This property has two locations, the south .5 acre lot in the unincorporated area of East Wenatchee above the Coyote Dune beach area on the Columbia River. This location includes two sites, a dry camp area and a furnished bungalow. Both are on the same land and overlook the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers. To the west you will view the Enchantment Wilderness rising above Leavenworth, Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort to the south, and the Washington Scablands are to the east. The other location is a 24 farm with about 3,500' of frontage on the Entiat River. The land's history has included use as pasture, orchards, and flowers. It's currently identified as a silvo pasture farm growing native fir trees harvested in 60+ years as telephone poles. During this time, we pasture the land between the trees with livestock grazing. The current owners purchased the farm fall of 2023 from a family estate that owned it since the 1970s. It is considered a legacy project as work progresses to Firewise the land, which is the removal of dead trees and undergrowth fuel. This best protects old-growth trees on the farm. These big old trees also provide critical cooling and shade to the many salmon that work their way up the Entiat River to spawn. There are times during the year when salmon can be spotted swimming, resting, spawning, or dying along the river. During the 2025 grazing season, pasture 1 with 5 acres along the river fed 8 Katahdin Sheep. Spring 2026, bison, cattle, and goats will be moving into pasture #2 with 7 acres that climbs the mountain along the west border. Eagles, Osprey, Red Tail Hawks, Owls, Blue Jays, Chickadees, Beaver, Otter, Martin, American Dippers, Blue Herons, waterfowl, bats, mushrooms, and a variety of other interesting birds and bugs abound. I’ll guests must be self contained as the farm has freshwater and a shop restroom, but does not provide hook-ups or restrooms in camp areas. Weekend Trip to Peterson Lake Ranch

Hauntingly serene and remote location in the basalt columned scablands of Eastern Washington on the unrestored portion of a family ranch in the Crab Creek bottoms. Interesting historic barns and structures with cool vintage retired machinery. It’s a new HipCamp and will likely get some improvements, like signage and some tidying of the immediate grounds and perhaps more detail in the listing. There’s only one hookup spot, so if it’s taken, you’ll be dry camping. But the host was amenable to getting some distance from the other guest while I was there. The price is very reasonable. The region has so few camping opportunities, I’m grateful they opened up this gem. BNSF trains run by a couple times an hour 200 yards away, but no crossings for miles, so no whistles.

Spend 4 days and 3 nights at Swiftwater. Tracy is an amazing host. She is very friendly and at the same time not intrusive at all. The Riverside beach is great and provided plenty of shade and sand for the kids to have a great time. The camp is conveniently located near Lake Entiat, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, and Chelan. I cannot recommend this site enough.

Loved this mountain space, drove down a gravel road through some beautiful farmland before we reached our spot. Set up a tiny fire in the pit and a tent for the night and it was perfect! A little windy, as expected from the top of a scenic mountain, but overall a wonderful experience. Would come again and recommend to anyone looking for a private camping spot to enjoy the views and wind down :) Thanks for the stay

Weekend Trip to Earthlight Camping

This spot delivered on views, privacy, and relaxation! Stunning and unique. Things to note: Yes - there is a well maintained dirt/gravel road to the campsite, but it's still quite rough so drive slowly & make sure you bring a vehicle that can withstand some rough washboard conditions. Wind - Previous posters mentioned this, but the when the wind kicks up, it's legit. There's no way a fire would have been safe or it be feasible to pitch a tent (the ground is very rocky, so this might be difficult anyway) in these conditions. With this said, the wind died down completely by midnight and it remained totally still the next morning, so I think it's just something to be prepared for. Our campervan provided the provisions we needed in the unexpected conditions, but you may want to bring a contingency plan if you plan to tent camp/rely on an open fire. We didn't have any trouble at all in mosquitos or hornets in mid-July. If you're a photographer - bring your gear. The sunset is stunning, the stars are abundant, and even the rolling fields that travel through to get to the site are beautiful we saw deer prancing through these! Great communication from the host - take his advice and use WAZE. The wayfinding signage is very good.

Awesome! So many options for how to orient our camper van - had a hard time choosing because all of the views are stunning. Complete privacy. Our stay was super windy - fun for van campers, but I’d worry about a tent! Listen to the host and ignore Google maps’ route in - follow the signs once you hit the area. Such a terrific 2-day secluded getaway.

This spot was very quiet. It is on the edge of a neighborhood that didn't have a lot of vehicle traffic. It is close to the Columbia River Loop Trail, just a 5 minute walk to connect to the dog friendly trail. Only negative was the lack of any shade. Full sun... no shade. Tough on me and my dog.

Was a little nervous with the rocky drive in and finding a spot to stake down the tent was a bit of a challenge but the views are worth it! The beautiful wildflowers, shaded swing, light breeze, glowing sunset and clear skies to see the stars were highlights of this trip!
