If the pond’s low, bring a float or take our kayaks ten minutes away to a secret bend in the San Marcos River. We’ll share the pin.
Your close to town but, fully immersed in nature, so it's not ideal for small kids to wander alone. Ladders, beds, and trails aren’t built to code. Adults should be fit and wear sturdy shoes if going far from camp.

Just steps away are two outdoor showers (with hot water) and two outdoor toilets (separate rooms) that are connected to our septic system. This rest area has a sink in between the private toilet rooms. There is also a kitchen area with a refrigerator, sink, grill and a table for 6.

Come and stay at our four acre riverfront property right on the Guadalupe! Half of the property is at higher elevation, with a nice sunset vista and breezy camping spots. Parking is also located up here. A short walk down a gated ravine takes you to the lower-leveled riverfront part of the property. This area offers 1-2 camping spots on a wooden deck, and 2-3 camping spots on the rock/concrete pavilion overlooking the fire pit and benches. The riverfront amenities include a gas grill, a cooler, a fire pit (firewood included but always subject to a burn ban), and well water for a hose shower (not for drinking). There is well water on the upper part of the property as well. No fires are permitted up top.
Enjoy the views up top and the amenities down below. Set up your camp wherever works best for you!
Note: There is no electricity or bathrooms on the property. Please pack out what you pack in.
We rent the entire property to one person/reservation at a time. Up to 10 people on the property allowed or $25 per extra person.
Cast a line in the Guadalupe and enjoy the bass and catfish fishing — If you're interested in a fishing guide for a 2-3 hour morning run, the cost is $250.00. The guide will pick you up on the banks of the property around 7am, and you'll be off the water by 10am. Subject to his availability.
Feel free to BYO kayak or canoe. Life jackets highly encouraged!
The property is on ALT 90, 5 miles east of Diamond A Gas Station and Doss BBQ, in Belmont, Texas. It is 10 miles west of Gonzales (home of the "Come and Take It" cannon legend and birthplace of Texas independence). They have an HEB, local Mexican food, and plenty of fast food options.
Hopefully you will find it a peaceful as we do. Always feel free to call with questions while you're there. First time renting our property out, so constructive suggestions are welcomed!

This isn’t polished, modern luxury. It’s barefoot luxury. A dreamy, playful escape with simple comforts: a swinging queen daybed, open-air master bath in the tree with you, fire pit, cowboy hot tub, and a rope cargo net for lounging in the forest. There are trails to wander, frogs to sing you to sleep, and stars above.
Push open the double doors. Slide the futon against the handrail under the roof cover. Turn off the lights and leave only the fairy lights glowing. Across the pond, a spotlight shines on a little feeder, and if you’ve been quiet, you’ll see deer, raccoons, and other critters play in the dark—like a living storybook, better than TV. Leave the doors open. Let the cool AC wash over you. This moment is yours.
The entire holler is yours. No neighbors. No campers. No shared anything. Just you and the wild around you.
This land is a working wildlife sanctuary, cared for with 50 years of hands-on learning. Please don’t bring poisons—they hurt the good critters too. The yellow-and-black mud daubers? Harmless to humans, deadly to harmful spiders. The big harmless, banana spiders keep flies and mosquitos away. It's nature in balance.
If the pond’s low, bring a float or take our kayaks ten minutes away to a secret bend in the San Marcos River. We’ll share the pin.
Your close to town but, fully immersed in nature, so it's not ideal for small kids to wander alone. Ladders, beds, and trails aren’t built to code. Adults should be fit and wear sturdy shoes if going far from camp.
One night is fun. But your happy place deserves more than that.

Come and stay at our four acre riverfront property right on the Guadalupe! Half of the property is at higher elevation, with a nice sunset vista and breezy camping spots. Parking is also located up here. A short walk down a gated ravine takes you to the lower-leveled riverfront part of the property. This area offers 1-2 camping spots on a wooden deck, and 2-3 camping spots on the rock/concrete pavilion overlooking the fire pit and benches. The riverfront amenities include a gas grill, a cooler, a fire pit (firewood included but always subject to a burn ban), and well water for a hose shower (not for drinking). There is well water on the upper part of the property as well. No fires are permitted up top.
Enjoy the views up top and the amenities down below. Set up your camp wherever works best for you!
Note: There is no electricity or bathrooms on the property. Please pack out what you pack in.
We rent the entire property to one person/reservation at a time. Up to 10 people on the property allowed or $25 per extra person.
Cast a line in the Guadalupe and enjoy the bass and catfish fishing — If you're interested in a fishing guide for a 2-3 hour morning run, the cost is $250.00. The guide will pick you up on the banks of the property around 7am, and you'll be off the water by 10am. Subject to his availability.
Feel free to BYO kayak or canoe. Life jackets highly encouraged!
The property is on ALT 90, 5 miles east of Diamond A Gas Station and Doss BBQ, in Belmont, Texas. It is 10 miles west of Gonzales (home of the "Come and Take It" cannon legend and birthplace of Texas independence). They have an HEB, local Mexican food, and plenty of fast food options.
Hopefully you will find it a peaceful as we do. Always feel free to call with questions while you're there. First time renting our property out, so constructive suggestions are welcomed!

Great and secluded little spot on the river. There are more tent/rv sites nearby, but i had the whole area to myself. Bathroom was clean, well lit and close by. Camper covered the basics and ac/heater unit kept us comfortable.

So a friend of mine recommended this spot and the family liked the idea of camping Christmas weekend so that's what we did. Booked the cute little camper and pitched a tent outside. It worked out perfect for a family of 4 adults & 2 littles. The camper is so adorable and was very comfortable. They've got a mini fridge, coffee pot w/ coffee provided and even had a TV! Guys were able to watch the football game on a big screen! Oh and did I mention it's air conditioned! Huge fire pit and the outhouse was pretty cool. 2 showers and toilet and just across from the camper which was very nice. Towels and shampoo were provided even. They had canoes to use at your discretion. A swing for small ones. Very much a nice & cozy spot and would definitely camp there again!

The property is amazing. We spend two night here starting Christmas Day.
It was right up next to the Colorado river. So kayaking was a must, but up stream, currents were quite strong. So fun and peaceful.
We were left alone and the bath house was a great addition for tent camping for two nights.
A wonderful fire pit to cook on, and our request for fire wood was delivered!
Highly recommend!

Big beautiful campsite right along the Colorado river gorgeous view. Super cute bath house with two showers one toilet there’s towels , shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available. There’s a separate dishwashing station on the left side of the bathhouse. The host was extremely nice very responsive. She’s on the ground so if you ever need anything, she’s there to help. Bathroom and showers were nice and clean and stocked with amenities like towels, bath rugs and even shampoo and body wash. My friends and I had such a great time camping here! The view of the river was beautiful, we could birdwatch from our campsite (barred owl, red shouldered hawk, king fisher, great egret, red-bellied woodpecker), the bathroom, dish washing, and shower facilities were extremely well stocked and clean, we were given free recently felled wood to burn, we loved getting cozy by the large fire pit - it had foot rests and a surface for resting our stuff!
Bridget was the most attentive and sweet host; she checked on us before we arrived, she immediately answered my questions about a fire ban, she visited after we got settled, she brought us a can opener when we forgot one, she checked on us when she was worried our neighbors might be too noisy (they weren’t).
The only thing we didn’t love was how many ants were on the ground, but that 1. Comes with the territory of living in Texas and 2. Is a hard thing for any landowner to fix. Just make sure you wear socks and bug spray to prevent any bites!
My friends and I agree that we found a new spot to add to our regular camping rotation, and we can’t wait to come back :-)

We fully enjoyed staying at Bridgette’s place. We were a small group at site 3 with 2 tents, a truck tent and small travel trailer. We had plenty of space. There was another group at site 2. Finding the Magnolia is a little tricky with Google maps (it just pinned it as part of a school district!) but the bumpy drive is worth it. The camping area is tucked around behind the barn, so you don't even notice the family home. The tent is super cute, the hammock chairs comfy, and the star-viewing? Superb. It won't be for everyone, but Jennifer gives all the details in the listing, so it shouldn't be a surprise that the bathroom facilities are rustic. Overall, a lovely experience.
p.s. we got to cuddle with absolutely adorable outdoor cats during our stay, which was 10/10 for all participants!
