More than a century ago, the forests around Travers Mountain were home to one of Washington’s most mysterious figures — John Tornow, the Wildman of the Wynooche. Born in 1880, Tornow grew up as a gifted woodsman and hunter. He was known for his uncanny ability to move silently through the timber, living off the land with the skill of someone more animal than man. But his story turned dark after the tragic deaths of his nephews, the Bauer twins, whose family homestead you can still see from our property. Accused of their killings, Tornow fled deep into the wilderness. For nearly two years, he evaded every search party and posse that hunted him. Locals whispered that he was impossible to track — some even swore he could vanish into the trees like a ghost. He became both feared and respected, remembered as part outlaw, part legend. They purchased truck loads of scrap glass to resell as fish glass, which is still seen today in the parking lot. They grew bamboo and sold imperfect veggies that farmers were going to throw away. Eventually they landed on Christmas trees. To expand their ventures, they leased this land for many years then eventually sold the Delveccio land and purchsed this farm in 1998. Today, Larry and Dolly's daughter and son-in law, Jana and Pablo Sifuentes have grown the family business to provide wonderful memories to the community during the holiday season. This camp site is very private and peaceful! We will be open from May 1st through September, 2026. We have a 3 night maximum stay per booking. The site can accommodate up to two RVs or 3-4 tents depending on the distance apart. We allow up to 6 people per booking. The firepit and the Snoqualmie River are about 150' away from your tent or RV. We have a porta-potti at the camp site and also two picnic tables. Pets are welcome at our HipCamp, but we do require that you clean up after them. Near North Bend there are several hiking/biking trails including the trail up Mt. Si., Si View Park, and the Rattlesnake Ridge trail system. For shoppers, we have shops in town and the Factory Outlet Mall. For dining, there are several restaurants in North Bend. PLEASE NOTE: CHECK IN TIME: 2:00-5:00 P.M. Our rate is $85 per night. We ask all drivers (cars, RVs, trailers, etc.) to back into the campsite. This will make for an easy exit. Thanks!! (This is a leave no trace site. You must take all of your garbage with you!) Just 1.5 hours from Seattle, Portland, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, & Olympic National Park, just 3 minutes from Rainbow Falls State Park and 4 minutes from Willapa Biking Trail! We are located on top of Bunker Hill nestled between the Dunn creek and Chehalis river. Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails. We are located right off Chandler Road, off of Highway 6. You turn onto Labri road (white sign) and you're on the property after going through a gate. Meander down the road past a red barn and several buildings on your right. Through the second gate, the dispersed camping site offers various sites for camping attached to a main trail that parallels the Dunn creek down to the Chehalis river. They are conveniently accessible off the logging roads which cross with Labri road after you've passed through the second gate. If you take the logging road to the left (look for a blue and white ribbon) you will come up to a tree line where you can park (another blue and white ribbon) and either take the trail to the left or right where you will find ample places to camp. You may camp along the trail or closer to the creek. The most ideal spot is right after you park near the blue and white ribbon if you walk North you'll see a site marked with an orange and white ribbon. This site has easy access to the creek but is still on a hill. There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV sites with no hook up (boondocking) but bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park. The site is located on a hill so you get very nice view of sunsets and sunrises. For those who enjoy bird watching the nearby fruit trees bring in many birds. We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events. 6 mi from Jones Creek Brewing, 7 mi from Evey's Cafe & Pe Ell, 20 mi from I-5, 69 mi Westport Quiet hours are from 11pm - 8am.

What a lovely view and open space to enjoy! It was a treat to see Lisa with her horse and pony riding in the light of the setting sun. A bit of magic. The directions were clear to get there. Loved being close to the beach and lighthouse to stroll to. The Bird King was close by as well. A lovely stay.

This was a lovely place to camp with an incredible view! Level parking for our 25 foot trailer. There is some slight highway 101 noise, but nothing that would keep us from returning. It was a misty weekend, so we hunkered in most of the time. The clouds amongst the trees made for a beautiful view. We enjoyed going into the very small town to the Tipsy Whale for nice cider and beers. Mostly, we toured around and enjoyed the sea lions, seals, and many birds.

It’s very private since we were the only campers that time we stayed there. I definitely would like to stay there in summertime . The caretakers did way beyond what. We expected . We stayed for 2 nights to explore the surrounding area in Carnation, Fall City, and Snoqualmie and this site was perfect. Only 1 RV spot so you don't have any other campers around. Adorable goats, sheep, and pig next to the RV site so we were able to watch them while eating breakfast. Amazing sunrises and beautiful view of the mountains and morning fog. Quiet and serene. Host was incredibly gracious and offered us a farm tour. It was a bit of a tight squeeze to get on the driveway from off the road, but other than that, it was great.

The level, paved rv site was great! We enjoyed walking the trails to the peaceful creek and around the property. The wifi is not strong but it is a great place to relax and unwind. David was kind and fun to talk with and shared some of his delicious apples with us. We plan on returning in the spring to see a much higher creek and for some more peace and quiet and amazing views of stars without any light pollution.

Beautiful place to stay while we explored Rainbow Falls state park. We had site 1 which is flat, paved and has full hookups. The grounds are surrounded by trees and two lush trails, just gorgeous, very well maintained. Peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again if in the area!
