Healing Springs is a special place. It was discovered in 1884 and was originally called Thompson's Bromine and Arsenic Springs. In later years, the property became known as Healing Springs Resort, and is now simply called The Cabins at Healing Springs. The natural spring is purported to have mystical healing abilities and rumored to have cured everything from poison ivy to rheumatism, indigestion to ulcers. Come, try the water from Healing Springs!

Glamping Cabin - Tree Top has a live tree in the center of the octagon shaped cabin. Tucked up high on the hillside with a flight of stairs to the secluded entry deck that looks out into the woods and a charcoal BBQ for your use.This cabin is furnished with a plush memory foam mattress on a platform bed. We provide sheets, pillows, blankets and bath towels for this cabin.  The cabin has doesn't have electricity or an ensuite bathroom for a a true "glamping" experience. It does have air conditioning via an external power source and propane heat for the colder months. You have access to a bathhouse located a short distance from the cabin. The bathhouse has a shower, flush toilet and a sink. We are close to Grayson Highlands State Park, Mount Rogers, Stone Mountain and Doughton Park, all offering great hiking! The nearby New River offers canoeing, kayaking, tubing and fishing. Visit the quaint town of West Jefferson for shops, art galleries and restaurants.  Most Saturday nights require a 2 night minimum stay. Check with us if you are looking to stay just 1 night on a weekend as we can sometimes accommodate that request. Major holidays have a 3 night minimum stay.

Barn Loft at Healing Springs

Our Barn Loft is for the more adventuresome traveler! This is an actual Loft in a building that used to be a Barn and the entire building has been re-purposed into a combination of lodging spaces and Guest Check in/Farm Store space. This is a unique space in that the kitchen and bathroom are downstairs, and you have 2 bedrooms upstairs along with a living area. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the space and each bedroom has a plush memory foam full size bed. The living area is in the center with cozy furniture, a daybed and views of the surrounding trees. Downstairs you have a full kitchen with a small stove/oven, refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave along with pots & pans, plates and silverware that you can use to prepare simple meals. Please note that the Loft has a separate entrance but is attached to the same building as our Guest Check-in / Farm Store. You do not share any communal walls with any other guest units for your privacy. Healing Springs is a special place. Discovered in 1884 and originally called Thompson's Bromine and Arsenic Springs. Today, our cabins are all equipped with a water pitcher so you can enjoy the fresh spring water in your cabin any time during your stay. Most Saturday nights require a 2 night stay. All major holidays require a 3 night minimum stay. Ask us about 1 nights stay on weekends as we can  sometimes accommodate :) We check guests in between 4pm and 8pm, but can make arrangements for late check ins. Early check ins can sometimes be accommodated, just ask us :) Check out is by 11am.

Tree House Cabin at Healing Springs

Our Tree House is a camping cabin perched upon locust tree poles. This rustic retreat was built with reclaimed lumber from an local homestead that was over 100 years old! It has a plush Queen size bed and comes complete with sheets, pillows, blankets and bath towels.  The Tree House Cabin doesn't have electricity or an ensuite bathroom for a true "glamping" experience. It does have air conditioning and propane heat for the colder months. You have access to a  bathhouse located nearby that features a sink, shower, and flush toilet.  There is a charcoal BBQ and Adirondack chairs set at the base of the stairs for you to enjoy. To access the Tree House, you have to walk up a path in the woods, and then up a flight of stairs. Parking is a short distance away. Most Saturday nights require a 2 night minimum stay. Check with us if you are looking to stay just 1 night on a weekend as we can sometimes accommodate that request. Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day have a 3 night minimum stay.

Acorn

Acorn is a cozy one bedroom with a plush Queen size bed. The large bathroom has a large clawfoot "slipper" tub. Acorn also features has a small, but full kitchen, cable TV and WiFi. This cabin can be dog friendly for an additional fee. This is a duplex cabin with Squirrel cabin, but there is a sound barrier wall between them. This cabin has a small cleaning fee $18 with the expectation that you will leave the cabin as you found it.

Bird's Nest

Access to Chickadee requires a walk up a hill (10 paces) with 3 steps to the front porch. An interesting fact about this cabin - the coat rack is made with part of the crates that were used to carry the bottles of water from the Healing Spring in between 1889 and 1898.
