This desirable location is both close to the entrance but also the road. During the busy season the line for the Nisqually entrance can back up over three miles long. I have been coming to Packwood every summer since the 90's and as it was well before Hipcamp, would camp in campgrounds or stay in local motels. I finally decided buying a piece of property would make sense. I had driven by this property several times over the years, but didn't set foot on it until after I had purchased it. I only removed older dead/dying trees , then planted new trees and bushes in hopes of keeping the property in a more natural state. The trail through the property on the river side was made by Elk passing through, which is why that area remains un-fenced. The property is located in a High Valley Country Club neighborhood and only a few miles from the town of Packwood. Learn more about this land: Bring your trailer, camper or motor home (and a tent if you like) then relax and enjoy a park like setting with hookups - water, power (50, 30 and 20 amp service) and Wi-Fi. NO TENT CAMPING ONLY. There is NOT a bathroom on the property. Tents must be in conjunction with an RV that has a indoor toilet/shower (no outdoor showering). Wi-Fi on the property makes staying connected easy. There is fire pit (washer drum) and free chopped wood for campfires. There is a park style charcoal BBQ grill for guest use (guests will need to supply their own charcoal). Located in a High Valley Country Club (HVCC) neighborhood, the property is one lot from Cowlitz river access. Swimming (Memorial Day through Labor Day) and golf are close by at the HVCC, which is about 1.5 miles away from the property. The property is close to Packwood (3.5 mi) where you will find groceries, restaurants, pizza, and The Goat (Mountain Goat Coffee Company). There are also two micro breweries, Packwood Brewing Co. and Longmire Springs and food trucks near both. Packwood (Skate Creek) State Park in only 2 miles from the property. There are hiking trails and public access to the Cowlitz River. Visit skatecreekpark dot org for more information. Lakes Scanewa, Riffe and Rimrock are all an easy drive from Packwood. Enjoy boating, swimming and fishing. During the winter months, White Pass ski area and snowmobile parks Sno-Park Skate Creek and Sno-Park Orr Creek are in the area. For something different, visit the Oak Creek Wildlife Area late November through March to watch elk feed by the hundreds. This is a NO smoking property.

In addition, we are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect 'meet in the middle' location. Locally, lakes Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Just five minutes away, Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing opportunities, summer concerts, and a playground for the kids. At camp. you can pick a deer trail and walk through a budding new forest or pick a bunch of wild blackberries, apples, mushrooms, or flowers. Enjoy communing with our goat, rabbit, turkey, chicken, and duck friends. Other animals include deer, skunk, coyote, and possum—bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out. While the campsite, play space, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild so bring your tromping shoes. We also have a playfield (with a net) so pack your movie screen, volleyball, soccer ball, bicycles or lawn darts too. We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. Cowlitz Falls Lavender Co. is quietly nestled in the heart of Randle, Washington, surrounded by the beauty of the Cascade Mountain Range and just a stone's throw away from the majestic Mount St. Helens. The fertile ground, courtesy of the active stratovolcano once known as Mount Lawetlat'la, provides the perfect foundation for our lavender fields. With pomace-enriched soil that aids in drainage, our farm boasts lush lavender plants thriving beneath a foot of rich topsoil. A hub for nature enthusiasts, our farm is a gateway to a plethora of outdoor adventures, from nearby campgrounds to the serene Lake Skanewa and the meandering Cowlitz River. The spirit of our farm traces back to 2014 when we embarked on a journey of turning neglected land into a flourishing lavender sanctuary. Despite facing setbacks like the loss of Debbie in 2018, we remain steadfast in carrying forward her vision. Our recent milestone was the grand celebration of Debbie's dream at our largest festival, where thousands flocked to revel in the lavender harvest, painting classes, and community spirit. As we navigate the challenges of farming and entrepreneurship, we are grateful for your support in shaping our lavender legacy.

Majestic Meadows

Majestic Meadows is located on the back forested side of 10 acres. Each campsite is placed far enough apart to have privacy to enjoy the serenity of the camping experience. The property is filled with wild life. Mornings will be greeted with birdsong and our fields occasionally with elk, dear, and coyotes. Our property is a bird haven, so if you love watching birds we get regular sightings of Hawks, Eagles, Sparrows, Robins and little peaks of the adorable Humming birds. Our bunny population has no issues reproducing and filling all our bushes with their cute tails. If adventure is your desire, we are located perfectly! Mt. Rainier scenic drive can be enjoyed from either 401 or a short drive to the southern entrance. Passing through Elbe where you can stop for a nice bite to eat on a train at the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. or visit a car show in the small quaint town of Eatonville. There's a plethora of things to do from hiking to kayaking, fishing, scenic drives, memorable dining, buying local organic fruit, visiting the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and so much more. We truly love our property and it's location and we're excited to share it with you. NOTE: Please clean up after pets and do not leave your trash. We do not offer trash services here. If you see a trash bin it is most likely for storing our kindling. Please do not leave your trash in it. Pack it out with you. We maintain our property and clean the toilets once or twice a week. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have about your stay or local attractions.
