We currently offer one cottage and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Many of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have three drive-in sites that will accommodate one or two vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers due to our narrow mountain driveway. Camper vans are welcome!
Our farm store includes Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy from the farm as well as produce, jams and mushrooms and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours.
The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon and Old Rag Mountain trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries.

Over the next six years a 2 acre pasture and .8 acre house site were cleared on weekends, a small pond was dug, additional land was cleared and a wildlife planting made, then our home and multiple outbuildings were constructed. We began raising chickens for meat and eggs, as well as rabbits, quail, doves and pigeons, and developed two vegetable and fruit gardens to provide food for ourselves and to sell at farmer's markets. The property is a state certified Wildlife Partners Habitat because of the many improvements made for wildlife. Allen and Peggy were married atop a special rock on the property in 2004.

The Swift Run entrance to Shenandoah National Park is only 15 miles away on Virginia Route 33. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table for your convenience. Hawks and other wildlife can be spotted on the property, including deer - we counted 15 at one time in April. Ducks and geese also call the creek home.
Our camping area is limited to 10 acres of our farm, but you're welcome to canoe on the Shenandoah or Rivanna Rivers. Additionally, there are plenty of nearby hiking trails in Shenandoah National Park or the George Washington National Forest. For a fun day trip, head West to Seneca Rocks. The surrounding farming area of Rockingham County offers plenty of scenic country roads for cycling.
All campers must be self-sufficient with their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they depart.

Seneca Rocks, nRocks, Spruce Knob are within an hour's lovely drive. Monterey VA and the gorgeous Blue Grass Valley are within 30 mins. Dolly Sods, Blackwater Falls, Green Bank Observatory, Canaan Valley are superb day trips.
The Thorn Creek Wildlife Management area, renowned for trout fishing, is 10 mins away. We are on a scenic bicycle / motorcycle route.
Bonus -
The 1800s Ananias Pitsenbarger Farm with its 16 remaining buildings, an historic district on the National Register of Historic Places, is on property - please explore it! It was a self sustaining Appalachian homestead. The Pitsenbargers were hard workers, but also quite colorful characters who employed witch-doctoring, used healing herbs, and enjoyed entertaining, playing music, and making and drinking lots of hard cider. The main road to the Harrisonburg VA area went right by their house and they had a lot of visitors who took a break from their travels and their work to visit, i.e. "loaf." As a result, in the 1800s locals called the property "Loafer's Glory." We think the name is still perfect for the place! Come on out and relax - "loaf" a little bit!
