You will also find many hiking trails and parks nearby! There is weak cell service on the lot, so you may or may not be able to connect. I get 1-2 bars with Sprint. While this property is not very far off the Dosewallips road (35 mph), it is generally very quiet and peaceful. You may hear cars and motorcycles from time to time, but very faintly. The lot is at about 350 ft. elevation, so you may get noise traveling up the valley from the residential community below (to which I belong), such as dogs, people using chainsaws, etc. There is hunting allowed in the national forest, so you could potentially hear guns in the distance during the day, but that is rare. There are a few close neighbors, so please be respectful and quiet, especially in the evening. Please bring your own firewood when campfires are allowed and please do not forage for firewood on or around the property. Lastly, while the sightings have been few and rare, the neighbors have seen bears, cougars, coyotes, and bobcats near their homes and this property. So keep an eye on your children and pets, especially if off-leash (your pet of course!) The property also slopes a bit where the deck starts, so again, keep a close eye on the kiddos. You have a very good chance of seeing the local Roosevelt Elk that travel in huge herds around Brinnon (See pics). They sometimes lay down and hang out on the grass on the property! Make sure your pets have their flea and tick updates!

We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey. The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups! Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi. About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

Once done my grandma sold tickets to the tourist and my grandpa ran the engine around the 7 acre oval track pulling a train car full of happy tourist through the woods over the train bridge and past the big water tower back to their vehicles so they could finish their journies with a drive to Mt. We are just minutes from Auburn city limits. Road noise, planes, Pacific Raceways, and freight trains are audible here even if muffled by the trees. In order to provide safety and peace, hosts live just outside the campground and closely manage happenings. All our sites have 2-4 persons occupancy in hopes of deterring parties. Larry and Dolly McMurtrey purchased the Delveccio farm in 1975 next door to this farm. The farm offered an exciting new venture after retirement. The McMurtrey's had many fun and unique ideas. They purchased truck loads of scrap glass to resell as fish glass, which is still seen today in the parking lot. They grew bamboo and sold imperfect veggies that farmers were going to throw away. Eventually they landed on Christmas trees. To expand their ventures, they leased this land for many years then eventually sold the Delveccio land and purchsed this farm in 1998. Today, Larry and Dolly's daughter and son-in law, Jana and Pablo Sifuentes have grown the family business to provide wonderful memories to the community during the holiday season. This year the farm will start a small u-cut flower field then add the pumpkin patch in September and November. Our family has lived and worked this farm since 1912. Originally the fields were used to grow peas (1940's), dairy (1950-1960's), black angus (1970-1980's), hogs & dairy replacement heifers (1990's), fresh culinary herbs for the grocery stores (last 20 years). Every year the location you are camping on floods and holds at least 3 feet of water, hence we only offer seasonal camping. This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! Will was a great host and has a great spot perched up on the hill. The space is very accessible and our two dogs had more than enough room to play and get all their energy out. We will definitely remember this spot the next time we are in the area.

Weekend Trip to Hood Canal Oyster Farm | Lilliwaup

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Jim's Hood Canal Oyster Farm. We originally booked site #2 but Jim contacted us prior to our arrival and invited us to stay at site #1 which became available. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. All three sites are very well kept, peaceful, and private. The hookups worked perfectly, and our 21' class C RV had no issues with the short steep climb to the site. Site #1 is the largest and we loved the herb garden and table. I did notice that site #3 is more private and would have fit our RV with no issues. We hope to be back soon. We can't thank Jim enough for the absolutely delicious oysters from his farm.

Beautiful spot! Arrived on Thanksgiving night to a soggy and foggy view but the next morning woke to blue skies and beautiful Mountain View’s! Plenty of space and the deck and fire pit (although weather prevented us from using) was a wonderful addition. Even though the location is amount neighbors and other homes, it felt very private and very quiet. The views can’t be beat! Would stay again.

We had a lovely Fall stay this weekend in our little camper. We loved the sounds of the coyote calls through the night. They were quite talkative but it was fun to hear the wildlife around us! My dog really enjoyed having the freedom and space to run and play. The quaint town of Duvall is super close so we enjoyed a beautiful brunch before packing up for home.
