6 Sites are on Sunrise Farms 75 acre Conservation land with 50 mile view for Sites 1 and 2. Very quiet area with lots of wildlife and ponds and disc golf. Very quiet with great swimming and lots of hikes right from your sites.
2 of the Brookside Sites (Wishbone Left and Right) are close by (2.7 miles) where we have another 1/2 mile of river frontage and can handle bigger groups as Conservation land on Sunrise Farm only allows 4 campers per site.
Sunrise Farm Sites 1 and 2 have oodles of space and Spectacular 50 mile views of Mount Monadnock with no house lights out there in the evening except the party string lights we provide.
Site 1 (with entrance 70 yards south of the farmhouse) is best for camping in with up to 20 foot trailers or multiple tents …on the large flat spaces in the 25 acre field to choose from.
Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear.
We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest).
- PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use).
Beautiful and plenty of wildlife nearby... as well as Outhouses are marked on Map we provide with solar lights marking them at night. Do Not Leave food out when camping or away from site. Bears are rarely seen but it is wild country. Sites have locking garbage lids.
Unique and lovely as well as being next to trails and roads to miles of remote spots with very few if any ... people.
In Winter we request only AWD vehicles go down to this site or park up by farmhouse and hike in so you can easily get out. When wet park up by the road if you have 2 wheel drive.
Always WISE to arrive When LIGHT out as we do not live at the site and are not able to show guests to their sites as a result.

Camping is provided by and in support of the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center, a 501 3C non-profit company. Located in the heart of the Green Mountain National Forest, the Outdoor Center provides access to the Blueberry Hill network of trails, the Vermont Long Trail, The Catamount Trail, and the Moosalamoo National Forest Trails.
All campsites are located at the edge of the field behind the Outdoor Center. We have hot/cold outdoor showers as well as restrooms in the Outdoor Center. For more information, visit our website at blueberryhilltrails dot com.
While there is an internet connection near the buildings, it may not be available at your site. Cell service is limited at best. You can drive your car right up to your site. Sites are a good distance apart. Site 1 and the Bed in the Shed are the most private. Site two is quite open and supports trailers.
For your campfire, you can forage for wood or request "bundles" (about a dozen hunks of wood) by the morning of your arrival, and we'll have it delivered to your site. Please note, wood from outside Vermont is not permitted.
We like to keep things quiet. No generators at any time.
Step outside your tent and you'll find a wealth of hiking, biking, and running trails. As stewards of these trails, your camping fees help support the efforts of this non-profit company. Nearby, you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Trail maps are provided upon arrival, and you can also view them online on our webpage at Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center.
The Outdoor Center offers snacks and cold drinks for purchase, including our inn-made chocolate chip cookies, chips, and cold drinks. Also available on site, at the Inn across the road on mornings we are serving, may be a full breakfast, pastries, packed lunch, and coffee. (Please enquire in advance or night before if any inn items are available. ) Don't miss our Pizza Nights at the inn. More info on the Outdoor Center or Blueberry Hill Inn webpage. Payment for extras can be made on-site via Venmo or cash.

Plenty of places to dip into the cool water when you need to cool off! Walk or drive down to either of 2 covered bridges and see the craftmanship that enables them to continue to be used today! Access the Long Trail at multiple locations within a few miles.
BIKING
Bike the back roads of the area—wooded areas, windy or flat terrain, beautiful views, plenty of spots to rest beside a flowing stream. Or, access the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (93+ miles of non-motorized riding/walking on a converted and maintained railway bed).
FISHING/HUNTING
In the mountains we have streams, brooks, and rivers. There are many hotspots for fishing—lots of brook trout! No matter the rod you use, there are many places to try your skills. A fishing/hunting license is needed.
CANOE, KAYAK, TUBE
Got your own? Bring it! The Lamoille River is a few miles away and a favorite for water lovers. Don't have one, there is a great rental place down the road where you can take one out for the day. Looking for another option to the river? The Belvidere Pond is down the road and offers a peaceful place to paddle around surrounded by the mountains.
MAPLE SYRUP/SUGARBUSH
Want to learn about the maple sugaring process? We are always happy to give you a tour of our sugarhouse and the woods, and explain how we turn the tree sap into yummy Maple Syrup. (We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home!
WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS
Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys!

Camp sites include flat area, fire ring. Electricity and water at 2 sites. 1 site has a poured concrete pad -- perfect for a camper/RV. The other sites (grassy) can accomodate a camper/RV or tents. Please be prepared to provide your own camping toilet and pack out your trash. If you bring your dog(s), please clean up after them and have "control" as the dirt road is fully in view of the sites. (ATVs (on the trail) and a few vehicles do use the road.)

Phoebe's Perch is our 240 sq. ft. A-frame cabin located on Rochester Gap in central Vermont.
The Perch is 100% OFF-GRID and represents glamping at its best! With no electricity, running water, or Wi-Fi, it’s the perfect place to unplug and get away from it all while enjoying Vermont’s beautiful Green Mountains.
The Space
Our A-frame cabin (known as Phoebe’s Perch) is 240 sq. ft. with a sleeping loft. It sits on 37 acres surrounded by nature.
The Perch is a simple shelter in the woods. It’s fully insulated, and there are some basic furnishings and supplies, but guests should bring anything they would normally take on a tent camping trip. (No tent needed!)
Think of it as "glamping" but in a cabin.
You will find a queen mattress in the loft and two cots stored away on the lower level. Just bring your sleeping bag and a pillow to enjoy a restful night’s sleep.
The Perch is 100% off-grid (no electricity, no running water, no shower, no heat/AC, and no Wi-Fi), but you will find a battery bank for powering your phones and other small devices. In warmer weather, we provide water in a couple of large jugs for washing up. (The provided water is not for drinking.) There are battery-powered lights inside the cabin, as well as a motion-activated light in the outhouse.
A Solo Stove fire pit sits on the porch for nightly campfires (bring firewood with you). There is also a propane grill and a two-burner Coleman stove for cooking. (Propane is provided.) You will find tools for making s’mores and a teapot, but other dishes, pots, and pans are not yet available, so please bring what you need with you.
The property has trails throughout, and guests are encouraged to explore at their leisure. Please be mindful of Vermont’s wilderness as you hike. There are animals, exposed (and hidden) roots, rocks, and other obstacles. In wet or snowy weather, the trails WILL be slick. Hike at your own risk.
Please note that you will need to walk along a short path (about 100 yards) from the parking area to the cabin. Stairs and a ladder must be used to access the cabin, sleeping loft, and outhouse. Please consider your physical limitations when booking your stay.
Cell phone service is spotty, but calls and texts should work fine. Streaming video will be a challenge.
There are a couple of wildlife trail cameras set up on the property. They do not capture video, but they do take pictures of passing animals (and yes, passing people).
This is a carry-in/carry-out rental. Whatever you bring with you needs to leave with you, including trash. We do not charge a cleaning fee, and guests are asked to tidy up before leaving so the cabin is ready for the next guests.
Lastly, NO THIRD-PARTY BOOKINGS! The person whose name appears on the reservation must be present for the duration of the rental. Violations will result in guest removal/cancellation. No refunds will be issued in such situations.
Guest Access
The entire cabin and all 37 acres are yours to explore. Only one renter/group will be on site at a time, so you will not be interrupted by others.
Other Things to Note
This is a carry-in/carry-out rental. Due to its remote location, you will need to take your trash with you when you leave.
I do not charge a cleaning fee because guests are asked to clean up before they leave. Please leave the cabin as you found it.
There is a broom and dustpan, along with cleaning spray and paper towels. Please help keep costs down for future renters by keeping the cabin tidy for our next guests.
PLEASE NOTE: The last 0.3 miles (3/10 of a mile) of road to the property is a Class 4 road. While the road is perfectly passable in dry weather, it can become muddy and slippery in rain or snow. It is highly recommended that a four-wheel-drive vehicle with ground clearance be used in such conditions.
AAA does not tow from Class 4 roads.
The cabin is in the woods, on a mountain, and you will be surrounded by wildlife. Deer frequent the property. While I have never seen one, black bears are native to Vermont, and it is always possible that one could be on the property. Be mindful when out in the woods, on the property, or anywhere else.
NO THIRD-PARTY BOOKINGS. The person named on the reservation must be present for the duration of the rental. Violations will result in guest removal. No refunds will be issued in such situations.

We also utilize all of our property for gardening, logging, tapping trees, bee keeping, milling, stacking and moving wood, etc., so you will probably see us during your stay. But no worries the cabin is comfortably private.
There is no electricity at cabin. You should have phone reception but no wifi available.
This area of Vermont has snow all winter, and mud in the spring. I do my best to keep the driveway clean and most of the time there are no issues but ideally you would want 4WD and snow tires.

Weekend Trip to Burke Line Farm
Such a wonderful camping spot near Lake Willoughby and Bread and Puppet. It’s private, clean, and has tons of firewood to keep the fire going. Fun activities around camp like axe throwing and horse shoes and mountain biking trails all around! Second time staying there and love it.

Had a lovely stay at Renel’s little cabin by the river.
Would NOT have guessed it’s so close to a main road based on other reviews. That is not mentioned!
The flow of the river right beside you drowns out most of the sound but big trucks and motorcycles are easily heard. Also, the cabin is in plain view from the bridge on Harbour Rd but there is not much traffic and we never felt intruded upon.
So do not expect to be in the middle of nowhere, but we felt like there was plenty of privacy and peace.
Cabin itself is great and Renel and family are delightful. Amazing first visit to Vermont!

The cabins at Burke Line Farm are adorable and were very homey, they served as the perfect home-base for my wife and I to take a quick fishing getaway. The location is easy to find and within range of some great fishing spots. The cabins feature camping cots, candlelight, and readily available firewood with great little fire pits right outside. There is also a pavilion conveniently located, prepared with gas powered stoves and grills that make cooking a breeze. WiFi availability was HUGE in such a remote location. The cots sag a little bit and anybody not familiar with camping cots may find themselves a little uncomfortable, but they do the trick

Weekend Trip to BlueberryHill Field Camp
My fourth time at the best Hipcamp in Vermont. This is the quintessential camping plus comfort. It is a comfortable bed, no bugs. In a shed, no power. With a fire pit, a huge sky, blueberries and moose around, screaming wifi and clean bathrooms and delightful outdoor showers. The Green Mountains have so much to offer and a safe and warm and comfortable place to call home is all you need.

We loved being there with our dogs! You can hear the highway, but you can’t see it and there is plenty of space for pups to run around! The cabin was clean with lots of supplies for cleaning, cooking or just being out there to hang out!

Our stay at Shari’s was absolutely perfect. We stayed with our 4-year-old, and it couldn’t have been a more memorable experience. We arrived just in time for pizza and live music at the inn, which was such a wonderful way to begin our stay. Everything felt welcoming, relaxed, and special. This was exactly the kind of experience we hope for, and we’d happily return.

1 night at Zen Cabin
This was my second stay at zen cabin (after falling in love with it the first time) and I will for sure stay there again any time I’m up that way! Super cute, cozy & magical. Lovely wooded hang space with fire pit, beautiful views, and proximity to a great general store & all kinds of fun adventures (we did Bread & Puppet, dinner at Blackbird Bistro, a visit to Blueberry Lake & a lil hike around the Barr Hill nature preserve). Mitchell & his family are lovely. We arrived after dark and he still came to greet us & make sure we were all good :). Wishing we had more time there & can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Bent Apple Farm
This was the most beautiful spot for a summertime excursion to Vermont. We had a fire pit to ourselves, but also had access to a hot tub and communal fire pit (and sauna thought we didn't have time to try it). The cabin's large windows face a stand of trees and the sunset. The light coming through the windows is magical, especially in the morning. The soft blue fog in the trees and across the meadow is unforgettable. I imagine it's absolutely lovely in the winter too. We'll try to come back!
The cabin was super spacious and charmingly decorated. The grill was clean and ease to use. The kitchen was mostly outfitted with useful utensils, appliances, and necessary items like soap and towels. I do have to say the lack of curtains (also mentioned in another review) in the bathroom is a problem. A rollup shade or gingham curtain wouldn't detract from the vibe.
It was pretty quick to get back to civilization (10-15 min) to find a grocery or restaurant. There were occupants of the other cabins on the property but we only saw them in passing and they weren't close enough to bother us in terms of noise.

Weekend Trip to Rooted Acres Farm
We really enjoyed our stay at Jerry’s Baby Bear Cabin! It was well equipped with everything we needed for a nice weekend. I thought it was the perfect blend of comfortable and rustic - being able to cook, shower, and sit by the fire outside and then retreat inside to the cozy cabin to sleep. We were grateful to come back to the cabin and take a warm shower and relax by the fire after a long day of biking!

3 nights at Vermont Homestead
Julie and Frank were wonderful hosts who are happy to share their beautiful slice of land nested in the hills of Chester, VT.
As an avid fan of 'outdoor showers' theirs gets 5 stars from me and The Studio is both cozy and reprieve from Vermont's morning dew that might otherwise decorate a tent or tarp.
The place and experience were already wonderful and then Julie shared a couple delicious zucchini muffins..which sealed the deal: I will be back. : D

2 nights at Grateful Acres Vermont
We stayed in the Sunshine cabin and it exceeding what I expected for a rustic cabin. Stephanie added so many functional and Grateful Dead related items! As a long time head and aspiring homesteader Grateful Acres was the perfect fit for me. The site were spacious and have grills, firepits and hammock stands (hammock provided). My goal was to watch the Persieds and see the milky way away from the light pollution and this place was perfect for it! The property practices wildlife preservation which is the cherry on top for me! I'll be back for sure!
