Good times! A lot of room between campsites, shower and restrooms available. The llama do their llama thing a seem unfazed their human gusts. We'll be back!

It was expensive 79.00 a night. I stayed 5 nights during Memorial weekend. Very nice, shaded RV park, it has a nice fishing pier for people who like to fish.

Weekend Trip to Llama Land Ranch

We had an absolute blast at Llama land! Site 1 was perfect for our littles, we had full access to the llamas but a nice fence to keep kiddos and animals separate. Lots of friendly cats and dogs on property, which the kiddos also loved. The pond was a hit for fishing, bathrooms were as clean as you'd expect for a campsite maybe even cleaner than I expected, and the property was gorgeous. Judy was one of the friendliest and most helpful property owners I've dealt with, and you can tell her and her crew love what they do. We will absolutely be back!

Judy was a very accommodating host. We got in pretty late and she showed us around our campsite. The land was very green and well kept and the trees were massive. The campsites were very well set up very nicely with swings, fire pits, and rocking chairs. The dog and cats roaming around were super friendly. The llamas were pretty cool and they love the food. You have to bribe them with food to get them interact with you though, but they are very chill. The bathroom was very clean and nice and had running water. I wish I could’ve found the creek but I couldn’t find the trail to it. Overall great experience!

If you have reservations with the llamas don't worry. The host is outstanding and you have the option to camp right with the llamas or in one of serveral spots fenced off while still allowing you to feed them if you choose. I stayed at site 5, that had plenty of amenities and space for my camp setup.

We had 20 Girl Scouts tent camp at Llama Land Ranch, and we had such a great time! We had planned to camp by the pond, but we were happily surprised to be placed near the pavilion instead. So we had shelter, electricity, an amazing outdoor kitchen, and a bathroom with running water! The llamas came and slept near us both nights, and we felt like they were watching over us. We also loved feeding them! We can't wait to go back and bring even more Girl Scouts with us. As other reviewers have said, Judy is a wonderful host. I expect I'll be returning to Llama Land Ranch many times.

I am not one with words, but if you read one review, read this one. We arrived and Rick was full of stories and information about the property. He took us to our site (4 wheel drive is a MUST!) which was amazing. He allowed us to rearrange the picnic table and fire ring to our liking. The next morning Rick set our eggs out that we purchased through him at 6am. We went fishing and caught four 2-2.8 pounders. It was amazing! That sunset I took the photography class presented by Rick. It was wonderful. Got a lot of information and he took me to some pretty spots I had not seen before. That evening it rained and stormed. Our tent collapsed and our gear was soaked. This was my first time camping, and because the amazing time Rick provided I am hooked!!!! The animals coming in to my camp was unforgettable and seeing my dogs swim in the ponds, those are memories I’ll never forget! Thank you Rick for having such a beautiful, well maintained and kept up property! Me and my family will be back!!!!

We LOVED llama land ranch! It was the perfect getaway from Fort Worth for the weekend. Our campsite was tucked away from the other sites on either side of us so we didn’t feel like we were near others. Judy was so welcoming and responsive. The bathrooms are “NICE NICE NICE” as advertised and pretty cool as they are in a silo. The llamas, pups, and cats around the place were so much fun to be around. It was such a peaceful retreat for the weekend. We will definitely be back! Very family friendly or if you want to keep to yourselves that’s easy too :)

Pastures are mowed three times a year and always look beautiful. There is some terrain that is rough and the land has not been traveled. Bring machetes and a compass (We are not a rescue team). The land is ready to be loved by our visitors. The llamas will come to greet you and so will many more things in this wonderful place. In 2013, we bought our 13 acres from a larger parcel of land that had been owned and farmed by the Snider family for 150 years. (Note that we live on Snider Lane). The Sniders played an important part in the development of our town, Lucas, and surrounding schools. The rest of the land has been sold to two families, and all three purchasers (that includes us!) are establishing small family farms. Hurray! Plus the Snider's old house and barn next door are being renovated by the new owners! Since 2013, we have brought in water and electricity to the land, built fences, a house and several barns. We have a flock of chickens, a bunch of loud, nosey Nubian dairy goats, 2 cats and 2 dogs. We farm organic vegetables, and have planted some fruit trees. We are committed to conservation of our land and the wildlife that call it home, and are working to restore our wildflower meadow (location of the campsite) to original prairie state. Come see us; we'd like to share it all with you! Learn more about this land: Come to Fieldsong Farm, absorb the peace and serenity, and leave refreshed! Stake your tent on the edge of our tallgrass wildflower meadow, and immerse yourself in diversity where the city ends and the country begins.
