In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Our quiet hours are 8pm-8am so we can rest up for the next day’s adventures. Propane stoves are welcome during fire bans. We do not have a check in cut-off time. Reservations do need to be made before midnight. We have zero tolerance for hateful, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward people, belongings, and wildlife. Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R& as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep camp as a single site, largeer groups are given preference. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone. In camp you will find a rustic kitchen, two 6' picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a resource area near the house with an electrical outlet and a Flexzilla water hose, so bring containers. We have really nice firewood bundles as well as fresh eggs for sale and lawn games, hammocks, etc., available for rent. While the campsite, play field, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild, so bring your tromping shoes. Birdsong comes early here, and the night is filled with the sounds of crickets. No city lights, so the stargazing is wonderful. The goats are gentle, curious, and deep body scratch lovers. The chickens and ducks are not hands-on but some, especially the ducks, will eat out of your hands. The local fauna include deer, skunk, coyote, rabbit, weasel, and possum--bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out and keep the lid on the compost. While there isn't water on the property, Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe lakes are all 20-30 minutes from here and provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, summer concerts, and a playground, and is just a five-minute drive from camp. We are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect meet-in-the-middle location. Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all day trips, just an hour or two from here. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. Weekend Trip to Elfendahl Forest

This is the best hipcamp I've ever been to. It was so quiet, the camper was extremely cozy and well stocked, and the spot was very private. The off grid hot tub was unique and well worth the extra fee! The whole campground is a very fun and creative space and you can really tell how much love and care Gary and crew have put into this place. I'll be back for summer camping!

2 nights at Elfendahl Forest

Gary was so attentive and welcoming! Even though I came during a rainy time, the land was beautiful and whimsical. The staff there were all so accommodating and helped with anything I needed (firewood, the hot tub, heaters). The community kitchen was sooo much fun to use and the shower was amazing! It was fun to walk around and see the bunnies and chickens as well as see how hard the staff work to create more fun amenities for the future. Gary mills the wood himself and you can see how all of the structures are such a labor of love!

Weekend Trip to Pipe Lake Cabin

The cabin was larger than I expected! You enter into a large room with the main bed (bedding included), pullout couch, armchair and fireplace. Then there is the kitchen area with a good size dining table. Bathroom is right off the kitchen. No shower but that didn't bother us. Basic amenities for the kitchen is all provided and there are plenty of extra blankets. Just a PSA, your door code will be sent 30 minutes before the check in, we found ourselves worrying as the time got closer and closer!

Weekend Trip to Roney River Ranch (R3)

We had a lovely Fall stay this weekend in our little camper. We loved the sounds of the coyote calls through the night. They were quite talkative but it was fun to hear the wildlife around us! My dog really enjoyed having the freedom and space to run and play. The quaint town of Duvall is super close so we enjoyed a beautiful brunch before packing up for home.

It's a very quiet getaway, but close enough to the city. The professional and friendly staff make it feel at home. The community house is stocked full of pots and pans and other baking utensils to virtually make anything you may be craving to make. I would definitely stay here again if needing a weekend getaway to destress myself.

Perfect for the first stormy weekend of Fall. Lots of reading, listening to the rain & hail! We did get a little sun & got a bit of fishing in. Wonderful & close views of an eagle, sitting right in a tree off the deck. Pro tip: Shut the door between main room and kitchen. It makes the heater much more efficient. Can't wait to get back in Spring. Charming and peaceful.

Jayson and The Moose spot checked all the boxes. Safe, quiet, power, water and dump. Great communication and a wonderful first Hipcamp experience. Clean porta potty was a nice surprise. Thank you Jayson for a great stay so close to beautiful Mt Rainier!

Gary and friends thought of everything. Fun for the whole family. From the glowing rock paintings, the chickens and fresh eggs, bunnies, beautiful garden, the color and whimsy - It was absolutely perfect. The girls were able to run around the magical forest, dressed like fairies, homemade crowns and all. TJ was a volunteer at the time and he truly made the entire stay such a fun experience. He was helpful, kind, fun and truly just an amazing person. We can’t wait to visit again.

Beautiful, well thought out, and clean space that had everything one needs to create beautiful memories with friends and families. The whole property is gorgeous with stunning views. The fire pit was so lovely especially on a rainy day, and so nice to have items provided for smores as well. Loads of cards and board games. Would stay here again and recommend 10/10!
