Susan was quick to respond for confirming the booking. This was my second stay at Peace Hill and I had a wonderful time. I stayed at Site 3 and it is very flat and close to the Lafayette Hall where there are bathrooms with showers and a kitchen. The site faces the owners main house and horse ring. If you want more privacy, pick the sites on the other side of the Lafayette Hall. I loved walking the property and visiting the farm animals!

This was a great place to camp. Looked like it has some good amenities but wasn't able to take part because I arrived late and left early. The campsite was clean, private and peaceful. The host was very informative and had good communication. I'd like to come back again.

Peace Hill is a beautiful working farm which provided plenty of level space to camp. There is plenty of room to load and unload tow vehicles. The generous permission to use the community center kitchen and bath were outstanding perks. For bicycle enthusiasts, its proximity to the Capital Bike Trail Charles City Parking area was a bonus. For tourists, it is close to Jamestown and Williamsburg. I loved watching the exercising of the horses. The friendly waves of those feeding the farm animals made me feel welcome. Susan was very accommodating when I had to leave early due to snow. I will definitely revisit this site when in the area.
FYI: I found it best to put Peace Hill Fellowship in when goggling directions so I wouldn't end up at the Bed & Breakfast.

We don’t use any of the resources of the full fledged resort campgrounds. But Busch Gardens is just a few miles away if that is what you want.
We stayed two extra days to better explore Colonial Williamsburg and the other historical sites - our main goals for this stay.

This was our second time camping at Phantom Hill and it has easily become our absolute favorite place to camp as a family! Kathryn is truly a wonderful host who has thought of everything to make the experience simply phenomenal. We previously stayed at the Hummingbird campsite but this time we decided to try Waterthrush and it was just as lovely! We loved the string lights and hammocks, and it’s so convenient having a grill, chairs and tables all available to use! The forest is so beautiful and we loved walking the trails and my kids especially loved the treasure hunt! It was so cool seeing the mushroom farm too! As if there isn’t enough to do, they even have an Imagination Station where the kiddos can paint rocks and play games! This place is just MAGICAL. ✨
Kathryn is always such an accommodating host! When my husband and I realized we had a hole in our air mattress we brought, I texted Kathryn about renting a mattress pad and she was there in minutes! She goes above and beyond for her guests!
Also highly recommend purchasing the natural soap from the Honor Shop. It smells amazing!!!
If you want a very private camping experience with great perks and beautiful foliage, trust me, this is your spot. We cannot wait to come back!

Truly phenomenal camping spot! This spot was a perfect combination of wild (it felt very private and quiet) and well-appointed (awesome site setup with chairs, hammocks, and other camping amenities). We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves with walks around the property‘s winding trails and delight in all the little things the owner had done to make it unique (don’t miss Mushroom Land!). We also went to the nearby brewery/winery and had a fun evening listening to live music and drinking tasty drinks. We’re already talking about when we can go back! With kids
It was such a beautiful place to stay. There was plenty of room for tents for our grown children and grandkids. But for us, to have a camper to sleep in at our age was a bonus! Ice and water were added in as requested! The kids loved finding treasures on the hike, and we replaced with treasure we brought! It is clean and just a great family friendly experience.

Group trip
We stayed at Waterthrush (all the campsites are named after birds!) with our group of 8 kids ages 2-8 and 6 adults. We were able to fit three 4-6 person tents at the site with a little creativity. It was so nice to have the seating, grill, and hammocks provided. We had four wonderful nights there. There was minor road noise, FYI, but the site is great and private from the other sites and public areas of the property. The composting toilet/outhouse was very clean and pleasant.
Kathryn was very responsive and a truly wonderful host. She was gracious and accommodating with a booking error I made, and she helped save the day when one of our vehicles needed a jump start. The whole property is beautiful. We loved exploring the trails, mushroom operations, and the imagination station. Our kids were in heaven with the trails, creek, and treasure boxes and gnomes to discover. We have already booked a trip for next year!
