the farm. While at your site, you may allow them to be unrestrained as long as they stay on your site only.
We are a NON-SMOKING facility.
We do not allow firecrackers ever. We have a tree farm we steward and firecrackers are a fire risk. So please no firecrackers on the property.

Located 10 miles west of Port Angeles on the scenic Highway 112. This is a small farm homestead with geese, chickens, and Flynn the farm dog. Several areas have fire pits and mobile fire pits can be delivered to your camp site.
This is a “meet and greet” campsite where I place you according to your camping needs (remote/close to facilities, Rv/tent, size of party, etc). I have to be on site at your arrival, so please keep me informed of your expected arrival time.
Note: I love hosting campers with dogs. However, I have had two sheep put down due to attacks by guest dogs. My very friendly dog has been attacked by guest dogs. I no longer have sheep, because I won’t endanger them. You need to verify that your dog is not aggressive.

Family property for almost 70 years. Town was known as Carlisle in the late 1800's to early 1940's. Located on the Carlisle Gardens Road. Private 30 acres with 100+ blueberry bushes. Great property for a nature walk. Seasonal plants. Harrier Falcon, Eagles, Turkey Vultures, Barn Owls, White Owls, Grouse just to name a few of the birds around. An occassional rabbit or 2.

Grassy tent site next to Ida M's Blueberry Row. Mainly a quiet piece of property surrounded by nature. Hummingbirds and butterflies. Fire pit, picnic table, solar lights, clean drinking water, and trash bin. Short walk to Port a Potty. 9 miles from Pacific Beach and Seabrook.
We do live on the property, located on the other side of the blueberry rows, across the driveway with our 3 labrador retrievers and chickens. There is also a swing set, jungle gym, and a horse shoe pit. You will be seeing my husband and I come and go while staying here, also other family and friends that visit. So if you are looking for a completely private place, staying here would not meet your expectations.

This was our second trip to Camp Birdwatch, first time in the winter - Don let us know due to the flooding there would be less area to walk around. It was still very beautiful and filled with wildlife for us to watch! A very peaceful and enjoyable stay as expected - thanks again Don!

Very peaceful and nice location to Crescent Beach and a variety of recreation . Janelle was very helpful and made sure I was settled in ok. Both the options for camping are great and there is space and nature surrounding. Flynn the resident dog visited respectfully and we took a walk at dusk. It was nice to know he was around being so shepherdly sweet and friendly. I’ll be back.

This is a beautiful, quiet, and comfortable campsite! We were especially impressed by the shared kitchen - as it was quite cold while we were there! The kitchen is lovely, with a wood cookstove. We loved staying with Paul and Carol, who are very interesting and friendly.

The campground was in a beautiful corner of the earth and owned by a kind, friendly couple. The campsite felt private and had it all; a bench, water, a fire pit and a tent platform. We enjoyed cooking in the communal kitchen with a wood stove. I highly recommend!

We had a great time at this campground. The site we originally booked (#7) ended up not working out because the picnic table had recently broke and wasn’t yet replaced, so Aimee was able to move us to another site. Aimee was very helpful and responsive. We didn’t have cell service at the site, so it was a bit challenging getting in touch from there and ended up walking down to the beach for service. Also, some of the photos shown with the site 7 listing are not of the actual site. The site does not have a view, it is set back in the woods and only has room for a single 2-person tent, per the description. We ended up at site 4, which was great. We had plenty of space and a shortcut to the beach. Would come back again but would try for site 5 next time for the incredible view and privacy.

The camp owners were lovely people. The river was beautiful. Just across the river the forest rose majestically from the bank. It was wonderful watchng birds catching silver minnows in the river. We had the camp site all to ourselves which was wonderful. If all the sites were full, I imagine it would not feel very private.

The Olympic Peninsula
