We live on 52 wooded acres in a natural area surrounded by lakes and ponds just 14 miles north of Montpelier VT. We are located on the Green Mountain Gravel Growler bike packing trail and 7 miles south of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. We have lots of hiking , biking, boating and swimming opportunities nearby. Our amenitys include a bath house and laundry. We have two 30 amp RV sites with full hook ups and 4 tent/small RV non electric sites. We are 100% solar powered and have good WIFI but no cell service. We cater to small quiet groups who can enjoy our peaceful setting. If your are bike packing and our sites are booked just text or stop in we will accommodate you.
The campground is located along our town road and the sites are 50 - 100 feet apart along our driveway. This is not a wilderness experience you will have neighbors, including us. We have a pond with a couple canoes for paddling and a .5 mile long nature trail along a stream on the premises.
We are a family friendly, non smoking campground. We are open early May till late October. Pets on leashes are OK. Quiet time is all the time :~). 12 and under free, no Generators.

A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators.

We live on 6 acres of woods and hay fields. Larry used to hay the fields, now the local dairy farmer is haying the fields. This property was a fallow dairy farm called the Common View Farm when we bought it in 2007. We hear the name came from the fact that we can see the Craftsbury Common from the height of the property. Legend holds that people have seen strange lights and orbs in the area. It may just be a yarn told by the locals to the new flatlanders. I have never noticed anything of the sort and I have been looking. Who doesn't like a good New England ghost story?
There are 20 acres of hay fields, 6 acres are woods. We have one old goat, Brownie, and our dog, Tinker, who runs the land and loves dog friends as well as humans.
Our views are of the Lowell Mountains closest and the Green Mountains in the distance. You can see the Lowell wind farm on the horizon. We have a large garden and raspberry patch.
The house closest to the forest path to the camp no longer belongs to us rather neighbors who value their privacy. To be good neighbors we ask our guests to stay within the bounds of the property. It is from the beginning of the path and the 6 acres of woods where the camp is located. You know when you've reachd the edge of our property where the path ends and where you see a sign notifying property boundary edge.

The Northwoods Gypsy Wagon is a 3-minute walk into the woods
from the parking area.
You can have all the solitude you'd like or visit the nearby towns.
In this off-grid wagon, you will have an indoor cooking stove (2 burner propane) and a propane stove for the cooler nights but no running water, therefore no indoor plumbing.
Fresh water, battery operated lights, solar panel which provides one lamp and a place to plug in your phone, coffee/tea set ups. Wi-Fi/cell cov is not available.
There is a
privy exclusively for the wagon and a place for a cold-water wash up.

The SiloSide barn and homestead is better known around town as the "Old Somers Farm" in reference to the day when the barn housed 60 head of cows. The farm was a part of the Cabot Creamery Cooperative, and closed this era in the late 1980s. Prior to being a dairy farm consisting of over 500 acres, the property served as a tavern, inn, tannery, and has always been a traditional, well-loved farmhouse. Our farmhouse was built in 1785, and the barn built around the 1830s and expanded in 1941. The soil here is rich, and the forest full of wildlife. We've named our home "SiloSide" as tribute to the magic we feel on the non-road facing, silo-side of the barn, where you'll be camping.

The Rooney Farm is an 820 acre working organic dairy farm and maple sugarbush in Morristown, VT that has been stewarded by the Rooney family for four generations. We milk a herd of fifty holstein, jersey, guernsey, and ayrshire cows. We are right off the Long Trail, Catamount Trail, and VAST trail systems.
We have mountain bike trails on the farm as well as a great swimming hole. We have miles of hiking trails that link up to the Beaver Meadow trail network in the Vermont State Forest as well as Morristown Forest trails. Our camp has two full size beds and sleeps four people. Quiet, peaceful, surrounded by horses! We came a little late in the season but stayed warm with our winter bedding (you bring your own). Everything you needed to start a cozy fire was provided and the stove and griddle were an added bonus in the covered pavilion.

Weekend Trip to Art and Health Chill Camping
We absolutely loved our stay here! Such a peaceful, beautiful little spot and a perfect home base for exploring Vermont. The gardens were amazing and we really appreciated having a bathroom and a shared common space while still getting that camping in nature experience.
The wood fired sauna was such a unique bonus! One thing we didn’t realize beforehand is that it takes some time to get it heated and ready, so I’d recommend planning ahead and letting them know roughly when you’d like to use it. Now that we know, we’d definitely plan for that next time!
The property was quiet, surrounded by nature, It had such a special Vermont feel. We made some really great memories here and would absolutely stay again.

The camp facilities are well maintained, providing all that our group required. The handicraft lodge provides both enclosed berthing space, with electricity, and open pavilion space for outdoor activities that can benefit from a roof overhead.
Ranger Eric's support was top notch and he had ready answers to any questions that we posed to him. This is a great place to camp, particularly for those that don't want to have to hike into the woods.

Very magickal little cabin! We loved the little things! The flowers and the fairy lights inside and how there was an area for food compost, recycling and trash. We loved the soap and water outside the composting toilet, the beautiful view and the hummingbird who visits the bee balm.

Such a wonderful camping spot near Lake Willoughby and Bread and Puppet. It’s private, clean, and has tons of firewood to keep the fire going. Fun activities around camp like axe throwing and horse shoes and mountain biking trails all around! Second time staying there and love it.

The cabins at Burke Line Farm are adorable and were very homey, they served as the perfect home-base for my wife and I to take a quick fishing getaway. The location is easy to find and within range of some great fishing spots. The cabins feature camping cots, candlelight, and readily available firewood with great little fire pits right outside. There is also a pavilion conveniently located, prepared with gas powered stoves and grills that make cooking a breeze. WiFi availability was HUGE in such a remote location. The cots sag a little bit and anybody not familiar with camping cots may find themselves a little uncomfortable, but they do the trick

The Bus was a fun place to stay in, and the property was lovely! My friend and I were doing the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail and didn’t want to carry camping gear. The Bus had a fire pit next to it, so it felt like glamping! The Bus was conveniently located and had everything we needed (in addition to beds) —- dishes, cutlery, electricity, an outdoor sink, and sweet water! We enjoyed items from the farm stand (especially the lavender lemonade) and a nice breakfast basket in the morning. Would recommend to others!
