1 night at Sunrise by the Pond

We loved our stay at Kevin’s. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing on the pond, walking through the woods of the property, and meeting all the farm animals. We also loved building a fire and drinking our morning coffee while the sun rose over the pond. There is so much to do all in one place! It was great to meet Kevin and hear about the history of the farm. We hope to be back soon!

Loved this campsite, such a pretty view of the lake and great tree cover making the site nice and shady. Really easy to communicate with the owner Charles, even though I was a same day reservation. I'll definitely be back! Kind of rocky entrance to get to the site, just be mindful if you're in a sedan without much clearance.

Second time staying. This time I arrived too late to enjoy the music or drinks. First trip we set up camp. This second trip I was so tired I just parked and slept.

Weekend Trip to Private camp site with water access to Lake Anna, VA

Being on Robert’s land was a great way to spend the weekend. I was sold after reading all of the reviews and am now glad to leave my own. His thoughtful design of the space and the amenities made for the perfect set-up. We truly had everything that we needed. It truly is like being at a campground but without all of the people. We had a chance to walk around the neighborhood and down to the water and the people we encountered were kind. We will definitely be back.

This was an awesome place to camp and get some time on the kayaks. We were just an hour from the home which made it even better for a quick weekend away. Charles was a great host. He was very responsive to questions and communications. He is actively working to make the place even better in the future. We'll definitely be back.

Great property! Very well maintained. Merritt is very hospitable, he cut the grass before we arrived giving us plenty of space to choose from. We caught pickerel, bluegill, and crappie in his lake. Picturesque views all around the lake and rolling hills. We had a great time

We were greeted promptly and taken to our site. He brought the firewood to us. The site was huge so we had plenty of room to spread out and let our dog run free. The kayaks were a definite plus!

Tent was clean, farm land was awesome to explore. Very accommodating giving goat food and telling us what foods donkeys, horses and goats could eat. Canoes and kayaks were easy to put in and fun, fire was great. Grill was clean annd has propane, porta potty was clean. Overall a great experience with a ton of land and things to do.

Slice of country heaven. Felt safe and welcoming. The view of the stars, mist on the pond in the morning, it was completely relaxing. Can't wait to return.

My partner and I stayed on Hearth Hill again and had a nice stay! The tasting room was busy and there was live music, but the campsite was still very quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and well maintained. This is a great place to just get away for a night or two and I’ve stayed here multiple times. Recommended!

We had a great time during our stay, the place is gorgeous and very clean, our dog had a blast! The site was very private and we enjoyed the wine and beer from the tasting room, we’ll come back soon for sure! Sheridan’s attention was awesome and very responsive!

Weekend Trip to Sleigh Hill Farm

We had an amazing time camping over the long weekend, the spot is super private and relaxing, and John was an amazing and attentive host. He even gave us a tour of his property and the future and current sites. The winery next door had some pretty great wines and the owner was very nice. We brought our dogs along and were surprised at how dog friendly the entire place was. Overall we would definitely recommend John and Hollie’s place, and we will definitely be returning as well.

This is our third trip to Kevin’s sunrise by the pond and like always we had a great time just unplugging from our busy lives and getting to simply enjoy nature and all the awesome animals at Kevin’s farm. 10/10 recommend and we’ll be definitely coming back before our big move to Washington state.

We are a family owned and operated vineyard and farm. Home to Southern Revere Cellars - Farm Brewery and Winery! 70 acres of forest and fields with a small pond, 2 funny resident geese, and 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats. There are some fish in the pond, but it is catch and release. Located conveniently between Richmond and Charlottesville only 3 miles off I-64 but feels like the secluded countryside. There are trails around the property to explore as well (please be considerate of other campers if present). You are welcome to visit the playground behind the tasting barn too. Porta john is also available in front of tasting room building, and water hose on East side of building for small amounts of water if needed (not intended to fill camper tanks). *Do note that we are a public business open Thurs-Mon, so there may be some noise and driveway traffic during open hours. Noise ordinance begins at 10pm, so it will wrap up by then at the latest. Though we encourage you to join the fun!
