The photos and description of the campsites give the impression that the spots are much more private than they really are. The corral and farm animals didn't bother me...it was all the equipment and trailers and the dirty bathroom (thankfully we brought our own). There was also a generator running all night, both nights. And I'm not sure where the potable water was...
I was hesitant to leave this review, but I rely on the reviews and the honesty of the descriptions to decide where to stay.

Easy last-minute reservation. Chris came by shortly after I arrived to make sure I had everything I needed. Very friendly - and they have a good farm stand available. It was also VERY quiet. I had a beautiful view of Mt. Hood and the stars. Thank you!

It is a lovely campsite on the farm with chickens and pigs. The marketstand offering fresh fruits and veggies was a delightful way to supplement breakfast and dinner. There is a friendly neighborhood dog very excited to meet new friends.
Even though the farm is recovering from a fire, you could hardly tell from the camping itself.

Good place to camp, small farm ran by a nice couple that were helpful & friendly. There is an outhouse on the property too. If you have a long trailer, don't go down the hill towards the rear of the property, most likely your trailer will bottom out going across the dry creek bed, so you'll want to stay in the camping spot up by the road. Everything worked out well, and I would definitely stay here again.

Nice location with room to spread out. Loved the sound of crickets at night and the working farm at the property complete with pigs and produce. Friendly hosts ensured we had everything we needed.

The owners were kind and communicative about a nearby fire that threatened our reservation, which we were thankful for. However, we were disappointed when we arrived at the site after traveling for an hour and half. The site was overgrown and not well maintained, including the port-a-potty. There is a large trench that runs along one side of the site, a pig sty to another, and homesteads with junk surrounding them in another, so there was no redeeming view in any direction. The photos did not at all reflect the state of the site. I hesitate to write negative reviews on any platform, as I understand that people's circumstances vary, but we were hoping to get some time outside in a beautiful setting, and we were deeply disappointed by this experience. The owners did quickly refund us after we communicated that we would not stay there, however, which was appreciated.

Love Chris and Sara’s place. Down to earth easy going. The silent night with a cooling breeze after a hot day is amazing. The night sky through the huge acorn trees are one of a kind.

Exactly as expected! You get your plot, camp out, running water, I felt safe as solo female just hammocking on the site. The folks that checked in on me were very calm and welcoming

This was our first time on hipcamp and we're totally sold! We booked this as a last minute 4th of July trip to get away from the city and we're grateful it worked out. Very peaceful and private. Amazing sunsets, good hammock time, and enjoyed feeding the pigs! Perfect home base for hiking and checking out the nearby towns. Chris and Sarah were very friendly and even held aside a dozen eggs for us on our departure day, as they sell out every morning!

The spot was as described. The hosts were really friendly and gave us a tour of their farm. We even bought some delicious fresh eggs and herbs from their farm stand.

We had a lovely stay at this site and would certainly stay again. We had 11 adults and 8 kids under 7 at this double campsite and it was perfect. Big flat open space for the kids to play and use the kick bikes. Beautiful view of Mount Hood, close access to the mtn biking we did in Hood River. The firepit was a great area for our group to hang around and the trees are wonderful here. It was also nice that there is a spigot of warm (non-potable) water for washing sticky kid hands :)

The camp was great for a large group of folks. It is right off the Gorge so we experienced some very crazy wind all day one of the days we were there. Site was clean, so were the outhouses. Location was great for going wine tasting!

We enjoyed our time at Sarah’s place - it was very easy to find & the views were gorgeous. We didn’t get to meet Chris & Sarah this time but she was quick to respond to messages & we’d love to return. There is some road & train noise but it didn’t really bother us. It was lovely to wake to the sounds of birds chirping & roosters crowing.

Super quiet and beautiful setting. Being close to the road was a non-issue, because there was virtually no traffic. It was a wonderful mix of farmyard vibes and a beautiful nature walk across the road. And although we didn't buy any eggs from their farm stand, I know they were good ones. Those chicken were living their best lives free ranging.

Lovely peaceful farmland with beautiful views :) friendly hosts. Really close to Catherine’s creek which was beautiful for a wildflower walk as well as not too far from the Dalles, and lots of shops nearby if you need any supplies.

The property was just as described, on a working farm, in a beautiful, peaceful location with gorgeous views. We van camped with friends and had easy access to hikes and local wineries. The port-a-potties were very clean and well stocked. Great spot! We’d definitely come back!

Great location between hiking and wineries. The spot worked fine for a quick overnight. Chris was nice and answered questions when I arrived. However site is very close to road with several cars per hour. Site is also located adjacent to a rather large collection rundown vehicles, RVs, and equipment.

Absolutely beautiful location and Mount Hood even came out to see us before we left. We enjoyed exploring the public lands across the street, having fires in the fire pit, and relaxing on the beautiful property. As advertised with bonus pigs as neighbors!

The campsite was under the oaks near a country road that maybe had 4 cars go by during our 2 day stay. The view across the Columbia was beautiful. We walked down across the creek to give the pigs a scritch. This was a nice quiet place to rest.
