Porta johns also available in front of tasting room building, and water hose on East side of building for small amounts of water if needed (not intended to fill camper tanks). *Do note that we are a public business open Thurs-Mon, so there may be some noise and driveway traffic during open hours. Noise ordinance begins at 10pm, so it will wrap up by then at the latest. Though we encourage you to join the fun! Tucked into the woods, the farm is peaceful and private. There are walking paths through the woods and a creek to explore. You are welcome to visit the animals. The farm is about halfway between Richmond and Charlottesville. We are about 15 miles from the James River at Maidens. There is a super hip farmstand (like a mini Whole Foods) and an old fashioned country store 2 miles up the road and a good Mexican place about 15 minutes away. To the east is Montpelier and to the west is Louisa, both have all the modern stores and conveniences along with some country charm. You will park near the trailhead and it is a 2 minute walk down a wooded trail. The cabin is one room with a loft. There is a queen size memory foam bed in the loft (up a ladder) and a small wood stove with a cooktop for chilly nights that will keep you toasty warm. Welcome!
