Unplug and enjoy our piece of farm heaven. Can't beat the views of horses grazing and chickens free ranging! We now have baby goats and ducks as well! Cotton, tobacco, soybeans and peanuts grow in the fields surrounding our property. Take a nice walk through the woods around a pond to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

In the town of Wakefield you’ll find gas stations, dollar stores, a Value food market and if you want (to go) food we have that also. Plus it’s home to The Virginia Diner. You will need to drive on a dirt road and over small roots to access the school bus. Cars are able to access the bus without difficulty. Parking at the front of the bus.

Great location only 15 min off I-95. Far enough away from the city and roads to see the stars at night, close enough for easy access to all modern conveniences. Accessible by a paved road. A path is cut right through the property for ease to find your ideal camping location.
You can park your vehicle off the paved road or on the property itself. There is a creek a few hundred yards into the property that's not crossable by vehicle. A vehicle can pull onto the property via the cutout road but I wouldn’t pull an RV/vehicle with a trailer onto it.

We had a fantastic stay here! The campsite is tucked away in a peaceful clearing in the woods, which made it feel private while still being just a short walk to the lake. My dogs absolutely loved swimming, and we spent hours relaxing by the water. It was a quiet, beautiful spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The host was welcoming, and everything was just as described. We'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside camping getaway.

Great spot - camp site was near a barn on a small farm with many animals to say hi to. The kids (6&9) loved running around and checking out the animals. Review from 9 year old: “this is like a five star campsite!”. Candace was welcoming and accommodating - she guided us in at dark and shared some cookies and juice boxes with the kids on the way out. We would stop here again if in the area.

The Forest Pavillon was a great site with plenty of space for our 3 large tents, 2 privacy tents , and our 2 cars with nice shaded trees. Walking distance to the lake but we drove to the lake site to set up our kayak. Caught 2 large catfish. The whole place is beautiful with the large lake. Wish we had stayed another day but summer tent camping has its challenges. Although we are seasoned campers, we were still ill-prepared for a more comfortable camping experience. It was hot and muggy during the day but cooler at night. Merritt , our host, is nice and friendly and met us when we arrived and oriented us to our site and surrounding areas. We had a fire pit with firewood ready. He was very kind to offer the airstream toilet so my elderly mother can use as needed. Thank you so much.

Christopher (the host) made this very simple and frictionless. I texted him before I got there, he met me at the start of the driveway and showed me the camping spot.
It was quiet and the weather was ideal. I walked around the property and checked out the chickens.
I got coffee at Red Rabbit the next morning.
