Seaforest Eco-Retreat

We enjoyed staying here and felt the price reflected the quality/amenities. There was dish and hand washing water, it had a bug floating in it, so I wouldn’t say drinking water. The propane stove, tables, chairs and composting toilets were convenient. Only one stall had sawdust and it was mostly empty - but enough for our weekend trip. Site one is it’s own little section, site two is the path you walk through to reach site one. Close to Salt Creek recreation and Lake Crescent. It was nice to have a few things on site (like a stove, table and seating).

We had a lovely time at Seaforest! The location was beautiful, with so many trees and ferns and little curving pathways between areas, and we were lucky to have clear skies, with tons of stars peeking between the trees at night. The camp kitchen had an excellent stove, really tasty filtered water, additional backup water, and plenty of room to prep, eat, and wash up, as well as a lot of cooking stuff we didn't happen to need as we brought our own out of over preparedness/anxiety--and two kettles we did use as a much better option for morning tea than our pot! Also dish soap, hand soap, sponge, oil... and some spare bug spray on the table. The onsite host was friendly and helpful. The composting toilets were nice, private, and pretty well supplied (sawdust, tp, hand sanitizer)--and there were 3, so even if there were more campers onsite, it wouldn't get crowded. We did have a little trouble arriving as we got there after dark--the Hipcamp "get directions" button gave us a wacky back road route, just use the address! And then it took a few minutes of flashlighting around to find where our tent site was...but only a few minutes! Finally, I will note that a neighbor's dog was barking quite a lot til about 10pm. Obviously not a problem the host can do anything about, and not a big problem either, but just wanted to let others know if they're really sensitive to that kind of thing. Otherwise, the only sounds were birds, bugs, breezes, and a distant morning rooster. All told, Seaforest is a really beautiful, pleasant, easy-to-enjoy spot with great access to beaches, the north central part of Olympic National Park (Lake Crescent, Sol Duc, etc), and Port Angeles for supplies, lunch, and in our case, a bookstore visit. A pretty great experience for our first time hipcamping!

Absolutely beautiful spot. I was really just looking for somewhere to sleep while I explored the area, but I really wish I had more time to relax at this campsite. As a solo female traveler I felt so comfortable here. I have already started talking to my friends about making a trip out this way to stay here in the future

Place was beautiful, clean, and serene. Directions there were clear. The outdoor composting toilets were well kept and easy to use. The kitchen we didn't really use but seemed nice and was stocked with plenty of utensils, cooktop, and seasonings. There was a place for firewood with axes available. Spots for tents were clear and comfortable to set up and sleep on. Main reservations were camp sites are pretty close to each other so privacy may be limited, and the nearest water is a small drive away and not within walking distance. But was a lovely place in a beautiful area, and would definitely recommend!

I enjoyed my stay here. Private and quiet campground (other than the neighbor dogs barking and the barred owls at night). The bathrooms were clean and the camp kitchen was a nice bonus feature. Crescent lake is only 15 min away and the coast is also just 10 min away the other way. Great location and great camp host too.

Great stay here. The covered cooking area was helpful, composting toilets nice to have, and the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. We even tested out the shower and it worked well once we got the hang of the system.

I campsite was very clean, but I feel like the pictures didn’t due the difference campsites justice, both sites are the same price but one is a lot bigger than the other, and you can’t even see the difference sites in the picture.

The campsite was great. It was quiet and clean. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it looked like a nice setup. Clean & filtered water for washing and drinking. Looks like they had a propane stovetop and a cute outside pizza oven. There are three bathrooms onsite, which are clean and stocked with wood chips & toilet paper. Instructions getting there were clear.

Family camping trip with amenities!

Spot was perfect! The undercover cooking area made the experience so easy and convenient for camping. You are blanketed under a canvas of trees so even though we got a couple rain showers upon arrival it was not bad at all. The bathrooms were very clean and great to have as a camping amenity as well. My friend and her family rented the other site so it was just our party there. That would have been my only hesitation if you are looking for complete privacy is that someone else would be across from you with the shared cooking areas/bathroom. There was also an onsite host that popped in and out a couple times that I didn’t know about until arriving, but didn’t bother me at all. He was super nice and friendly, as well as considerate of your privacy and making sure you have all you need. The location couldnt be beat. 10-15 minutes away from the experiences we came for. Lake crescent, salt creek & twin beach were our spots we visited.

Peaceful and convenient location

This location was the perfect spot to stay before my backpacking trip in Sol Duc. It's conveniently located about 30 minutes from Port Angeles and about an hour from Sol Duc. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was plentiful for the chilly nights. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to use, and I really enjoyed the books about seaweed that they left in the tent. I also had cell phone reception here and was able to access the internet from my phone which was a helpful bonus. My only downside is that I think it's a bit expensive at about $100 / night - $75 would be perfect considering it's very rustic. I'd still stay here again though.

Our first Hipcamp experience was really positive! The canvas tent was great, we had a big rain dump in the middle of the night and we were nice and dry. Would recommend!

What a quaint retreat with so many amenities. It was perfect coming from Virginia and not needing any equipment. It was a perfect location to so many things to do. I would come back (especially to that super comfy blanket and bed). Best nights sleep in awhile

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful spot! The setting was peaceful and private, with just the right mix of feeling off-the-grid while still having all the comforts of home. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was clean and conveniently located. One helpful tip: skip Google Maps and follow the written directions provided to find the place easily. Once you’re there, it’s smooth sailing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway in nature!

Fantastic stay at Seaforest! Beautifully maintained campsite, particularly loved relaxing in the hammocks. Comfy bed and well stocked kitchen made it an ideal glamping experience. Would definitely visit again.

Mid quality camp site

Our host Maddie was very sweet and the kitchen had good amenities. However, our clothes got soaked because the tent windows were open overnight and there was no directive to close them. Also, the tent had wet paint on it from a recent paint job, and we were covered in turquoise paint the whole time.

I loved the whole property! so quiet and a wonderful getaway for me and my pup. We cooked our meals in the outdoor kitchen, watched the wind move through the trees while lounging on one of their many hammocks, and got to explore Murdock beach nearby! I would definitely stay there again. Abbey was very responsive and answered any questions I had! Thanks so much :)

The space was quiet and relaxing. It was a bit hard to find initially as the sign on the main driveway is small but once you find it! Beautiful.. the tents are large and the beds are so comfy. Murdock Beach is a few minutes away. Just be ready for spiders .... So many spiders .... Which it's in the forest so I guess Should be expected :)

My partner and I went here for his Birthday weekend and it was perfect. This area is 8 min away from crescent beach which is beautiful and has hot showers and laundry. You can walk the beach and see tide pools. Plenty of hikes near by as well and Joyce market which saved us extra drive to the city. Market has pretty much everything you would need if you forgot anything. Saved time on not having to set up a tent or bed that already comes with as well as kitchen supplies to cook your food. We loved our stay and even stayed an extra day. ✨

Great Peninsula Camping

Spacious tent with great, clean amenities and a lovely live-in employee looking after the grounds! The community kitchen came in had plenty of times (even though we only planned for campfire cooking). Bathrooms are close to campsites and are well-maintained. Beautiful environment with a great location!

Directions were spot on so the site is easy to find. The area is clean and comfortable. Water is clean, bathrooms were clean, and luckily, bugs weren’t bad at all. It’s a little loud at night due to surrounding neighbors, but they did provide ear plugs if that bothers you. It was nice to have a comfy bed to go back to after adventuring. Overall, my dog and I had a great time! The location is near Port Angeles (about a 25-30 min drive), and 1-2 hours from most Olympic NP sites. However, there are plenty of other hikes nearby (Lyra was a great spot!). Considering the layout of the peninsula, honestly a pretty ideal spot. I found Port Angeles to be more exciting than Forks, if you’re trying so decide what area to be closer to.

A nice site, in a beautiful berch grove. Close to some great spots. The tents were cozy and spacious, but we were missing some of the amenities listed. The kitchen area could have been a bit cleaner for a glamping experience and the neighboring properties were suprisingly loud. I have mixed feelings about this stay.

Such a wonderful little camp setup - everything you need is on-site. The tent had plenty of space and a comfortable bed and I loved that I had my own personal bonfire setup. It was a perfect home base to explore everything between Cape Flattery and Port Angeles. One consideration (if you’re a light sleeper or are attempting to completely avoid other humans) is that the tents are fairly close to each other, so it was easy to hear others conversing, listening to music, or walking around the site. If that’s a non-issue for you this place is perfect!

Cozy tent site for a weekend away

The campsite is located about half a few hundred feet from a roadway but the traffic is light and it was not a bother. A narrow dirt road leads you to a few tents that are spaced by approximately 50 feet by vegetation, so privacy is fairly high but not absolute. The tents have ample space inside along with a comfortable bed. The kitchen area is a short walk from each campsite and is covered from the rain with several kitchen essentials, but no power outlets. There are 2 axes on site for chopping firewood. Owners look to be building a sauna so I am looking forward to that.
