Dave is an amazing host! The directions to the site were super easy to follow, and the site markings were really clear, so I couldn’t miss it. The camp sites were also pretty far apart, which gave me a lot of privacy. I’ll definitely be back!

Highly recommend! Travis has made a beautiful spot with thoughtful amenities. We spent an afternoon by the river, had campfires in his solo cans, and were able to easily walk to the trailhead to visit bridal veil falls. He was attentive and thorough. Some rain. Some mosquitoes. Just bring what you need. And binoculars as it is truly a bird sanctuary.

We had a great stay! Beautiful, clean site. Very private and quiet. Bathrooms and potable water, the river is a short walk down the road. We will definitely come back.

I was looking for a place that is away from the city, has cell service and also peaceful and private. This spot filled the bill pretty well. Dave was super responsive, answered pre-questions promptly, provided clear directions, maps and the first bundle of firewood. The primary picture kinda threw me off a bit, but make no mistake, the RV spot is great for a small RV or even a tent, it felt secluded and private with more space than the pictures seem to show. I will visit again.

Had a fantastic stay at this Hipcamp! The views of the lake are absolutely stunning, and the trees were teeming with birds—perfect for nature lovers. The site was clean, and Zach was quick to respond to any questions, which made the experience effortless. It was pretty quiet overall with the other campers, with minimal noise from the neighborhood—just the occasional loud car or fireworks, but nothing too disruptive. Definitely a spot I’d visit again! One important note: the ground is gravel over cement, so you can’t stake a tent. If you’re tent camping, plan accordingly.

Great property. View of Clear Lake was very nice to see the Activities. Deck is a great piece for the site but, view from the area around the fire pit was just as good.

3 nights at Dick's Last Resort on the River

Dick's Last River Resort was hands down the nicest, most relaxing and well cared for camp we've gone to. Our girls had a blast and always found things to do. We'll stay at campsite #2 next summer because the steam is slower moving and more shallow to play in. But, we loved the sounds of the big, rushing river, the eagles, sunsets, etc of campsite #1. Richard and Victoria are the nicest hosts!! There are 2 honey buckets and they are the cleanest you'll find. They smell good too! The pea gravel gets raked and they go through the campsite with a blower between guests so you're guaranteed a clean, well maintained spot. I don't want to recommend it (only because I want there to be availability) but it's truly worth the price and drive!!

This place was spectacular! The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The small trails were perfect for our two cats and they felt very safe the whole time. We will absolutely be recommending it to our friends!

This place was perfect! Very big and private campsite and you could even get a view of the mountain. A beautiful river was only a short walk away. The bathrooms were well maintained. Would definitely return!

We had an unbelievable time. It was so quiet, SO clean and so private. We have two scared dogs and they both had a blast. We stayed at site 4, Eagle and it was an absolutely breathtaking view. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you!

The view was beautiful, the directions were perfectly clear and easy to follow. The road is very well maintained. The land is well taken care of while letting it still grow. Can't wait to come back and stay at different spot. We didn't use the bike trails but we walked part of them near the site and definitely gave some extra beautiful views. The site had extra nice quality plastic chairs and hammock hanger, wasn't expecting. The porta potty wasn't the cleanest but understandable considering area, wasn't expecting one in general.

We had the best time!! Camp site #5 was huge and 3 families could hang out there together. We absolutely loved the river access being so accessible. This was our second time and we’d totally go back again!

4 nights at Dick's Last Resort on the River

This was one of the most enjoyable camping trips we’ve ever had! The campsite was secluded, well maintained and had a wonderful fire pit right on the creek. There’s a very large pagoda with lights, power and a nice sized picnic table perfect for meals and board games. There are two full hookups for trailers and a very clean port-a potty. The best part of our entire experience is that we were able to let our dogs run around, play in the creek and just be dogs. They had the time of their lives! Richard and Victoria were fantastic hosts. Very friendly and they made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time. This will definitely be an annual trip for us from now on.

Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing. Pets are welcome, there are outhouses at each campsite. Campfires are allowed (when burn bans are not in place).

All the neighbor's also have acreage, so it feels more spacious that the property lines show.😜 Forest/small farm land with campfire pit close by and available. Local, sandy beaches and docks within walking distance (2miles). RV/camper/trailer site with electric plug in for an additional charge, potable water available for an additional charge, dump stations within 5 miles of property. Must be checked in by 8pm. Check out is 12pm. Pets are allowed as long as they are friendly, and must be leashed as there are other farm animals on property, as well as neighborhood animals. Cats, Chickens and Ducks on property. High-prey drive animals not permitted. Campers must clean up after their pets immediately. Property has 4 site options, so please book accordingly. RV/Trailer site can accommodate a 40+ ft trailer/RV including slide-outs and vehicle. Site is almost level, but longer RVs may need leveling. Terrain is firm, compacted grass and gravel. Tent Site #1 accommodates a grassy site for a Hip-camper to pitch an up to 10 person tent, as well as a 10ft x 20ft designated parking spot on a grassy easement. Campers at this site must provide their own tent and amenities. Madrona Meadow Camp

This secluded meadow has sweeping views, including a stunning shot of Mount Rainier on clear days. Surrounded by forested land including a park preserve, the land is quiet and private. A great place to watch birds, access multiple park trails by foot, or just enjoy being outside in nature. There are old fruit trees on the land that give plentiful fruit (most years) starting in August, and depending on the time of year you'll also find blackberries, huckleberries and salal berries. Additional tent sites are tucked into the trees. Serving all is an outdoor/covered compost toilet tucked into the trees a couple minutes walk from the meadow. There is also a spigot with hose where you can rinse off gear etc. A public swimming hole on Lake Florence is a short drive way, along with beaches. Check back with us in the future as well, because we have big plans for additional amenities.
