2 nights at FoxDen by Heartwood Farm and Cabins

Really nice place. The cabin is small but worked fine for 3 guys sleeping with a little rearrangement. Good location for a lot of stuff to do. We ended up tubing on the New River and that was a great time.

1 night at Adventure Cabin in Blue Ridge Mtns

We loved staying at the adventure cabin! We had a lovely time relaxing in the hot tub and laying in the hammocks. We had 2 children with us and they slept well on the pullout, but we also think it’s the perfect get-away cabin for a couple. Fancy Gap is a cute town and we would be happy coming through this way again sometime!

This special cottage is such a magical, whimsical, cozy place with so many thoughtful touches and so many cool things to discover. Lori's thought of everything and is so kind and responsive.... me and my little dog had such a wonderful, relaxing weekend here.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was looking for a roof over my head for rainy days on a camping trip. The cabin is great. I hope to come back and spend a couple days. Tanja was a great host. She gave detailed directions to find it. Beware of challenging road to get there, but I was able to get there in a midsize even without 4WD. Highly recommend!

This spot was lovely to say the least. It’s in a quiet tucked away spot, I felt like I had enough privacy but took comfort in knowing the hosts live close by on the property in case of emergency. They provided some water, firewood optional, a camping stove, lanterns and a few other small items that made a difference. My dog and I loved the pond that was just a short walk from the site. The dog who lives on the property was my dog’s little pal for the time we were there. Everything was clean by camping standards. I got to truly relax here and it felt safe. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind in a very aesthetically pleasing setting. I would love to visit again sometime!

This cabin is adorable! Super secluded and great location for anyone looking for an off grid stay. We hiked pilot mountain which is only 20 min away and a beautiful hike. And it’s dog friendly! We will definitely be back.

Floyd ecocabin is perfect! The landscape is peaceful and serene with wildlife and foliage everywhere. It is also equipped with a kitchen so I was able to cook when I didn't want to eat out. Floyd,VA is a great music and artistic town and the Ecovillage is really close to everything. Sure beats a hotel for sure!

Weekend Trip to Marshall Creek Farm

Excellent place! It was really a perfect spot. The cabin is simply adorable. We spent two days hiking at hanging rock and slept the night at the cabin. Everything was perfect-the cabin, the bed, the fire pit, the shower, the port-a potty. Easy to find, excellent directions and easy to access the cabin with code.

Emma and Johnathan were so kind and welcoming they offered me coffee, allowed me to explore their garden and listen to the frog song by the pond. Their place is truly magical. The cabin was the perfect place to rest, reflect, meditate and write a little. Truly restorative. It was just what my spirit needed. I hope to stay again.

What a lovely retreat! A comfy & cozy stay tucked in the woods, surrounded by ferns and trees. Silas the canine camp host was a highlight…he played so respectfully with our old dog, we were shocked to see her running around with him and playing “tag!” The pond was great, and we look forward to coming back and exploring the trails! Our campsite was an easy walk to the pond and gathering areas, yet still felt completely private. FYI, the path down to the cabin is a little steep if you need to be mindful of how heavy your cooler is when you pack it. We highly recommend the fox den!

Spring Side Cabin: The goal of our cabin is to give guests an up-close view of life on a farm :). The cabin is on the edge of our active family farm, and directly beside the dairy goat barn. We have a small herd of miniature goats you are welcome to visit with - chances are, they'll reach their heads over the fence for a pet :). Our livestock dog lives with the goats, and you will hear her bark. (We provide ear plugs in case of night time barking). The goats love visitors, so please let us know if you want to take part in the farming, or just give treats :). We are also happy to have our guests take part in some of the farm activities. Bring your sense of adventure, but please do not book if you will be bothered by goat sounds, a dog barking or rooster crowing! We want you to be happy wherever you stay! The cabin has a driveway to the front door and is accessible by 3 stairs onto the porch. It's perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring and listening to the quiet sounds of the country. We have found that our guests are interested in having some local amenities available upon check-in. We love to make our guests comfortable, so have put together a variety of packages for you to select from upon confirmation of reservation. (If you'd like to see the packages ahead of time, please just send us a message here). There is NO SMOKING on the property, inside or outside. On the main level of the cabin, you will find a kitchenette (compact oven, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator and sink), dining/living area, the bedroom and bathroom. There is also a loft with an additional full size bed, accessed by a sturdy ladder. Please note that the cabin is on the edge of the woods, and you may encounter wildlife while here :).
