Private off-grid small cabin and tent site with views of the water and mountains. Private Beach (steep trail). The cabin can sleep up to four. Nestled in a grove of gnarled, moss-draped maples and cedars, our humble cabin overlooks a quiet saltwater bay. Its location offers the perfect blend of forest solitude and coastal serenity. Inside the cabin, you’ll find a toasty wood stove, a queen bed, and large bay windows where you can watch the water shimmer with the ebb and flow of the tides or see the sunset paint the sky, reflecting off the glassy surface of the bay. The only sounds are the cry of an eagle, the gentle lapping of the water, and the soft rustle of wind through the surrounding woods. A large deck attached to the cabin creates an idyllic retreat that feels suspended in time. Located near Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest, just five minutes from the town of Quilcene.Private site and 200 square foot cabin with a view of the water and mountains. Located on the shore of Quilcene Bay in Hood Canal. Cabin is a short 75 foot walk from the parking area, a wagon cart is provided to help haul your gear to the site. Cold water and composting toilet in cabin, hot shower outdoors. Cabin is off grid, everything runs on solar batteries or propane. Queen bed sleeps 2 and 2 people can sleep in the loft on thermarest mattress pads (provided). We also have a portable crib available. Private Beach down a steep trail.

Cute cabin with beautiful scenery
Moss Haven Cabin On Hood Canal
Amazing!! Joe's cabin is so cozy and he really does have *everything* you could need for a fun camping trip. He has roasting sticks, a cast iron, cooler with ice, salt and pepper, plates and utensils, mugs, coffee maker, lighters, spatulas and tongs, aluminum foil, baby wipes for the toilet, shampoo and body wash, portable lights, charging cables, everything!! I love the way everything is set up and the view is to die for. I would 100% stay here again if I'm in the area. The bed is also really comfortable with plenty of good pillows!!! The space heater is also fabulous because it's gas powered. Loved it all!

Solitude
Moss Haven Cabin On Hood Canal
We wanted solitude for a few days, and we got it. Joe has created a cozy space where we could settle in and have a fire, catch up on our reading, and enjoy a satisfying meal by that fire. Everything, even salt and pepper!, is there, except your food. Only left the space to go for a walk or take in Mt Walker. So glad we went.

This is a marvelous location to stay at. Joe has done an amazing job at creating a cozy and quiet space with a fantastic view. There are so many amenities to help make the stay very comfortable. The beach is great to explore at low tide. I would highly recommend this place if your looking to get away.

Moss Haven Cabin On Hood Canal
This place is magical! Tucked away in the forest with an amazing view of the bay. We way overpacked as Joe offered so many amenities including a cookware, outdoor stove, firewood, plenty of lights, extra chargers, towels and so much more. The hot shower was great and easy to use after a swim at the bay. The trail down to the beach is steep so make sure to wear good shoes, but he even had a floatie down there for folks to use. He met us to show us around/showed us how to use all the cabin features and even included a tide table. Beautiful and cozy space, highly recommend!

Beautiful off the grid cabin. We loved everything about it. The view was incredible. The beach was beautiful. Would highly recommend staying!

Moss Haven Cabin On Hood Canal
Joe thought of everything! You can tell this little cabin was a labor of love. We loved collecting oysters at low tide at the beach below. All amenities worked perfectly, and we did not ever run out of battery power. Our dog had a great time running around camp. Joe’s off-grid cabin is the perfect mix of roughing it with a few creature comforts.
