We had an amazing time Camping at Kirk’s Corner! The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating and made the trip to the site incredibly easy. It is a beautiful spot nestled on top of a beautiful mountain and offered amazing views of the surrounding areas. I would highly recommend a visit!

Very peaceful spot nestled deep in Rural Retreat. Had positive interactions with the both the host and guy that showed me to my site. Some reviews mentioned that you need a 4x4 to access the site, but I was fine with AWD. The property was quiet and had nice views. Would recommend downloading an offline map of the area in case you don’t have cell service like I didn’t. Overall recommend to future guests :)

This place was awesome. Rugged and very private. some tight squeezes getting up to the campsite which was just what we were looking for. Great views. Hosts were extremely helpful and took us right to where we needed to go (it is hidden!)

A lot of space and multiple different camp sites depending on what you are looking for. Steve was awesome and very helpful showing us around upon arrival. Spent one night at kirks for the best view and one night at salamander springs for great hammock spots.

This is a great spot if you're looking for an overland location. The trails can be somewhat tricky to get to at this time due to the hurricane. This may be cleaned up by the time you're reading this. The location is remote and peaceful great place for the dogs to run free plenty of firewood laying around and they are fantastic host.

Loved the private setting and the feeling of being totally in the woods. The hosts were so helpful and friendly even as they were dealing with the aftermath clean up of the hurricane! Would come.here again!

I'm always on the lookout for a secluded campsite to take my dogs and just relax. This campsite checked all the boxes. We crossed a few creeks to get to the campsite and it was a nice open lot with some trails leading up the mountain if you're feeling adventurous. The host was extremely friendly and greeted all of our dogs, which they appreciated. It was nice falling asleep to a near owl and a painted sky. I can only imagine how much fun you would have if you stayed a few days.

Kirks Corner is a great site. I would recommend for a ground tent with an amazing view and fire ring. 4WD is a must to get to this site. Unfortunately it was a little too small for our setup (roof top tent on a truck). However, Steven was totally accommodating offering us any location on the property. So glad he did. We set up in an amazing location that allowed us to see right through the valley and had a front seat to the most amazing Firefly show on earth!! This location is enchanting and I would recommend to anyone (with 4wd)!!

Best place to camp! We had total privacy the entire time and had free run of the land! Lots of trails to ride on but highly recommend driving 4x4 either way with multiple creek crossings to get to the campsites. Lots of firewood and places to set up camps. Never once had to have our 4 dogs on a leash. Apple Maps did cut off once we got a mile from the property but look for the red cattle gates and you’re there!

We loved this campsite! We got about half way up the mountain in a chevy impala, so it’s a great place for anyone trying to get out in the woods for a couple nights.

Huge and beautiful

This place was huge and super remote. Tons of space, there weren’t any other campers but if there were there’s so many areas you could definitely be very private. The sites are very primitive so if that’s your thing you’ll love it. Steve greeted me and showed me around and was such a nice guy! I had no phone signal and he showed me where to go on the property to get enough bars to make a call if I needed too.

If you want to escape to the wilderness and have peace and quiet, you’ve found it! Andrew has a beautiful place to get away! We were about a mile back on the property…it was perfect for star gazing! There’s a couple of streams on the property and many places to hike on site. He has several sites set up with a fire pit.. some near the open area and more as you drive up the hill. We’re already planning a trip back before it gets to cold to camp! If you get a chance to stay with Andrew take it, you won’t regret it.

Blue Ridge Berries Forest Camp
Gorgeous property to go MIA, as well as to hike, rockhound, explore, and even some jeep worthy trails! Super dark skies at night which is perfect for the meteor showers. Andrew and family are very hospitable and accommodating. I will definitely return! 5 star
