Camper vans are welcome at the main farm!
Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours.
The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries.

Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others.
Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience.
In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house!
We hope you enjoy the cabin (and, soon, the dome) and the stunning view from them as much as we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with you!
Note: The Charming Glamping Cabin is at a totally different property. That property also has a section that used to be farmed. Now a lot of it is forest. We purchased the property around 2000. This cabin was built approx. 10 years later. At that point, the cabin was a tiny economy cabin with a sofa bed. However, it seemed most folks preferred comfort over economy, so in 2020, we added a bump-out to the side of the cabin so there would be room for a queen bed. Guests have loved the improvement. (:

This was a 55-acre farm, split in half to accommodate a bypass through Charlottesville, so the previous owners had to give up half the land, and actually moved the house down to the other half of the property! They had to build a land bridge to get to the new home site, so they turned the bridge into a dam and created a beautiful large swimming pond, complete with beach and gazebo. I purchased this property in 2013 ---my Uncle Abe Kibler and Aunt Lizzie Good Kibler owned and operated a tavern across the road for years and rented river lots to their guests---in time this 265 acre spread was sold and divided to many. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others.
Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience.
In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house!
We hope you enjoy the cabin (and, soon, the dome) and the stunning view from them as much as we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with you!
Note: The Charming Glamping Cabin is at a totally different property. That property also has a section that used to be farmed. Now a lot of it is forest. We purchased the property around 2000. This cabin was built approx. 10 years later. At that point, the cabin was a tiny economy cabin with a sofa bed. However, it seemed most folks preferred comfort over economy, so in 2020, we added a bump-out to the side of the cabin so there would be room for a queen bed. Guests have loved the improvement. (:

Wolftrap Farm was owned by James & Dolley Madison during their time, and they called it Black Meadow. Their home, Montpelier, is just across the mountains you see from the campsite. It passed through the hands of various local farmers during the 19th & 20th centuries, and for many years was a dairy farm. It became primarily a horse farm in the 1970's, when it was owned by the German Von Wulffen family.The Cuthrell family from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area acquired the farm in 2003 and converted it to a resort farm, featuring upscale vacation homes. We really enjoyed camping at Cherokee Yurt! It is a very short drive from Luray caverns, so we would definitely visit them if we came back. The stars were beautiful at night. The yurt had more than enough space and items (even a waffle maker!). The only complaint we had was that the heat was not turned on when we came, despite the owner saying it would be, and when we did turn it on it only got up to about 50 degrees and took many hours. Admittedly, it was a very cold night--about 18 degrees--and for a glamping site with relatively poor insulation, that isn't entirely unexpected. But we would highly recommend that you temper your expectations if you stay in the winter and maybe bring a few heated blankets.

Our honeymoon was made absolutely poetic by waking to a snow covered ground and a gingerly cared for goose egg wrapped in the warm wool of Josie. The map provided was detailed and offered many a good adventure. This campsite's location is great if you need a place to stay near the city. The campsite itself was spacious and relatively quiet. Unfortunately, one of the days was very rainy-- our tent flooded and we found it difficult leaving the muddy driveway. All in all, would use again, as long as, there is no precipitation in the forecast.

Bob was such a wonderful and gracious host. I lost one of my beagles, and he helped me get the word out quickly, online. Thankfully we found her, none the worse for the wear! In fact I think she had a great time. The camp sites are well laid out and I think this would be a great place for a group.

We absolutely loved this property! Beautiful views, very quiet, CLEAN and peaceful there is a gorgeous lake a short walk from camp site 1. Juan has beautiful horses on his property and they are so peaceful to watch. Water and electric hook up worked great, and our class A fit great and site was level. This location is about 1 mile off the main road we easily navigated down the dirt compacted/gravel road no issues. Again extremely quiet, just nature. Just 14 minutes to downtown Culpeper, charming downtown area, lots of shops, and diners. Walmart, Target, Martins, Lidl, and Lowes are just a few more minutes down the road. Can not recommend this camp enough, you will not be disappointed!

Perfect location for a family camping trip. Jen is a fantastic hostess with great communication ahead of time. In addition to camping, we got to help feed the animals both mornings and our kids were thrilled. Theres lots of room for them to run wild without worrying of bothering camping neighbors and the site had everything we needed.
