Our farm is located in the center of the Yakima Valley in Southeastern Washington State. The physical address is 3510 Scoon Road Sunnyside, Washington. The Valley is known as the fruit bowl of the nation. The site is located on a farm that has been in production on the Roza slope 4 miles north of Sunnyside since 1945. Surrounded by fields of peppermint, Concord grapes, and a variety of crops within walking distance it is a fertile paradise. The Yakima Valley has thousands of acres of wine grapes, hops, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, and vegetables. Wineries are located up and down the Valley and people drive 100s of miles to do wine tours. Several microbreweries are also accessible and within 50 miles to the west you’ll be in premier hiking in the Cascades.

This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane.
The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping.
Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have!
We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings.
Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. Wide open spaces." Please be aware that we do not allow parking on grass without explicit permission which is always handled on site. Vehicles will most likely not be permitted on the grass itself with rare exceptions.

Rural farm camp in Yakima's west valley. This relaxed campsite is bordered by fruit orchards and farms on a very quiet dead end road. Over two acres of field grass surrounding by rolling hills with views of farms, cows, horses, and the eastern foothills of the Cascade mountains.
There is a 1/2 acre pond on the camp property with frogs, turtles, wild birds and wild ducks and geese drop in all the time. Very quiet and peaceful out here, the frogs will sing you to sleep and that's about the only sound you will hear.
There is power and water hooks up at 2 of 3 camp sites. Multiple tent sites , restroom available
Two large and level RV spots are graveled and can accommodate your 5th wheel, diesel pusher, trailer or toy hauler. The third RV/camp spot is grass but also large and level. This grass spot is dry camping but water is available from nearby spigot and a generator is also available for rent at $20/night.
Forgot your wood? No problem, firewood is always available $ 5.00/bundle. There are fire rings at each site for your use (unless burn ban in effect)

If you are into quads, motorcycle riding or 4x4 off-roading this place is perfect. There are forest service roads and trail riding nearby. Jeep and off road groups come from all over the state to ride in the foothills, just 30 minutes away.
Winter time campers are welcome too!
Winter access is easy, county road to entrance of Hipcamp is plowed by county road crews and as host I have tractor 🚜 to plow the camp area prior to your arrival.
Snowmobiles are welcome in winter and you get a reduced nightly rate. Ride and play in the snow around the camp property or drive 20 minutes to foothills with trails and forestry roads open to sleds. Bring the whole group, plenty of room on this property for as many as 20 rigs and trailers.

You may surprised at how loud peace and quiet can be. Whether it's the prehistoric sound of sandhill cranes, a serenade of coyotes, elk talking, hoots of great horned owls or a simple chorus of frogs and crickets; if you enjoy being immersed in the sounds of nature then come and enjoy. "The Refuge" abuts Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge so be sure to bring your binoculars or spotting scope. Elk, sandhills, coyotes and deer are frequent visitors to the property, bear and bobcats occasionally.
If you just can't sit still and relax, we are only 16 miles from BZ Corners and the white water opportunities of the Big White Salmon River, 12 miles from the Leidl boat ramp on the Klickitat River and 16 miles from the town of Trout Lake and all the recreation opportunities to be found in the Gifford Pinchot.
If it wasn't for the view (and it is awesome!), the site would be rather unimpressive. It's level gravel driveway with water, a 50/20 RV hookup and dump that sits between an unoccupied house and large shop that we may occasionally visit. A fire pit is available. Need leeway on party size, check in time or something else...message me and we'll see what we can do.
Reality Check
Exhaust brakes. This is timber country; during the week early morning truck traffic can be expected. Traffic is always very light, but it only takes one exhaust brake at 4:00 am to remind me of the crazy hours loggers work.
Mosquitos. Conboy Lake is really a great big seasonal marsh and the mozzies can be a moderate annoyance at times. As a seasoned camper, I would rate them only slightly above a "run of the mill" nuisance even during peak times .
Let it shine! The hook up site is exposed. Mid August, 4:00 pm, 100 degrees out...you'll want an awning or AC. Consider "The Oaks" under add-ons as an option, or message me to discuss.
Darned hosts. We're your nearest neighbors, about a 1000 yards away, mostly obscured but visible. We're pretty quite, but sounds of life may occasionally drift your way. Sometimes mowing has to done and the dog always barks briefly at UPS or when we come home. If we interrupt your illusion of seclusion it will only be briefly.
No trash service. Pack it in, pack it out. Thanks!

Play in Hood River during the day, relax in the country at night. We're 6.5 miles up in the hills, called High Prairie, above the sleepy town Lyle.
Enjoy the peace on our 5 acre hideaway, wake up with the chickens.
Take a walk to look at Mt. Adams which is just around the corner. Hiking, biking, kite boarding, windsurfing all within a few miles of reach with never ending opportunities to get your exercise. Just ask for tips.
The land has mostly Oak trees where you can take your nap in your hang matt. The place is easy accessible, far away from all but still close to all Gorge attractions during the day. The town has a nice little convenience store, country cafe, Chinese restaurant, and new to our town "Confluence Cafe" right at the entrance by the Klickitat River - Awesome views - yummy treats and coffee. Matt and Ali are super cool, go check it out.
Grocery shopping is best done in Hood River, White Salmon or

We have a small area in our Alpaca pasture designated for campers. We are a short drive (2miles) to down town Hermiston. Our ranch has been here since the 1940's and has decreased in size since its days as a potato farm. The Alpacas are shy but curious. They are not dangerous but do not like dogs 🐕🦺 and other small animals. Greg’s place was fantastic. Directions worked out great. Although, if you’re coming through the Portland area, I’d recommend crossing the Columbia before Hood River, as that bridge is narrow if you’re towing anything!
That being said the location was perfect. The hookups worked great. Greg had a nice covered area to get some shade in. Looks like a second RV spot is in the works but it was to ourselves this time around.
Greg met us shortly after arrival and was really friendly and helpful, but made sure to just let us do our thing. He has a home on the adjacent property with some beautiful horses that seemed to keep to themselves.
The view of Mt Adams was almost unreal. It kept taking me by surprise just how vivid it was. There’s a really well taken care of field for the pups to explore. A nice few trees to lay under with really nice shade for a hot July day. We brought our baseball gloves and just hung outside, ate some nice food and relaxed in nature.
There’s a town nearby with a little market and gas. That’s about it, besides the mud racing track and rodeo. Fine by me! Cell coverage is spotty, so plan accordingly. Starlink works great.
The peace and quiet, stars at night, perfect hookups, friendly host and fantastic view make this another Hipcamp I recommend and look forward to returning to.

The owners were great hosts who took the time to introduce us to their animals and share about their work. We had a lot of laughs.

Greg was wonderful to work with. He was friendly, responsive, and incredibly accommodating with all of our requests, which made our stay even better. We recently spent a weekend camping on the bluff at Jacob Williams Winery and had a great experience. The campsite features a level gravel pad with easy access and absolutely stunning views of the Columbia Gorge.
My biggest recommendation is to pay attention to the weather forecast. We knew it would be windy but assumed we’d be fine. Unfortunately, our teardrop trailer and 40–50 mph gusts weren’t the best combination. Depending on your setup, the wind may not be an issue at all, but it’s something to consider.
There is also a railroad crossing below the bluff, so you’ll hear trains and occasional horn blasts. We actually enjoyed listening to the trains moving through the gorge, and the winery staff was thoughtful enough to provide earplugs for guests.
The staff at Jacob Williams was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Neither the wind nor the trains had anything to do with the excellent hospitality we received, which is why our rating remains high.
We visited several wineries during our stay, and Jacob Williams’ wines were easily our favorite. The charcuterie boards featuring local cherries were a wonderful touch.
While you’re there, don’t miss nearby attractions like Stonehenge, Columbia Hills Historical State Park, and the incredible petroglyphs at Horsethief Lake. The local fruit stands are also worth a stop for some of the best cherries we’ve ever tasted.
Despite the crazy wind, it was a memorable weekend with beautiful views, great wine, and plenty to explore.

Beautiful place. Great view of the open meadows and Mt. Adams. I saw a doe with two fawns. And wildlife in the refuge. I had 3 dogs with me and they loved being able to run around. Lots of little critters in the rocks to sniff out. Definitely want to go back again. Maybe in the fall when the colors start changing.

This is one of my favorite stops on the way between Oregon and Washington!!! 100% recommend. The team at the winery are SO friendly and caring. The wines are great and views are amazing.
There are train tracks below the bluff and the train does run throughout the day and evening. It didn't distract from the peaceful views and beauty for me- and I was able to use sleep sounds for the night so slept fine.
This area does have a lot of wind which I enjoy and helps to cool off the camper- but some maybe bothered by it as you wont be able to use awnings etc.

There's even Allison who is a very friendly goose! The bathroom is a bit of a walk up the hill, but perfectly doable. There are night lights around the property & is a very safe environment.

I loved this place! Wonderful view of Mt Adams. Quiet location. Great place to unwind and enjoy nature, some elk, wild turkeys, snd horses. I would definitely recommend this place.

One of the best hipcamp experiences we've had. It was serene and well kept, and it was great having the fenced side yard for our dogs. Audrey was very friendly and available when we had questions. Highly recommend!
