This backyard shed conversion is a perfect mix of comfy and quirky! Ms Pacman, Beanie Babies, and a lips couch all make an appearance in this suburban backyard glamping experience! At just 186 square feet, this spot is all yours to enjoy away from the noise of the city in our large, lush backyard. You have a private patio to smoke or enjoy meals on our cedar deck, or enjoy a drink in the shared hammock space under our towering Eastern Hemlock tree. Your quiet backyard refuge is equipped with everything you’ll need for a fun weekend away. We are just two blocks from the bus stop--close to the airport, close to downtown, and walkable to White Center. And only two blocks from your door is Westcrest Park, a Greenbelt with trails and a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline. If you feel like staying in, enjoy our “mini arcade” or make use of some of our board games or coloring books. Relax on an iconic Seattle drag bar’s original “lips couch” or grab a book from our queer library. This is a stand alone structure w/small AC unit and wall heater. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, this IS a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, but don’t bop your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows. Everything is washed with free and clear detergent for sensitivities. We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove, coffee supplies (keurig pods, pour over coffee with creamer/sugar), wine opener, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. One block away is Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. A mile north, explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. 2 blocks south is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has breweries, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, and plenty of coffee shops/restaurants.

Cute little wood cabin on a large, quiet lot, with covered porch looking out towards the water near the end of Cole's Point. Gravity fed fresh water at the sink on the porch. Inside, includes couch, queen bed, twin bed, fridge with chilled water, freezer, microwave. Nicely heated in winter and stays cool in summer. Sitting in comfy camp chairs on the covered porch can be magical during a spring rain. Outhouse with nightlight and composting toilet. Firepit with kindling and firewood in winter. (Summer fires are not allowed.) Short walk to the beach to the north. Short walk south to the edge of the Oro Bay as well. Kayaks can be rented on island. (Not related to the host.) Multiple hikes / walks within Jacob's Point, Andy's Marine Park, and 7 other parks on island. One wonderful little grocery store on island for fresh or incidental items along with one cafe, and one restaurant. The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. There is no smoking of any kind in the cabin or on the property. Want to add boating to your visit, reach out to South Sound Sailing Tours / Capt. Corey (360) 489-7476, CaptainCorey76@gmail.com .

Wake up in the woods to fresh espresso pulled by certified baristas — yes, really. Forest Farm is a cozy camp tucked into 50 private acres of lush PNW forest, lovingly tended as part of our work as sustainable forest stewards and farmers. Great for couples, friends, and families with kids ages 7 and up. Our forest trails, hidden swing set, fire ring, and resident dragon make for the kind of woodland magic that kids love. Have a younger one? We consider littler adventurers on a case-by-case basis — just message us before booking. Working remotely? Trade your home office for the forest. With strong cell signal, reliable wifi, device charging, and a covered common area that makes a surprisingly good outdoor desk, Basecamp works beautifully as a weekday workation — deep-focus days among the trees, barista-made espresso instead of the office machine, and trails to wander on your lunch break. Ask us about midweek and extended stays. Just a short hop from the Seattle ferry, spend your days exploring charming Kitsap towns, kayaking the shoreline, beachcombing, or chasing the bioluminescence tours at Port Gamble — then come home to the quiet of the trees. Or simply slow down: wander the trails, find the swing set hidden like a secret, gather around the fire ring, and gaze up at a sky full of stars. Stay at Basecamp, our pair of charming wooden A-frame cabins near the farmstead, with common area, pellet stove, hammock, and fire ring all to yourself. Add our optional morning coffee service — guests say it makes the stay feel more like a rustic B&B than a campsite. Feeling adventurous? Venture into our back 40, where secluded clearings, creek access, and winding trails wait to be explored. Good to know: portable toilet, potable water, sink, and charging stations provided. Bring your camp basics and a sense of wonder.

Beachlovers, watersports lovers, this is a great location on beautiful Vashon! I call this opportunity "Wild Card Camping" because what I'm offering isn't typical: camping plus limited, shared use of my empty vacation cabin while it's being renovated for a fall rental. Inside, guests have access to a bathroom with a shower, Wi-Fi, plus a table and chairs for air-conditioned relaxation with fellow campers on hot days. The cabin is otherwise unfurnished. For a small fee ($3), you can also arrange to use the laundry. There is room for one camp site in a small field below the cabin. There is a second "site" for one or two people who would like to "camp" in one of the bedrooms. You provide all of the contents of the room. Call it an "ADU" for non-campers or an elderly but still feisty person. Pets are allowed at the site for $10 per pet/per booking. If you would like to bring a pet, please add the Pet Fee which is listed as an Extra during the booking proc Here's why the location is so special: A short 10- to 15-minute walk through the nearby historic hamlet of Ellisport brings you to KVI, the island's largest sand spit and one of its best beaches. You can also launch a kayak or paddleboard from Crow Beach, a sandy shoreline right next to the bus stop and even closer to your campsite. During July and August, you can pick blackberries on the property, listen to owls at night, hear eagles and ospreys calling during the day, and maybe even spot a deer wandering through. Hike or bike to a local café for coffee and pastries, or hop on the Route 119 bus (weekdays only), which stops next to Crow Beach, and head into town to shop or dine at one of Vashon's wonderful restaurants. Ride the bus in the other direction to hike the bluffs at the south end of Maury Island. Visit the golf course for a meal or a round of golf, or purchase a $17 day pass to the Vashon Athletic Club if you'd like to work out. You can also take the bus to either the north or south ferry terminal for day trips to Seattle or Tacoma. Wild Card Camping is located at the end of a dirt driveway off a road that has commuter traffic on weekday mornings and evenings. Traffic can also be heavier on summer weekends, but the area is generally very quiet during the middle of the day and after 6:00 p.m.

Tucked away beneath a cathedral of whispering evergreens, this hidden woodland retreat feels like stepping into a storybook. A winding path leads you to our sites; a rustic cabin along with a vintage camper van framed by forest shadows and sunlight, hidden beneath the trees and set above the view of life on an organic farm growing a variety of fruits and veggies that thrive in the unique mountain climate. Blowing gently is the ever-present evening breeze that carries the scent of pine and earth. Walk the paths lined with towering strong firs and swaying alders, protected by sword ferns and salmon berries, climbing and winding around 3 acres of secluded wild mountain space. As dusk settles, the forest comes alive with the songs of crickets and owls, while the setting sun casts a warm golden glow, guiding you back to your woodland sanctuary. Perfect for dreamers, stargazers, and anyone seeking a quiet escape, this retreat offers the magic of solitude without sacrificing comfort—a place where time slows down, and the simple beauty of nature takes center stage. 🌲✨ Outhouse bathroom and sinks are communal. All sites feature a sheltered cook nook perfect for outdoor meals or morning coffee. Each cook nook is stocked with clean potable water, butane burner with butane, plates(paper & ceramic), teapot, French press, cooking and eating utensils(plastic & metal), mugs, and basic cooking pans. Even though your retreat with us lets you unplug, Eatonville is close enough to conveniences and wild explorations to make your stay both comfortable and full of possibilities. The town offers charming local shops, art galleries, family‑style cafes, and a beloved cider‑house & live music venue at Mill Haus Cider Co. For adventures, you won’t be lacking. Northwest Trek Wildlife Park spans over 700+ acres, where tram rides and free‑roam tours let you watch bison, elk, wolves, and more in natural settings. The nearby Little Mashel Falls Trail offers a moderately challenging but beautiful hike with rich forest, cascading falls, and mossy surroundings. Ohop Lake gives you peaceful water access—great for fishing, boating, or just paddling quietly. Alder Lake is closest, bringing lakeside camping and scenic paddling.
