This property is a great camp for enjoying everything that Eastern Washington outdoors has to offer. The Columbia river is in the valley below which provides fishing and watersports. The property is adjacent to thousands of acres of State and federal land which are free to explore. Winter tends to bring significant snowfall which makes this a great destination for winter sports as well. The property sits on top of a mountain plateau known as Harmony Heights. We do not take late comers as we are a farm and are early to bed and early to rise. I'm sorry!
We are the third generation in this location and the great grandparents had the adjoining property. My father was born and died in this house, and I was raised here also. After teaching for 32 years my husband and I inherited the farm from my folks who have since passed. There are no orchards left on the property but we are moving on with a vegetable and flower garden, goats, chickens and a llama. We have a gorgeous view of Lake Chelan but can only offer dry camping at this time. Our area has a multitude of things to do!

My family had an amazing time! Very peaceful and quiet by the river and the close bathroom was a big plus. We loved relaxing by the water and falling asleep to the river noise. The owners curated a magical spot with plenty of seating, tiki torches, games and plenty of table space. Perfect to just bring a tent and food!

The campsite itself is on the edge of a ranch that sits on the Chewack River. It is flat, amongst trees and has a short trail to the river. All things we look for BUT there are even more reasons to love this place like the wildlife, the access to a ton of recreational opportunities, the close enough-ness to Winthrop, and the stunning scenery! We had an epic time and are already figuring out how to get back.

This was my second stay at this amazing site. Due to the horrible fires (smoke), we were doubtful that the trip was going to happen. Angell did a terrific job of communicating the entire time leading up to our stay and in all actuality, I had sent a message the day before stating our information led us to decide against making the trip. She was able to provide pictures of the current conditions and we changed our minds and went. Glad we did.

We were unable to make our reservation due to air quality, but I still want to give a huge shout out to the host of this property, Tink. He was more than accommodating during this situation. Not only was he willing to give daily updates about the air quality prior to our trip, he was more than happy to refund or reschedule us, and gave us the choice. The refund was prompt, and we definitely plan to reschedule!

What a lovely little hideaway. If you want to camp near to Winthrop but don’t want to have to deal with loud neighbors this is your stay. We loved the close river access (2 min walk), cattle and deer nearby and the lovely hosts. We’ll be back!

Deer came right up into our site a couple of times as they browsed their way through the countryside.
Close to Winthrop and not a bad drive to trailheads in the North Cascades.
