Our group-style camping area is ideal for small groups of people or couples. We have a total of 4 spots. Spot #1 is our largest spot, suitable for 4 or 5 two-person or three-person tents. Spot #2 is a bit smaller, ideal for up to 3 medium-sized tents. Spots 3 and 4 are suitable for two small to medium-sized tents. Camp spots are next to each other, so there's not a lot of "wild forest camping" here. We refer to it as urban camping. All spots are level and graveled. Please be aware that there is some traffic noise in the area, as we are near Highway 2. There are also picnic tables in the camping area for all campers to use as well as several hammocks.. Access to the river is very nearby. Weekend camping is limited, and you may occasionally hear the sound of a train whistle. WiFi and a fire pit are included, as well as on-site port-a-potties. Hot outdoor showers are also on-site and available to all rafters and campers. There is a large communal fire pit, but no individual campfire pits; however, the option is to bring a propane stand-alone fire pit. Fires are allowed in April, May, and June; the fire ban starts on July 1st due to wildfire concerns. No smoking and children are OK as long as they are kept under control and monitored at all times. Our property features potable water, on-site outdoor showers, and a foot-operated hand wash station. Our camping area is somewhat small and does not have grass, but it is graveled. Please be respectful of our neighbors and other campers by keeping your music at a low to medium volume. Please bring a photo ID and a credit card to complete our camper registration form. Weekend Trip to Peterson Lake Ranch

Hauntingly serene and remote location in the basalt columned scablands of Eastern Washington on the unrestored portion of a family ranch in the Crab Creek bottoms. Interesting historic barns and structures with cool vintage retired machinery. It’s a new HipCamp and will likely get some improvements, like signage and some tidying of the immediate grounds and perhaps more detail in the listing. There’s only one hookup spot, so if it’s taken, you’ll be dry camping. But the host was amenable to getting some distance from the other guest while I was there. The price is very reasonable. The region has so few camping opportunities, I’m grateful they opened up this gem. BNSF trains run by a couple times an hour 200 yards away, but no crossings for miles, so no whistles.

Weekend Trip to River Recreation's Basecamp

Don's space was a decent place to spend a quick night while we were at an event in Leavenworth. Directions were clear and the site was tidy. It's located on his basecamp for river rafting, so it's convenient for a quick night or two, but wouldn't be intended for private relaxation. The white noise from the river and wind was great! The traffic noise isn't disturbing, and the train only went by once.

Weekend Trip to Swiftwater Farm Entiat WA

Spend 4 days and 3 nights at Swiftwater. Tracy is an amazing host. She is very friendly and at the same time not intrusive at all. The Riverside beach is great and provided plenty of shade and sand for the kids to have a great time. The camp is conveniently located near Lake Entiat, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, and Chelan. I cannot recommend this site enough.

2 nights at River Recreation's Basecamp

Don is super kind and even though he was not there he was quick to answer the phone anytime we had questions. Cute little place that we fortunately got to ourselves :) we slept on hammocks one night, which was super fun. The train noises aren’t that bad and neither was the interstate across the river, the river flowing makes up for it. I would definitely recommend this place for a group, we were just a group of girls and we felt totally safe here.

Loved this mountain space, drove down a gravel road through some beautiful farmland before we reached our spot. Set up a tiny fire in the pit and a tent for the night and it was perfect! A little windy, as expected from the top of a scenic mountain, but overall a wonderful experience. Would come again and recommend to anyone looking for a private camping spot to enjoy the views and wind down :) Thanks for the stay

Beautiful views! Nice and flat spot to setup our tent. The ground was hard so we couldn’t put the tent stakes in the ground, but fortunately there was very little wind so it wasn’t an issue. We will definitely try and come back again.

We rented Maggie's trailer for Watershed weekend and it worked out great. They were very responsive with any questions we had, it was very clean and comfortable. Great location not only from the ampitheater but the river is across the street and the trailer is on a quiet road very peaceful.

Weekend Trip to Earthlight Camping

This spot delivered on views, privacy, and relaxation! Stunning and unique. Things to note: Yes - there is a well maintained dirt/gravel road to the campsite, but it's still quite rough so drive slowly & make sure you bring a vehicle that can withstand some rough washboard conditions. Wind - Previous posters mentioned this, but the when the wind kicks up, it's legit. There's no way a fire would have been safe or it be feasible to pitch a tent (the ground is very rocky, so this might be difficult anyway) in these conditions. With this said, the wind died down completely by midnight and it remained totally still the next morning, so I think it's just something to be prepared for. Our campervan provided the provisions we needed in the unexpected conditions, but you may want to bring a contingency plan if you plan to tent camp/rely on an open fire. We didn't have any trouble at all in mosquitos or hornets in mid-July. If you're a photographer - bring your gear. The sunset is stunning, the stars are abundant, and even the rolling fields that travel through to get to the site are beautiful we saw deer prancing through these! Great communication from the host - take his advice and use WAZE. The wayfinding signage is very good.

1 night at Goose Creek RV Park & Cabin Rentals

This is one of the rare places that is BETTER than the pictures! More like a nice hotel suite with a kitchen. Comfy extra wide bunks for my two teenagers and a private bedroom for us. So many thoughtful little touches—cool lamps, toiletries, and you don’t have to go outside for the immaculate bathroom. It’s in an RV/bunkhouse resort, so you walk or drive a bit to recreation. We were there to see the Grand Coulee—spectacular free night light show at the Dam and the turbine tour in the morning. (Free.) I include the picture of the view from the back bedroom because, while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s very much mine. I was there to show my kids the immense scale of inland industrial infrastructure. There were decoupling trains in the early morning and my 17 year old and I watched the engines—and the deer—and talked about what it took to build American civilization, from the silos to the trains to the dams. It turned philosophical. Absolutely loved it and will be back.

Awesome! So many options for how to orient our camper van - had a hard time choosing because all of the views are stunning. Complete privacy. Our stay was super windy - fun for van campers, but I’d worry about a tent! Listen to the host and ignore Google maps’ route in - follow the signs once you hit the area. Such a terrific 2-day secluded getaway.
