Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John and a list of dump stations nearby. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival). Eden Oaks is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs (American Viticultural Area). We're next door (3 miles) to Raffaldini and Piccione Vineyards. Take a day trip to Boone, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Airy, Winston-Salem, Charlotte or additional areas of interest. We love it here and would like to share it with you. You'll enter thru a gate (it may be closed, if closed please close behind you as my neighbor sometimes has cows). Go approx 1 mile the road will split...go up the hill on the right. Continue past the Hay barn another half mile. Park on the left side of the gravel road along the tree line. Another 50ft you'll see a wood foot bridge across the creek. The sites are ahead, PawPaw is first, then Bloodroot Base Camp (bell tent), and lastly Cohosh Cove is the most private. Each site has a sign as well When driving, please be respectful of the right of way. Drive slowly and respect the farm equipment. Also please do not venture onto the neighbor’s property other than entry and exit. About the property 20 minutes from Blacksburg and 35 minutes from Roanoke, our campground gives you great access to the “Triple Crown” of the Appalachian trail, consisting of McAfee Knob, Tinker Cliffs, and Dragon’s Tooth. Conquer these iconic peaks of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains for spectacular views of the surrounding wilderness. 101 Acres of forested land in the Draper, Virginia area with scattered clearings that are connected by over 2 miles of cleared roads throughout the property, which are perfect for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. The property includes a very small creek, several ravines, ridge lines and trails to explore. We frequently encounter deer, rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional turkey, black bear, coyotes and Bigfoot. The thing people seem to enjoy most is the privacy and and quiet that allows you to connect with nature. Each of the 3 sites is hundreds of yards away from each other. Note: there is no bathroom on the premises, however you can book a toilet tent as an extra. 4 Wheel Drive or All wheel drive are helpful during the winter months if there has been a lot of rain or snow/ice. Things to watch out for are deer ticks and poison ivy. Campers are expected to leave the site neat and take all their trash with them. We are located about 5 minutes from I-81 or 15 minutes from I-77 making it an easy place to stop when passing through on your way to other adventures. If you are coming on I-81, use exit 89-A. Don't let Google maps take you to Frog Level Ct near the town of Pulaski (LOL). Nearby attractions include Appalachian Gem and Gold Mine on Route 100 (5 min), New River Trail State Park (10 min), Claytor Lake State Park (20 min) and the Town of Draper has a couple small town shops to explore including The Draper Mercantile and Trading Company and the newly opened Conery where you can get wonderful ice cream cones and more. Also, check out the Draper Mountain overlook on Rt 11, just 10 minutes from our HipCamp. We love hosting campers and are happy to help make accommodations to help you have an enjoyable stay. We have 3 sites but only allow 2 to be in use at a time on the property. This insures that all guests continue to feel complete privacy from others and allows us to always have an alternate site available if campers want to change. Available "Extras" include portable toilet setup, Woodshop class making a cutting board, Bigfoot sitings as well as various camping gear items and games. Our sites’ altitudes range from 3100 feet to over 3600 feet, which is a lot of slope and hillside to say the least. As a guest you will be offered insane long views and limited exposure to the oldest registered breed of bovine in the world. Our Scottish Highland Cattle are majestic and fit in quite well in the NC mountainside. Located in the Blue Ridge mountains, we have natural water springs popping out, some of which are tapped to drink from. (10.1.23 currently farm springs are not accessible to guests, shatley springs up the road approx 4miles north has a public spring that we highly recommend) If you are looking for a camping spot that is only 5-10 minutes from town (Jefferson NC or the quaint Downtown West Jefferson) but feels like you're in the middle of no where, then we have it! The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 20 minutes away and the New River equally close. Looking Forward: July update. We are currently working on provided an all downhill mountain bike trail from 3600 to 3150ft. This path will be double wide for the most part and wide open at first to soak in the se view. The top of our ridge called "soil road" used to be the main traveling path back in the settler days. The house at the bottom of our driveway used to be the towns post office, and there is a cave back on the creek where soldiers during the civil war camped out in. We are a working farm during the day so if you choose to walk down the ridge you'll find outside working with the animals or in the flower or produce garden. There is a lot of great fishing in the creek so make sure to bring your rod! We love pets so yours are welcome, and there are a lot of hiking trails and cute towns around us. Learn more about this land: A quiet very private experience on a farm with 180 Blue Ridge Mountain views on top of the ridge or walk down our trail to camp and trout fish on Rock Castle Creek. With clear stars, fireflies everywhere, and a cozy fire, what more could you ask for? Our whole 54 acres is yours to explore during the day to swim in the creek, see our farm animals or take a quick drive to the many surrounding lakes, hiking trails and local towns. Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John and a list of dump stations nearby. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Continue past the Hay barn another half mile. Park on the left side of the gravel road along the tree line. Another 50ft you'll see a wood foot bridge across the creek. The sites are ahead, PawPaw is first, then Bloodroot Base Camp (bell tent), and lastly Cohosh Cove is the most private. Each site has a sign as well When driving, please be respectful of the right of way. Drive slowly and respect the farm equipment. Also please do not venture onto the neighbor’s property other than entry and exit. About the property 20 minutes from Blacksburg and 35 minutes from Roanoke, our campground gives you great access to the “Triple Crown” of the Appalachian trail, consisting of McAfee Knob, Tinker Cliffs, and Dragon’s Tooth. Conquer these iconic peaks of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains for spectacular views of the surrounding wilderness. Additionally, explore Falls Ridge Nature preserve, Cascades waterfall, and Carvin’s Cove for hiking, kayaking and mountain biking.  Or just stay on the campground and enjoy the hiking and swimming we offer here.  Nearby in Blacksburg take advantage of the local breweries or Virginia Tech football home games. 101 Acres of forested land in the Draper, Virginia area with scattered clearings that are connected by over 2 miles of cleared roads throughout the property, which are perfect for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. The property includes a very small creek, several ravines, ridge lines and trails to explore. We frequently encounter deer, rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional turkey, black bear, coyotes and Bigfoot. The thing people seem to enjoy most is the privacy and and quiet that allows you to connect with nature. Each of the 3 sites is hundreds of yards away from each other. Note: there is no bathroom on the premises, however you can book a toilet tent as an extra. 4 Wheel Drive or All wheel drive are helpful during the winter months if there has been a lot of rain or snow/ice. Things to watch out for are deer ticks and poison ivy. Campers are expected to leave the site neat and take all their trash with them. We are located about 5 minutes from I-81 or 15 minutes from I-77 making it an easy place to stop when passing through on your way to other adventures. If you are coming on I-81, use exit 89-A. Don't let Google maps take you to Frog Level Ct near the town of Pulaski (LOL). Nearby attractions include Appalachian Gem and Gold Mine on Route 100 (5 min), New River Trail State Park (10 min), Claytor Lake State Park (20 min) and the Town of Draper has a couple small town shops to explore including The Draper Mercantile and Trading Company and the newly opened Conery where you can get wonderful ice cream cones and more. Also, check out the Draper Mountain overlook on Rt 11, just 10 minutes from our HipCamp. We love hosting campers and are happy to help make accommodations to help you have an enjoyable stay. We have 3 sites but only allow 2 to be in use at a time on the property. This insures that all guests continue to feel complete privacy from others and allows us to always have an alternate site available if campers want to change. Available "Extras" include portable toilet setup, Woodshop class making a cutting board, Bigfoot sitings as well as various camping gear items and games. Our sites’ altitudes range from 3100 feet to over 3600 feet, which is a lot of slope and hillside to say the least. As a guest you will be offered insane long views and limited exposure to the oldest registered breed of bovine in the world. Our Scottish Highland Cattle are majestic and fit in quite well in the NC mountainside. Located in the Blue Ridge mountains, we have natural water springs popping out, some of which are tapped to drink from. (10.1.23 currently farm springs are not accessible to guests, shatley springs up the road approx 4miles north has a public spring that we highly recommend) If you are looking for a camping spot that is only 5-10 minutes from town (Jefferson NC or the quaint Downtown West Jefferson) but feels like you're in the middle of no where, then we have it! The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 20 minutes away and the New River equally close. Looking Forward: July update. We are currently working on provided an all downhill mountain bike trail from 3600 to 3150ft. This path will be double wide for the most part and wide open at first to soak in the se view. We bought a farm and started learning about farming in 2020 after a good friend of ours passed away from cancer and we started talking through what it would look like to try something we've always wanted to try. We knew nothing about it previously so welcome to our adventure! There are a lot of camping spots on our property and you can choose anywhere you'd like. The top of our ridge called "soil road" used to be the main traveling path back in the settler days. The house at the bottom of our driveway used to be the towns post office, and there is a cave back on the creek where soldiers during the civil war camped out in. We are a working farm during the day so if you choose to walk down the ridge you'll find outside working with the animals or in the flower or produce garden. There is a lot of great fishing in the creek so make sure to bring your rod! We love pets so yours are welcome, and there are a lot of hiking trails and cute towns around us. Weekend Trip to 100 Acre Wood
Our trip back home from GA to WV had a lot of traffic delays and the weather was turning much colder than expected, so we decided to power through and drive straight home. But since this was right on the way home, we decided to stop and check out the site. It's a beautiful spot with trees on three sides, so there's less wind. The site is primitive but well maintained with two nice picnic benches and a good fire pit. Communication was great. We will be back!

Had a great experience, not far away from West Jefferson or Gratsin Highlands State Park (Virginia). Host was personable and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here. Also has a cabin coming soon on the same property as the camper site. The neighborhood cows were respectful of the morning and didn't start talking until they saw people.

Had a quick 1 night stay, last minute trip. Had a quick response to accept our reservation. Site 4 was perfect, easy to access, power and water on site. Great for our Sylvan GO popup. Roy greeted us on arrival and showed us around. He brought a nice size stack of firewood. He also borrowed us a 30A -> 110 adapter so we could plug an extension cord in. We enjoyed the visit in the morning from the donkey and cows. Beautiful property, great hosts, we'll stop back next year.

Perfect spot to get away for the weekend. Private area but you can hear the campers at the other spots. You can hear the barking working dogs at night and the train but that wasn’t a big deal for us. Easy access to filter your water, plenty of firewood provide it which was nice since we stayed on a cold weekend. Plenty of hikes within a 30 min drive!

My husband and i visited Oasis at Harmon Creek Farm from November 7-11th and had the best time doing nothing but relaxing by a fire most of the time. We needed LOTS of firewood not only because we like a campfire but the nights were pretty chilly. The whole farm is just beautiful, I loved waking up early and visiting the cows and donkeys in the pasture across from our site. The creek is just peaceful to look at and to listen to and watching the colorful leaves falling from the trees was mesmerizing. Cheryl and her family were so kind and accommodating and anytime we needed wood, they were always willing to get it to us. The entire family was welcoming and enjoyable to talk to. This place truly is a gem and we will be going back as soon as it warms up a little.

Campsites are full hookups which include water, sewer and 50 amp electric. Both sites can accommodate any size RV. They are gravel and level which makes getting set up easy. A 30 x 30 shelter with concrete floor, lights, picnic tables and trash bin is nearby, which is a great asset in any weather. A fire pit and chairs are a nice addition for evening enjoyment. Firewood is provided. WiFi is available. The area is pet friendly. Pets can be off leash, however, you might consider leashing your pet, as wildlife is frequently seen. If your furry friend is anything like our dogs, the chase is on when a deer, squirrel or turkey makes a sudden appearance! During your stay, take a 7/10 mile walk down to the New River. Pull up one of the chairs on the small covered deck overlooking the river, sit back and take in the sounds of the calming waters. Watch floaters, kayakers and canoe navigators pass by or enjoy your own floating, fishing and swimming. On the other side of the river is part of the New River State Park. A 15 minute drive will take you to downtown West Jefferson for restaurants and shopping. We have traced this farm's history back to the 1750's when a mill was built on Reed Creek. There is a log home that we know that was built in 1840 still on the premises. The white farm house across from the camp sites was built in 1877. The fish hatchery that is still in operation today was built by the Federal Government in 1923. Learn more about this land: Camp site situated along 3 separate creeks connected by one large private 11 acre field. Tate Run/ Reed Creek/ Venrick Run. The farm house is across the road and the whole property comprises of 88 acres of woods and pasature. The farm house was built in 1877 and the Ranch currently operates with 30 head of cattle and a working trout hatchery. Welcome to Bears Playground, a Wilderness Retreat! Named after the playful bears that once frequented this field on my 80-acre farm, this site offers a unique natural experience. The camping site is in its own 3 acre field surrounded by autumn olive trees where the birds sing and talk to each other. The night sky boasts of beautiful stars and the morning sky boasts a wonderful sunrise. Alongside running a small dairy goat farm, I care for 2 donkeys, 20 goats, and a few chickens. Whether you visit the barn to see the animals up close or encounter them roaming freely around the farm, a warm welcome awaits you at Bears Playground. The site is within 15 minutes of FloydFest, a music festival in July that hosts over 50 famous bands and over 30,000 people.

Family farm... love our camp site... put your toes in the sand... gaze at the mountains... relax by the babbling stream... watch the horses and cows graze... Learn more about this land: Be lulled to sleep by the peaceful river under the stars of a beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain view. We love the island feeling it has with a little log waterfall and a lot of natural sand between our toes. We can provide new queen air mattress for A frame, up to 4 hammocks, or feel free to bring your own, a tent, a small camper, etc. The road in is relatively flat, but is natural ground. A primitive outhouse is on site as well as a gas grill and firewood. Dogs are welcome if picked up after. We have a quiet generator available for rent.
