This is a working farm, we have animals, dirt, sticks, bugs, poop, and lots of opportunities to "connect" with Nature. All of our amenities are shared spaces, designed to foster community. You will find signs posted around the property with clear communication. All of our lodgings are off-grid with no electricity or running water. Water, electricity, and WIFI are available in the shared kitchen, garden, cafe, and lounging areas. Please bring battery-operated lights, bedding, and a pillow, unless otherwise noted.

Incredible location! This sweet cabin is nestled at the base of Mt. Jupiter, directly between Dosewallips beach and the Olympic national Park. There's lots of gorgeous, mossy maples, shaggy cedars, and elk herds roaming free. The Cabin is easily accessible from the road, and has parking available. There's a secluded fire pit behind the cabin with a seasonal stream running by. Its a relaxing place to hang out for a few days, and/or excellent basecamp to explore the amazing forests, mountains, and beaches nearby. Also, there's lots of great foraging to be done (nettles, mushrooms, and oysters; oh my!)
GPS LOCATION: When driving to the cabin, your GPS will tell you that 'your destination is on the left'. This is a lie. The cabin will be on the right. There is a metal gate that is closed with a chain but not locked.
CABIN LAYOUT AND SLEEPING AMENITIES: The Cabin is just a little guy; only 16'x20'. There is a kitchen, living room, and dining room area, and the bathroom is a separate room - we call it our 'studio cabin'. We have a fold out couch for which we provide linens, pillows, and a comforter. There is also an inflatable mattress that is a tight squeeze, but can allow for four people to sleep (with a little furniture rearranging). There is a deck that is large enough for a two person tent that would also make a four person camp-out comfortable.
All linens and towels are stored in the trunk and the bathroom cabinet. There is a 4' round dining room table with four chairs and a small table on the porch with two more chairs. All the cushions for the chairs are in a cabinet under the table inside.
ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, the cabin is not wheelchair accessible. There are 5 stairs up to the deck and the bathroom door is only 27" wide.
SURROUNDING AREA: There are small trails leading away from the cabin; do not walk down them! They lead to neighboring properties and I cannot guarantee that there won't be neighbors who would be very surprised by a stranger showing up on their land! There are lots of public trails only a few minutes drive in either direction from the property :)
STOLEN LAND: This property is on stolen, indigenous land. If you are Coast Salish or Makah, please get in touch with me for a discounted stay.

You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq.

The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit.
The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin.
The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting).
We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town!
The Purple Cottage offers a rustic retreat in a place that feels far away, but is an hour & a half from the bustling city of Seattle!

The Adventure Cabin is off-grid, with a woodstove as the only heat source. Dry firewood and kindling are on the porch, along with newspaper. A lighter hangs near the stove. Let indoor fires die out naturally. Do not remove wood or douse with water.
The off-grid system supports light electrical usage. You can charge phones or other small devices, but please do not plug in anything else not provided with the cabin.
An outhouse-style bathroom is provided, with a manual flush toilet and a foot-operated sink. Sink water is not potable.
Drinking and cooking water is provided via five-gallon jugs delivered to the cabin and bathroom. Rain barrels in the outdoor kitchen can be used for dishwashing if needed.
Farm & Wildlife Notes:
This is a working farm. Please keep gates closed to avoid wandering animals. Occasional cows, dogs, or ducks may appear—do not interact.
Local wildlife includes bears, cougars, bobcats, deer, and many small critters.
The cabin is in the woods, so you may encounter spiders, squirrels, large slugs, and other forest creatures.

Welcome to Crescent Beach & RV! We are a privately-owned and operated campground and RV park located in the heart of the Olympic Peninsula, just west of Port Angeles. With a wide range of accommodations, such as full and partial hook-up RV sites, tent sites, and rental cabins - our park is the perfect destination for those looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. In addition to stunning views and access to our 1/2 mile sandy beach, we offer a variety of amenities, including a volleyball court, horse-shoe pits, camp store, and quarter-operated laundry facilities & quarter-operated hot showers (open 7am-9pm during the summer, 9am-5pm during the fall/winter). No need to limit stays to the summer, we are open year-round for overnight stays as well as day-use.
Popular activities include walking on the beach, flying kites, building sandcastles, surfing and paddleboarding, birdwatching, playing with seaweed, checking out the tide pools at Tongue Point Marine Life Sanctuary, and hiking Striped Peak - to name a few. Our proximity to Olympic National Park and other local attractions make us a great base for exploring the nearby areas.

This is a great place to stop for the night, but one day might not be enough to meander the many paths, drink tea harvested from the herb garden, sit on a bench talking to ancient Maple trees, walk the stone labyrinth, wander the sacred Grove, and camp under the stars.

Bring your knitting, friends, or just a favorite book, and spend a few days in this tranquil destination, as this land has something to offer everyone.
Please NOTE:
This is a working farm, we have animals, dirt, sticks, bugs, poop, and lots of opportunities to "connect" with Nature. All of our amenities are shared spaces, designed to foster community. You will find signs posted around the property with clear communication. All of our lodgings are off-grid with no electricity or running water. Water, electricity, and WIFI are available in the shared kitchen, garden, cafe, and lounging areas. Please bring battery-operated lights, bedding, and a pillow, unless otherwise noted.

Incredible location! This sweet cabin is nestled at the base of Mt. Jupiter, directly between Dosewallips beach and the Olympic national Park. There's lots of gorgeous, mossy maples, shaggy cedars, and elk herds roaming free. The Cabin is easily accessible from the road, and has parking available. There's a secluded fire pit behind the cabin with a seasonal stream running by. Its a relaxing place to hang out for a few days, and/or excellent basecamp to explore the amazing forests, mountains, and beaches nearby. Also, there's lots of great foraging to be done (nettles, mushrooms, and oysters; oh my!)
GPS LOCATION: When driving to the cabin, your GPS will tell you that 'your destination is on the left'. This is a lie. The cabin will be on the right. There is a metal gate that is closed with a chain but not locked.
CABIN LAYOUT AND SLEEPING AMENITIES: The Cabin is just a little guy; only 16'x20'. There is a kitchen, living room, and dining room area, and the bathroom is a separate room - we call it our 'studio cabin'. We have a fold out couch for which we provide linens, pillows, and a comforter. There is also an inflatable mattress that is a tight squeeze, but can allow for four people to sleep (with a little furniture rearranging). There is a deck that is large enough for a two person tent that would also make a four person camp-out comfortable.
All linens and towels are stored in the trunk and the bathroom cabinet. There is a 4' round dining room table with four chairs and a small table on the porch with two more chairs. All the cushions for the chairs are in a cabinet under the table inside.
ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, the cabin is not wheelchair accessible. There are 5 stairs up to the deck and the bathroom door is only 27" wide.
SURROUNDING AREA: There are small trails leading away from the cabin; do not walk down them! They lead to neighboring properties and I cannot guarantee that there won't be neighbors who would be very surprised by a stranger showing up on their land! There are lots of public trails only a few minutes drive in either direction from the property :)
STOLEN LAND: This property is on stolen, indigenous land. If you are Coast Salish or Makah, please get in touch with me for a discounted stay.

Welcome to Olympic Wanderer! This fairy-tale nature retreat creekside cabin will wow you with its stellar location, lush grounds, hot-tub, and stylish interior. The cabin is nestled in a forested community next the hood canal, famous for its rich waters and shellfish harvesting. This is the perfect base for your adventures on the Olympic Peninsula, and is a great central location close to endless amazing hiking trails, including Olympic NP and multiple state parks less than 10 minutes away.
The highlight of the cabin is the log bridge across the creek! You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq.

What a beautiful view! The cabin was so cute and cozy with everything we needed. There were even some welcoming amenities for our pup, which we found very thoughtful. The cabins around us were all occupied although we didn’t hear or see anyone else the whole weekend (but it was winter). Our self check in was easy as could be and everyone we encountered working at the resort was very kind and warm.

Overall a great little cabin! It was tucked away in the woods and felt very private. The area was beautiful and the cabin was clean. Just a couple downsides, the cabin was pretty chilly especially at night since the wood stove wasn’t working and the little radiator heater was not strong enough to warm the whole place up. Also there were quite a lot of food items left over from previous guests (I assume). The freezer especially was very full and it was hard to fit my own food in there.
Also no cell service, which is both a pro and a con haha.

We went of for the weekend for a port gamble conference. After some research, we came across this lovely place! We absolutely looooooved the peacocks and goats! I would definitely love to visit again! The only thing I would recommend if you stay here through late fall or winter is to pack something warm to sleep in. It didn’t get a little chilly, but other than that, it was a lovely place. ♥️

We used this cabin as a base for exploring the forests and parks on the Olympic peninsula, and we had a blast. We were able to explore everything we wanted to, and return to a nice cozy and quiet cabin to rest and recover for the next day's dventures. The cabin had everything we needed for relaxing, and the hosts were responsive and had help available if anything small came up. Great place, would rent again if in the area.

We found a site by the Sol Duc River that was beautiful and private. The tent site had plenty of room, we were a long way from the main road, the picnic table was good. All in all, a good place to camp. It did rain lightly most of the time, so be advised that it is in a fairly wet part of the world.

The sites are small (I didn't mind) but the views and the big trees were really cool. The campground isn't far from a store and a gas station, and if you keep going down South Shore road, you will see some pretty stuff; I was there in May and everything was lush and green, the little streams and waterfalls were still quite robust; beautiful!

This campground is closed pending renovations. They need to remove trees that are in danger of falling. A commercial timber project is scheduled to be completed by the fall of 2019 before work to reopen the campground can be completed.

Site #14 - Best back-in trailer/RV spot. fairly private. River access.
Site #15 - Best multiple RV spot. Huge parking, flat area. Visible from the road which can be a bummer, especially in the fall. Wading pond can be stagnant during the summer (mosquitoes!). Good river access.

Site #11 - Overall good site, decent trailer parking if a bit shallow. Good water access and reasonably private, especially in the spring.
Site #12 - Excellent site, parking can be very tough for pulled trailers, low overhead (loops around a tree). Very private, good almost private river access due to up and downriver obstructions. Can be shady in the morning.
Site #13 - My favorite, good for back-in trailers. A bit of a steep dip from the parking to the main camp area, but private with excellent access to the river.

Site #8 & #9 If you're bringing the whole block up for a party these are the sites for you. Lots of parking space (I've seen a camper truck, 2 SUV's and a sedan parked there at the same time). Huge open space and large access to the river behind the sites.
Site #10 - in throwing distance to #8 and #9, so risk of partygoers getting all up in your business. If you're good with that or the partiers are not up that weekend, then it's an excellent site. Good river access and parking. Nice flat areas for multiple tents.

Sites #5 & #6 - Good sites with access to both the feeder stream and the river behind the sites. Close together so good for large families or party goers. If you have too many people for two sites -- then #4 is a good overflow site for this group area. Tent only as the parking is for both sites and not easily accessed.
Site #7 - if you show up late on a friday or weekend chances are this is the only site left. Very exposed on 3 sides and faces the ranger board and pay site. No water access. Pretty much tent only - there's not really any parking

Sites #1 & #2 are good for large family groups, or a set of families. They are separated by brush and a fallen tree, but are still very accessible to each other. There is a steep drop off behind the sites to a feeder stream. No direct river access.
Site #3 has no direct water access, but is fairly isolated from the rest of the campground. Shady, and easy to back into. Good for a small group or large family.
Site #4 is a shallow, and very open site. Good if you don't care if everyone can see you. No direct river access. Drop off behind the site to the feeder stream.

Collins Campground was AMAZING. The campsites are gorgeous, especially the ones right on the river. We had scoped it out ahead of time, and were hoping to get site #12 with the little pull-through for vehicles, but it was taken when we got there so we ended up with #13. Which was a blessing in disguise, because it was chilly in the mornings, and we noticed that our neighbors didn't get any sunlight through their trees; however, our site was a bit more open and so it warmed up nicely. Try to bring plenty of water, because even though there IS water available at the Interrorem cabin a mile and a half away, it's well water (and if you are not used to it, the color might turn you off a bit.)

Loved the couple days we spent here! The bonus (for me, anyways!) was that they were one of a handful of campgrounds on the Olympic Peninsula that allowed campfires during the burn ban. Also, the little general store in Brinnon is conveniently located just a couple minutes away, in case you forgot the milk/ketchup/butter/forks (yes, we forgot ALL of those LOL)

Excellent place to camp early or late in the season. Large shady sites with easy access to the shore of Hood Canal. Be aware of Oyster harvest rules and regs before harvesting. All shells must be returned to the beach.

Go for one of the sites that has a view of the lake, it won't disappoint. There is a camp host on-site that sells firewood and ice. A well stocked general store, gas station, and forest service ranger station are all down the road near Lake Quinault Lodge.
