Weekend Trip to Lil Bit O' Heaven Camping

We had an awesome stay at Zach’s! Epic location. No problems plugging in my Tesla for some car camping before hiking to see the larches on Heather Maple Pass! We walked to the tavern down the road for dinner and met a cool local girl and made friends with the bartender Lori! The shower was such a nice treat after a long hike. Bathrooms were clean and the area was quiet. Trash cans available on site. Would highly recommend this spot!

Weekend Trip to Greenstone Farm Camping

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Greenstone Farms. The farm and the view are quite beautiful. We had fresh eggs for breakfast which was lovely. The horses visited us before headed home. The restroom was very clean and nice and had a heater which was nice since it was raining the night we showed up. We would have stayed longer but my husband wanted his recliner for the Mariners playoff game. I didn’t foresee that obstacle.

As a solo female RVer, I’m always looking for a safe spot to park and this private land tucked back in the woods was perfect for a three day stay on Whidbey. The bonus access to a kitchen, indoor bathroom and shower was great! Ryan, the host when I was there, was very friendly and helpful. And having the house lights on when I arrived (much later than I planned and after dark!) was most helpful to be able to quickly get the RV settled for the first night. I couldn’t quite find a level spot, but had I spent a bit more time and worked with my tire blocks I’m sure I could have figured it out. The turnaround was tight but doable with a 19 ft trailer and a 15 ft SUV but some longer rigs might have to do some fancy turns to get out. Overall, great value! Thanks for hosting on Hipcamp!

This is one of the better hip camps I’ve had. Really awesome space and will definitely come back. Great, responsive host. Just two things to note for people looking to book: 1) The sauna doesn’t get “sauna” hot and functions pretty much as a warm room. It’s still awesome that it’s there, but if you’re booking just for the sauna you should know that it doesn’t really get up to temp. 2) as I said, this space is awesome and as-advertised, but your enjoyment may vary depending on who else is camping here while you are. There is plenty of room to spread out, but if the other parties sharing this space with you have different ideas about privacy, noise, off-leash dog etiquette, etc., it could be annoying.

4 nights at Lil Bit O' Heaven Camping

Lovely site . Not necc private esp if the glamping dome occupied but it felt more like a community. River "access" (ie you could sit on a bench and gaze up in it) was either by the tent sites or there was one by the tiny house. The showers were wonderful and the toilets were flush and clean. Only issue is the parking location for the RV has no shade . On the warm days the RV cooked during the day. Thank God the nights/evenings were cool enough. The sewer connection will need a long hose and possibly some connector since it wasn't a sz that you could just leave your hose inside. We just used it to dump at the end and that worked. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet spot near the North Cascades NP

I stayed one night at Flamingo Ridge to organize my gear and prep for future car camping trips—and it was just what I needed. As an older woman traveling solo, I appreciated the quiet woods and the sense of safety and welcome. Ryan, my host, was incredibly helpful. The parking area was a bit uneven for my car “Sparky,” but he patiently helped me find the best spot. I was also greeted by Wendy and Peter—two exuberant German poodle puppies who added a delightful touch of joy to the experience. There’s a communal kitchen and bathroom, both clean and functional, with clear rules and information posted near the entrance. It’s not fancy, but it’s well thought out and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to reset, test your gear, or just enjoy the forest (with a few tail wags thrown in), Flamingo Ridge is a great choice. I left feeling more prepared and more relaxed than when I arrived.

Weekend Trip to Camp Hideaway

This was the perfect site for our gathering! The playground was a hit for kiddos, and was so nice to have a flushing toilet. The property is so beautiful, and was so nice to sit under the gazebo with a fire even when it was drizzling. The walk to the river was fun, and the kids loved looking at frogs and caterpillars. Lorrie was super communicative and the place was easy to find. Only thing to note is there is a rooster on an adjacent property who will cockadoodledooo all morning, so if you are a light sleeper it can be hard to sleep after about 4am.

Mimi's property was a hidden gem. We loved fishing in the lake, catch and release, large mouth bass. We reserved all 4 RV sites for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. We had a fun day swimming at nearby Stillaguamish River, and a great dinner at nearby Nuttys Roadhouse Grill (no bar there, though) The Landing is best if you are able to rent all 4 sites together with family or friends. Though very ample sized, there's not too much privacy between the sites if you don't know your neighbors. Mimi was so sweet and gave us privacy and space. This gorgeous property is a Dreamland in progress. They've done so much to landscape and improve the already perfect natural space. Having a reunion or wedding there would be perfect!

Weekend Trip to Camp Hideaway

Lorrie’s campsite is spacious well stocked with tables and chairs. Plenty of flat spaces for tents. There is a playground for kids and play area by the river. There is a clean flushable toilet and covered area. Some minor downsides are: lots of caterpillars dropping from trees and neighbors have roosters. Otherwise a great spot!
