Hi we’re Glen and Lisa Oostema – the proud owners of Oostema Farmstead, a working farm located a short drive from Lynden, WA. You will roam the 117 acres. We have raspberries and field crops that surround the Farmstead. You will also find our herd of cattle as we raise Grass-Fed Wagyu here on the Farmstead. We have loved sharing our home, and the Farmstead with many guests, turned friends, from all around the world! It is indeed our priority to provide a comfortable, beautiful, and peaceful space for you. But most importantly, we hope you will find rest and relaxation close to nature with a glimpse into a slow living pace, and we hope to share that experience with you through your stay. Welcome to The Little Farmhouse at Oostema Farmstead Set on our 117-acre working Wagyu cattle farm in Lynden, Washington, The Little Farmhouse is a cozy one-bedroom stay for guests who want calm, comfort, and space without the crowds of hotels. Out here, mornings start quiet. Most guests say they relax faster than they expected. Inside the Farmhouse Warm, simple, and comfortable. • Queen bed with premium linens • Cozy living area to read or unwind • Full kitchen for easy meals • Private bathroom • Fast WiFi Full Kitchen + Farm Store The kitchen includes pots, pans, dishes, and cooking basics. During your stay, you are welcome to shop our on-site farm store for Oostema Wagyu, eggs, breakfast sausage, and a few local favorites. Guests can also request a private shopping time with Lisa. Pick a cut, then cook it just a few steps from where it was raised. Private Hot Tub Guest-only hot tub access is available daily from 8am to 9pm. After booking, you will receive a link to reserve your personal time slot. Scheduling gives each guest dedicated soak time and allows proper cleaning and reheating between uses. Outside Is Yours to Enjoy Start your morning with coffee and fresh country air. You may see farm activity or other guests on the property, but it never feels crowded. Everyone has their own space and the atmosphere stays calm and low-key. Pet Policy One well-behaved dog under 50 lbs with prior approval and pet fee. Dogs must be leashed, supervised, off furniture, never left alone, and kept away from livestock. Please add your pet to the reservation to confirm approval. To Book Include the code word FARMSTEAD in your message to confirm you read the listing in full and agree to the house rules. A short rental agreement may be sent before arrival. Other Things to Note • Working farm setting with animals and equipment • Hot tub use is scheduled between 8am and 9pm • Rural location, getting around is easiest by car • Adults-focused atmosphere year-round (exceptions may be considered for school-related stays with guests ages 10+) Guest Interaction We live on-site and are available by message, typically between 8am and 9pm. Need a quiet place to reset? Welcome to The Little Barn at Oostema Farmstead, a cozy glamping stay on our working Wagyu cattle farm in Lynden, WA. It’s simple, peaceful, and made for guests who want fresh air, open views, and a real night’s sleep (without hotel crowds). Inside Solid walls, a real queen bed, soft lighting, a wall heater, small fridge, bar counter + stools, fresh drinking water, and a kettle for coffee or tea. Outside Park right next to the barn. Enjoy your picnic table, private fire ring, and space to walk or bike around the farm and soak up big-sky country quiet. Bathroom Setup No indoor bathroom. Just steps away you’ll have a clean, well-kept portable toilet + sink, plus a private outdoor hot-water shower. It’s tidy, close by, and part of the glamping vibe. Hot Tub Guest-only access daily from 8am–9pm. After booking, you’ll receive a link to reserve a private time slot so everyone gets dedicated soak time and we can keep things safe, clean, and hot. Farm Life This is a real working farm, expect livestock, equipment, and normal day-to-day activity. We also host other guests on the property, but everyone has their own area and the overall vibe stays calm and respectful. Farm Store Shop our small on-site store for Oostema Wagyu, eggs, breakfast sausage, and a few local favorites. Guests can request a private shopping time with Lisa for a fun full-circle farm-to-table moment. What to Bring If you plan to cook, bring simple items like a small pan, camp stove, or cooler. Dress for the outdoors, layers and sturdy shoes are best. Our rural location is easiest with a car. Pets One well-behaved dog under 50 lbs with prior approval and pet fee. Leashed, supervised, no furniture, never left alone, and kept away from livestock. Guest Interaction We live on-site and are a message away if needed, but we respect your space. Most guests come here to slow down, and that’s exactly what this place is for.

Very convenient location for staging for crossing at Sumas/Abbotsford. Quite detailed arrival instructions and videos! As others have mentioned the location is a very open area adjacent to the cow pasture. Three wooden picnic tables to choose from. The enclosed outdoor shower is nice and hot with a bench and plenty of hooks to hang clothes/towels. Outdoor, covered wash sink, trash containers, and well serviced port-o-potties. Would recommend for quiet, dry camping. Lots of care and thought put into setting this place up!

This is our third trip to LIsa's farm! Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful farm setting, convenient to Lynden, Everson, Ferndale, and Demming (this time were there to enjoy the Demming Log Show). Immaculately maintained facilities and gracious hosts as always!

My partner and I had such a lovely stay at Oostema! Lisa and Glen were so accommodating—they worked with us so we were able to charge our electric car at our site. The cows and chickens were so cute to see, the dahlia garden was gorgeous, and we left with some fresh pick veggies and a giant zucchini! Great place to stay en route to British Columbia.

Love this farm. Fresh country air . Super clean, excellent shower, and quiet. They have chickens but no rooster. Chickens are so cute and friendly . You can hear a very faint road noise from far away but I think that’s what partly made me sleep so good.. white noise. I shopped at the shop on site. It was filled with a few gift items, cheese, eggs, beef, and sausage. I bought a sweatshirt , two t-shirts for my grandkids and some beef. Picked flowers and raspberries from the host garden Host are very gracious. 10/10 best sleep out of the hip camps I stayed at so far.

Lisa & Glen have outdone themselves - this is the best HipCamp experience we’ve had! The space is so well designed, a hot shower & a sink area for dishes were a great extra touch! A big storm our 2nd night / Lisa was out that evening before giving everybody heads up and was out early the next morning making sure everybody was safe! Spotless restrooms, green grass to camp on and a beautiful garden on the property! Areas to relax or meander… a de-stressing paradise - especially with a no “under-age 18” policy… which was a plus for us! We had never camped on a working farm before we can’t wait to go back. We did some shopping in their on site farm store and they were so helpful & accommodating! Thank you Lisa & Glenn for a wonderful experience!

Lisa and Glen have been fantastic host. They greeted us the moment we arrived by the driveway and showed us the site. They ensured we have the stuff we needed on site (ie picnic table, chairs and all) The site was very quiet and calming with the cows in the background grazing the grass. It’s the best way to also learn and experience the farm.

Lovely spot in between the curious cows and the raspberry fields. The hosts are super and have farm fresh eggs and meats for sale. We stocked up. Highly recommend this stay. It’s so peaceful and offers a nice community of people to chat with.

Great weekend at Ooestema Farm! It was a perfect home-base for our excursions into Lynden for Raspberry Festival (which we strongly recommend!). We have now tried both the Field camping and spots with full hookups. Both are great, but on this trip we were happy to have electricity to run a bit of air conditioning during the late afternoon. LIsa, as always, is a gracious and organized host. Can't wait to return!

Loved our stay on the farm. The field (dry camping) location was perfect for us. It felt private (other campers were well spread out), very secure and the cattle spent most of the day just outside our window!

We loved our visit to the Oostema Farm. Our host, Lisa, was great to talk to and very welcoming. The video made arrival a breeze; we definitely recommend watching it before arrival. Our favorite part was the outdoor shower— what a relaxing treat!

Nice grassy lawn to park your tent and toes; after a day of wearing motorcycle boots it was great to walk around barefoot. I loved the shower too. Lisa was there to meet me and show me the tent site, plus all the other features of the camp. And just when another campers barking dog was getting on my nerves, she went over and got them to quiet it down. There are rules here so we can all get along. I had a very nice experience here and will consider this place again in the future.

⭐The Little Farmhouse (Adults Only)
My mom and I stayed at the tiny home for a long weekend and it was perfect. We didn't feel it was tiny at all, it was plenty of space for the two of us + my dog. It was extremely well stocked and well appointed. Lisa was a great host as well! The property and surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning. We loved that we were able to pick vegetables from the garden. If I'm ever in the area again, I definitely plan to return.

Man, what a beautiful and awesome place! The facilities are great, the farm is gorgeous, the grass is super well-kept and soft, and the hosts are so gracious. I would definitely recommend camping here!

The hosts greeted us, directed us to our spot. The farm had beef, halibut and fresh vegetables to purchase on their online store. It made for an incredible meal cooked on the BBQ available to guests peaceful work8ng dairy and raspberry farmstead.a delightful spot with camping, RV spots and cabins to enjoy. Did I mention the great hosts.....

Lovely green grass to walk barefoot on. Fun visiting w the chickens and piggies Lisa is a great hostess with good info about the surrounding areas
