Welcome to Jacob Williams Winery! 📞 [xxxxxxxx] Winery Hours 11:00am to 6:00pm every day If you'd like to do a tasting please check in no later than 5:00pm, our kitchen closes at 5:30pm. Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge, Jacob Williams is a family-owned boutique winery offering an unforgettable experience. Our wines capture the region’s rich diversity, from vibrant, refreshing whites to bold, captivating reds—each sip a reflection of this stunning landscape. Voted "Best Winery in the Gorge" three years in a row, our winery boasts panoramic views of the Columbia River, rolling vineyards, and majestic Mt. Hood. For outdoor enthusiasts, nearby Avery Park offers fishing and swimming just below the winery, while several hiking and mountain biking trails are only minutes away. 🚐 Hipcamp Guests: We offer four scenic camping spots on the bluff, where you can wake up to stunning sunrises over the river. Please note: Self-contained campers only. Restroom access is not available after hours. No open flames or fires of any kind are permitted due to extreme fire risk in our area. Generators must be turned off by 10:00 PM to ensure a restful experience for all guests. Garbage: Please do not leave trash behind. We ask all guests to pack out what they pack in, as our bins cannot accommodate camper waste. Water; Waste: We are unable to provide water top-offs or waste dumping. These services are available nearby at Horsethief Lake. WiFi Access: Network – jacobwilliamswinery | Password – breadcheesewine 💨 Wind Advisory: Conditions can vary dramatically. During high wind events, you are welcome to move to our tasting room parking lot for a more sheltered stay. 🚆 Train Noise: A train runs below the bluff and may be active overnight. Please be aware and bring ear plugs. 🅿️ Bluff Parking: Rigs and adjoining vehicles must be parked facing south, toward the river. No parallel parking, please—this ensures everyone has space to enjoy the view. 🍷 Enhance Your Stay Join us for a tasting, enjoy a handcrafted charcuterie board or simply relax with a bottle of wine while taking in the view.

We do not assign specific camping sites. Guests are welcome to park wherever they prefer on the bluff, camping is first come first served. Please note that all Hip Camp guests are expected to enjoy a wine tasting, bottle of wine and/or meal at our full-service winery. We offer a variety of tasting choices and delicious food. To ensure you have enough time to savor these offerings, all Hip Camp guests must arrive by 4:00 PM on the day of their stay. Please also be aware that there are no electrical, water, or gas hookups available on site. Campers must be self-contained.

Stunning Columbia Gorge Escape

We recently spent a weekend camping on the bluff at Jacob Williams Winery and had a great experience. The campsite features a level gravel pad with easy access and absolutely stunning views of the Columbia Gorge. My biggest recommendation is to pay attention to the weather forecast. We knew it would be windy but assumed we’d be fine. Unfortunately, our teardrop trailer and 40–50 mph gusts weren’t the best combination. Depending on your setup, the wind may not be an issue at all, but it’s something to consider. There is also a railroad crossing below the bluff, so you’ll hear trains and occasional horn blasts. We actually enjoyed listening to the trains moving through the gorge, and the winery staff was thoughtful enough to provide earplugs for guests. The staff at Jacob Williams was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Neither the wind nor the trains had anything to do with the excellent hospitality we received, which is why our rating remains high. We visited several wineries during our stay, and Jacob Williams’ wines were easily our favorite. The charcuterie boards featuring local cherries were a wonderful touch. While you’re there, don’t miss nearby attractions like Stonehenge, Columbia Hills Historical State Park, and the incredible petroglyphs at Horsethief Lake. The local fruit stands are also worth a stop for some of the best cherries we’ve ever tasted. Despite the crazy wind, it was a memorable weekend with beautiful views, great wine, and plenty to explore.

This is one of my favorite stops on the way between Oregon and Washington!!! 100% recommend. The team at the winery are SO friendly and caring. The wines are great and views are amazing. There are train tracks below the bluff and the train does run throughout the day and evening. It didn't distract from the peaceful views and beauty for me- and I was able to use sleep sounds for the night so slept fine. This area does have a lot of wind which I enjoy and helps to cool off the camper- but some maybe bothered by it as you wont be able to use awnings etc.
