We are a one hundred year old family owned farm with an organic garden, Permaculture garden, an apiary, and Christmas trees on six acres. We have Horseshoes, Tether ball, Disk Golf, Corn Hole and a small library for you to enjoy. Early spring the frogs go crazy later followed by the sounds of nesting birds. Fall is the season for migrating birds that rest at the ponds next door. August is the time to fill up on blackberries. There are individual campsites with a barbecue and picnic table and a shared fire pit. The fire pit didn't see much use last two years because of the fire danger so we have moved it to an open area that will be safer and hopefully be open longer, there is also an area at each campsite if you want to bring a propane fire ring (or we will have some for rent). You can star gaze from the fields and the major constellations can be seen on a dark night. We are becoming increasingly suburban and there is some road noise that can be heard and even with farms on three sides of us, you still might hear our neighbors in the distance. Campsites one and four are across the road from each other and campsites two and three are adjacent to each other, perfect if you have another family traveling with you. The Washington State Fair is 3.9 miles/ 13 minutes away, Tacoma Dome 7.5 miles/ 18 minutes, Point Defiance Park Zoo and Aquarium 19 miles/ 30 minutes and Wild Waves water park is 15 miles/ 26 minutes away. There is a gallery of wild life photography taken on the farm displayed in the outhouse. Eagles, hawks and Ospreys are frequent visitors to our property.

Majestic Meadows is located on the back forested side of 10 acres. Each campsite is placed far enough apart to have privacy to enjoy the serenity of the camping experience. The property is filled with wild life. Mornings will be greeted with birdsong and our fields occasionally with elk, dear, and coyotes. Our property is a bird haven, so if you love watching birds we get regular sightings of Hawks, Eagles, Sparrows, Robins and little peaks of the adorable Humming birds. Our bunny population has no issues reproducing and filling all our bushes with their cute tails. If adventure is your desire, we are located perfectly!
Mt. Rainier scenic drive can be enjoyed from either 401 or a short drive to the southern entrance. Passing through Elbe where you can stop for a nice bite to eat on a train at the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. or visit a car show in the small quaint town of Eatonville. There's a plethora of things to do from hiking to kayaking, fishing, scenic drives, memorable dining, buying local organic fruit, visiting the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and so much more. We truly love our property and it's location and we're excited to share it with you.
NOTE: Please clean up after pets and do not leave your trash. We do not offer trash services here. If you see a trash bin it is most likely for storing our kindling. Please do not leave your trash in it. Pack it out with you. We maintain our property and clean the toilets once or twice a week. You will be staying in a rural area with open pasture and a beautiful walking trail nearby.
A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget.
The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue.
The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants.
If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year.

The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. Great location, great host. No smoking anywhere on the property and the oversellus barking neighbor dogs were kind of a pain as we had to keep our babies inside the whole time. But, a very good place if you do not smoke and have no dogs. The site can be difficult to navigate if you are limited on experience.

Jenel and Khohay are some of the most attentive, considerate, and genuinely kind hosts out there! They made sure to give us a tour of the land and give suggestions as soon as we arrived. My friend and I had an amazing time enjoying the peaceful location and defending our garbage from the goats!
Their farm also has everything you could need! Firewood, a shower, WiFi, indoor stove/refrigerator should you want it, but open fields and lots of nature if that’s all you’re looking for! 10/10 stay!

My friends and I had a great time and the owners were great and very helpful. The horses and goats were so sweet and I even found a kitty that was just as nice. The view of Mt. Rainier was great for photos and there’s a river nearby that is nice to cool off in. Overall great experience!

Amazing experience on the farm! Jenel and Khohay are very friendly and kind hosts. It was so nice seeing all the farm animals - they’re right next to you! I highly highly recommend the Khohay farm. If you’re new to camping at all, this is a very ease into the experience :)

The site was peaceful and private. We appreciated how responsive the host Jennifer was. The outhouse started to get low on toilet paper and she responded quickly and refilled it, thank you!

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm
Jenel & Kohay's tiny home is an absolute gem. The place is private and has a variety of amenities for a very comfortable stay, including a kitchenette. It was lovely to wake up amongst the different farm animals and wildlife. Jenel and Kohay are so welcoming and accommodating and made us feel like we stayed with them not at their property, but at their home. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. We cant wait to return for round two. I can't recommend their place enough. Thanks again for everything!

2 nights at The Khohay Farm
Jenel and Khohay were such great hosts! They had really good recommendations, were so accommodating and helpful and we had such fun interactions with them.
The cabin itself is quite cozy and really well put together. The farm vibe was serene and calming - all in all a perfect weekend getaway. Can’t wait to be back :)

Argh!! Absolutely loved staying at The Plank and Pillow! Fabulously themed pirate cabin right on the lake with all the water crafts needed to enjoy the surrounding area. The lake is huge with lots of fingers but quiet due to motor boats being limited to 5mph. The hubby caught 2 big fish off the pedal boat, the kayaks were used till we could paddle no more, and my 17 year old loves herself a paddleboard! Roasted hotdogs and s’mores at the fire pit. The evening lighting that kicked in on its own was very cool! My crew has stayed at many a lakeside cabin and this is our new favorite spot. We had such a good time, even with cloudy weather and using a portapotty. Exceptional location, exceptional hosts! We highly recommend and will definitely drop anchor again in the future
