One loft bedroom, huge bathroom with a walk in shower and a soaking bathtub, while looking at a gorgeous creek, 20 ft away. A hot tub sits on the rear ground level deck. Kitchen with two coffee makers, microwave, full size refridge stovetop, air fryer, toaster oven and a kettle. This yurt is great for a couple or a couple with a small child, I provide a blowup mattress, twin size with linens.. The yurt faces the creek, and a rock wall on the other side making this property very private except for our cabin on the same property. It is fenced with split rail fencing and has a solar powered gate, with a gate fob provided. We are dog friendly, with a $25 pet fee per stay. This is a safe, beautiful area to visit nearby Floyd, a kayak rental shuttle service, breweries, gorgeous mountain hikes, , and many other unique finds nearby. The Firefly is nestled between trees, on a loud, rushing creek, on a five acre property that is mostly cleared and on a hard surface dead end rd, a few miles from Hillsville, Va. The firefly is comfortable for a small family or a romantic get away for couples. The creek is stocked with trout, with easy access along the creek, perfect for wading, floating, and relaxing to the noise. Firefly has a camp style charcoal grill, a firepit with lots of firewood, a wood pellet stove on the covered deck for grilling when its rainy outside, a wood pellet fireplace for heat, outside shower with hot water, a comfy queen size memory foam bed, fresh linens and towels, and an outside bathtub situated by the creek. it has running water and a composting toilet and there is an unattached bathhouse with a conventional toilet and an outside hot shower as well. The FireFly is pet friendly and please leave $25 on the counter for the pet fee. The Firefly is 6 miles from I-77 and The Blue Ridge Parkway. I keep all paper products, dishes, cookware and pellets for the pellets cooker and for the heater. This experience was exactly as described online! Scott and crew were tremendously helpful and communicative. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. It ended up being a total rain out when we were there but there was a TV and fun games for the entire family to enjoy. My two boys and I stayed in the canvas tent overlooking the river and really enjoyed ourselves. It was great to have a mattress in the tent along with camping chairs and firewood. It made our experience more enjoyable not having to pack as much. The directions to get to the site were easy to follow and David was great at communicating. When I come back, I may consider renting the other two camp sites as well just to secure our privacy since they are in fairly close proximity of each other. We didn’t have anyone else staying in the other two sites when we stayed so it wasn’t an issue but I’m just thinking ahead. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back.

I loved it! The vibe was just what the doctor ordered. The heater took the chill off the bus quickly and once it had my twinkle lights up, I felt right at home. I liked how the place felt tucked away but was easily accessible to the outside world. Loved all the paintings and quotes in the inside of the bus. Recommend bringing enough lighting for what you want your experience to be inside the bus, they provide a nice automated light when you open the bus door to get to the Porto potty, the rest is up to you! The bed is solid and everything was clean and ready for a wonderful night off the grid! Enjoy!

Hippie Hollow is a beautiful camping spot for anyone looking for a chill place to camp without being isolated in the middle of the wilderness. Sly is a fantastic and gracious host with a real passion for the place who made sure we had everything we needed and then some during our stay. He also shared food and was really cool, great company, too. The campsites are set up around a very nice little outdoor kitchen/ bar area, a very nice portable bathroom including heat, running water, and a shower, and a big center fire pit in the middle in front of a nice little stage on the edge of the water. We stayed in the Greendale Trailer plot, which was also right on the water, right near where the ducks like to hang out. The stars are quite visible at night from there, and you can hear the river from inside the trailer. If you love the outdoors and backcountry living but aren't particularly keen on traditional camping, don't want to have to bring all your own amenities, this place is perfect. A haven for true hippies at heart!

Absolutely loved staying here! Will definitely return one day. The site was right on the river and we were able to jump on in with our floats and fish off the bank. John was super helpful during our entire stay. Highly recommend the tent that John provides— it had a full sized memory foam mattress, couch and a ton of space to store all of our camping gear. It was my 9 year old daughter’s first time camping and she didn’t want to leave!

I'm leaving a 5 star because thats what is deserved, but I the little devil on my left shoulder says to leave 1 so it doesnt get too popular!
The creek and surrounding areas are serene. Lots of deer around, especially in the morning! Our dogs loved playing in the water and fetching sticks. It was great to let them roam! We enjoyed cooking and spending time in the yurt.

Absolutely amazing! Had everything we needed and nothing we didnt for some simple primitive camping in a cabin. Fair warning my lil Toyota Corolla did have trouble going up the gravel driveway (entirely my fault, just realized after getting home my tires are almost bald and have no tread/traction) but Darin & Beth were incredibly helpful and were kind enough to assist us and was still able to make it to the cabin 😊 cannot state enough how magical this place is, it was so quiet and peaceful. Thanks Darin & Beth for your kindness and awesome hospitality, cannot wait to go back! 🫶🏼🏕️🔥
