Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula.
We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane fire-pits, are done at pay station at Campground or by calling the office.
We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. We have 15 tent sites and most are bigger tent sites, ones that are big enough for a RV on the East side of Pavel Road, Use our website dawleysrivercamping.com for details.
We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play.
Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca.
Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US!
We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21.
There are more sites on the other part of the Campground.
The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing.
The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play.

Tent camping here was great! There was plenty of communication and she was available for questions. Our site had plenty of room to have space from others but still were close to the amenities (shower, toilets - just portapots but very clean, and fire). The site was no more than 15 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go on the lake, and relatively close to plenty of hikes.

I absolutely loved it here. The sites are big and the host Teresa is so friendly & had lots of great insight about the area. The shower is fantastic, not very often I find one with good water pressure and super hot just how I like my showers. The only downside was the firepit, and having to lug everything up to the community area every night to have a fire. Still not a deal breaker though, we'll be back. 5 STARS💫💫💫💫💫

The walk to the river was wonderful and we could pretend we were alone there. The outhouse was well stocked and while we didn't have a picnic table, I bet there would be one soon as the other sites seemed to have one. Very close to Forks and amenities. Would absolutely come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Rest & River. We stayed in campsite #4 and loved how private and secluded it felt. But still close to the bathroom and main road to get to Forks and Quileute Res. It was a bit muddy from the rain but that didn’t bother us. Beautiful walk to the river. It seems like this place is only going to get better with time. We had an amazing stay at Deon and Kevin’s RV while celebrating my mom’s 50th birthday over the Fourth of July weekend. The RV was absolutely lovely and surprisingly spacious—more than enough room for our family of six to stay comfortably.
Deon and Kevin were wonderful hosts. They were always quick to respond, incredibly helpful with any questions we had, and accommodating to our needs throughout our stay. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
The views were beautiful, and watching the Fourth of July fireworks from the property was truly special. We also appreciated how peaceful and quiet it was at night, making it easy to relax and unwind after a fun-filled day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily book with Deon and Kevin again in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, scenic, and welcoming getaway!

Instead of fighting for a campsite in Olympic NP, we opted for a confirmed site at "Tenting in the Ceders" on our road trip from MD. We are glad we did! Great location near Lake Cresent activities (Devils Punchbowl and Marymere Falls/Mt Storm) and the shower is great, hot showers after a chilly swim in Lake Cresent was amazing. Would not hesitate to stay here again. If we stayed again we would probably pick one of the hight number sites that we could drive to, but that is on us. Owner had great communication when booking and with information about the site.

I camped here during a trip to Forks and Port Angeles with my friend who is from out of the state. We absolutely loved our time here and found the land to be very beautiful with wonderful hand carven wooden structures. I would 100% comeback again. Our site was 4B and it wasn’t an issue for us but I will say the platform for the tent is right next to the camps little road. Not too many people walked by but it was definitely one of the least private areas in the site. Outside of that’s there were all of the amenities and more! A full kitchen to cook, a shower with soap, shampoo conditioner and even towels. I wish I had known about the pizza oven because it seemed super simple to use! All you need is to bring some pizza making supplies and it should be good to go!
