The property backs up to Dept of Natural Resources Land, which is accessible by hiking in only (no motor vehicles or ATVs). There is a trail on property and many miles of gravel roads available for biking. Indoor bathroom inside our home is available as needed. Well Water available by hose to fill containers or tanks as needed. Mountain bikes recommended (no motor bikes/ATVs allowed). Campfires are not allowed. Hauntingly serene and remote location in the basalt columned scablands of Eastern Washington on the unrestored portion of a family ranch in the Crab Creek bottoms. Interesting historic barns and structures with cool vintage retired machinery. It’s a new HipCamp and will likely get some improvements, like signage and some tidying of the immediate grounds and perhaps more detail in the listing. There’s only one hookup spot, so if it’s taken, you’ll be dry camping. But the host was amenable to getting some distance from the other guest while I was there. The price is very reasonable. The region has so few camping opportunities, I’m grateful they opened up this gem. BNSF trains run by a couple times an hour 200 yards away, but no crossings for miles, so no whistles.

Great place with a beautiful view of the Valley, highly recommend staying at this location, I will be returning. The gift bag upon arrival was a real treat. Has lots of cool and interesting things to do while visiting including some treats. The fresh fruit right beside the camp spot was another great treat and nice to have. This is an active farm so take that into consideration when booking. Extremely respectful people that work on the farm that respect peoples privacy, very friendly work force. Would highly recommend this location, only 7 minute drive to amenities and beach areas.

Absolutely amazing spot! We're traveling across the country this summer and this was by far one of the best. We work from the road and Starlink worked great here. We have a 26' travel trailer and it fit perfectly. I can't imagine anything much bigger driving down the narrow dirt roads and getting up the little hill to the spot, but if you can get there, you definitely should. We can't wait to come back!

What a unique tent camping site with the best views and you’re in an apple orchard!! We had 4 adults and two kids and were able to set up three tents in the grass!! Host left us a gift upon arrival which was a nice touch!! Site #1 is a gem and will be our go to camping spot next time we come to Lake Chelan 😀

Beautiful and private, we had an incredible time at site #1. We will definitely be back. Note for those towing a trailer there is a turn up a gravel hill that could be a problem for larger rigs. But I had it with a 20 ft trailer no problem and I am brand new to towing.

So, let me begin with the view…AMAZING! The drive in was breathtaking. The spots give you space between any other campers. Like lot of space. Yes, you must go to the winery. The way Renato shares about the wines, his story and the land. You are transported to a magical place. The wine is also unique- just go. If you want to go into town, just a short drive. You want to explore there are trails. We clearly had not been camping in a while and forgot our converter for the electric plug in. We didn’t have a camper, we were tenting it. We had our mattress to inflate. Rookie move. If you are familiar with the eastern part of the state, you know it can get breezy - made it for a comedy or errors putting up tent. Lots of bonding. The nights were amazing we didn’t put our rain covers on and just slept under the stars. Renato was a very good host. Just like you have read he is there to greet you and give the lay of the land. We went to tasting room twice. Just as much for the wine as for his stories and learning more about wine. No matter of camping level, great get away. You just have to see it to believe it.
