The village of Chelsea hosts a weekly summer farmers market May-September on Fridays from 3-6pm (mid-May through September). In downtown Chelsea there is gas station (110 Quickstop), two town commons, a small library, and a general store (Will's Store), and a farm stand (Chicken Wiggle Farm). Within 20-45 minutes of our farm you can reach the larger towns of Montpelier (state capital), South Royalton, Randolph, Woodstock, White River Junction, and the Upper Valley Region (Dartmouth College), all of which offer a wide variety of attractions and services. Upon your arrival, you will be given a welcome packet with more detailed information about our area, and we'll be happy to provide you with any other tips you're looking for. Come camp on the shores of the Missisquoi River. Beautiful views of Jay Peak and Enosburg Mountain. Our campsite is set in a grove at the end of a meadow. Adjacent to the Missisquoi Recreation Trail, our site offers easy access to scenic biking and hiking, stretching 10 miles north to the Canadian border and 20 miles west to St.Albans, a great town on Lake Champlain. Due to our location on the river, you will undoubtedly see beavers, geese, ducks, blue heron and other waterfowl. If you're lucky, you might spy the family of river otters, a deer, turtles, and wild turkeys. The Enosburg Golf Course is 5 minutes away. Jay Peak Resort and Smugglers Notch are both about a 35 minute drive. Lots of mountains to climb and trails to hike within minutes. There are several local swimming holes nearby. Former Dairy Farm but, the milking and hay barns burned many years Past. Harold's View Farm now camping. There are 4 entrances to the 80 acres of hay fields, now camping sites. Three entrances are for two sites each, the house entrance is for any questions. Please stop in if you have questions. The fields have been maintained to some degree until 2019 when Lee came up with the idea of primitive camping. The land turns out to be ideal because each site makes you feel like the only campers there. I loved my little snowy weekend here! The heated hive was lovely and warm, and Sandy was so kind. Her land is so very pretty, and I can't wait to see it in bloom again soon! Weekend Trip to Woodbury Meadows

Jon was most accommodating and a wealth of local information. He loaned us an electric heater for our camper so we didn't have to use the noisy one installed. The driveway was a bit daunting for backing up but we did it without too much effort. There's a great hike with waterfalls on the property and a cute cafe close by with good food and live music. The bathrooms were the cleanest and nicest I have seen camping! We will definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Rooted Acres Farm

We had such a lovely stay here! The host was incredibly responsive to all our questions, and the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It came with a portable heater inside that kept us warm at night (just remember to turn on the gas outside first!). Without proper winter clothing, it might be a bit chilly to stay here during the colder months, but we went toward the end of October and it was still perfect! And the hot tub!! Such a clever and wonderful addition! Just a heads up: you’ll need to build a strong fire to get it hot within about 3 hours, and you’ll likely want to make two fires - one for the tub and another to sit back and enjoy. Be sure to bring lanterns, as it gets dark pretty quickly once the sun sets. Even though we had cloudy skies, we could tell that on a clear night the stargazing would be incredible. The cabin is well-equipped with dishes and running water for light cooking, brushing teeth, etc. There’s also a small convenience store about 8 minutes away on the main road. Overall, we would highly recommend this place. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning!

Weekend Trip to Burke Backyard Bell Tent

I enjoyed my stay at the Burke Backyard Bell Tent! I met Deste briefly and she was friendly. The town of East Burke is only a few minutes away and there was super easy access to lots of incredible mountain biking. While you have to walk from the driveway past the house to get to the tent, once you are there it feels pretty private and spacious. It was clean and there were some cute solar lights. The only thing I would improve is the bathroom situation, which is a pretty simple Boxio set up which I didn't find the most comfortable.

It is in the middle of nowhere but pretty easy to find off the main road. Dog friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Weekend Trip to Burke Backyard Bell Tent

It was a really nice place to discover in the beautiful little town of Burke. We've been there in the middle of a bikepacking trip and the place was perfect. A big wooden base with a huge bell tent on it. We really appreciated the jug of water and the composting toilet, plus a table with two chairs. The place was so quiet, in a huge backyard in a field, surrounding by woods. There's a fireplace with chairs also and the wood is included. I would recommend this place for everyone who want to stay in Burke and have an amazing stay !

Weekend Trip to Harold's View Farm

We loved our stay in the Cabin at Louella’s place. It was peaceful, had a lovely view of the mountains, and everything we needed for a rustic weekend stay. The bed was comfortable with plenty of warm blankets available. We brought sleeping bags and a small propane heater that kept us warm enough. We hope to visit again in the future and would recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a cozy stay.

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Glamping

Betsy was wonderful! We got a little lost getting there and it was getting dark, but she came right over to our campsite when we arrived to welcome us and deliver the wood we bought. I highly recommend buying some wood because she even brings kindling, newspaper & a fire starter in order to make a lovely campfire under the stars! I highly recommend Betsey’s place!
