Loved the spot! I plan to return. Bathroom and shower available and a kitchenet with appliances, very convenient. Little nice trail to the nearby lake with kayaks available for use. Loved the artistry on the property, the hammocks, entertainment area, and easy place to collect firewood for campfire!

This place is always awesome, but this new site takes it up a notch! The full size tent that you can walk in, the front porch and back balcony and electricity make it so comfortable and fun! When regular tent clamping gets old, or you are more of a glamper I can’t recommend this site enough! Plus the host Barry is always the best!

Weekend Trip to Tara Vineyard & Winery estate

Had an awesome tent camping experience here at Tara Vineyard and Winery! First of there are adorable animals 💜. Secondly the bathroom amenities were super clean! Note that the shower is an outdoor shower so be sure to bring a bathing suit to shower in. The shower water was lukewarm, but honestly didn’t bother me. Overall had a great time camping here. Sadly, we didn’t make time to try out the winery, but guess we’ll have to come back and try it out! The charcuterie boards looked amazing though 😍!

This has truly been our favorite campground in this area of Texas! Barry is amazingly kind and attentive, always going above and beyond to keep the place spotless and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere feels so peaceful and safe — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. We got to hear Barry's stories, and he even sang for us, which made the experience unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

The horse ride was great and it was awesome to learn about the specific breed that Angela has there. This place is absolutely beautiful!! A hidden gem that’s snuggled between tall trees and beautiful views of the lake. Being able to wake up to the sounds of water and a view of the lake, was always something I thought was only in movies. To have it a reality, was amazing and memorable. We traveled 6 hours to try this slice of heaven, and we would 100000% return. We stayed on a primitive camp site that was far from other guest, making the experience feel secluded and peaceful. Sure you get your occasional “frat boy style” parties passing by on boats late at night, blasting music, but they pass rather quickly, so it isnt enough to disrupt your stay. There are also fishermen that roll in late at night, but they stay clear of you and everything remains blissful. I can honestly say that staying here provided one of the most restful weekends ever!!! 10 out of 10 do recommend!!

Can’t say enough good things about this site and Jeffrey! If you’ve got kids and want them to experience camp life near DFW, this is the place. Fishing, outdoor games, goats, a greenhouse, and s’mores by the fire kept them busy the whole time. There’s WiFi and TV, but the kids didn’t care cause there was too much to do. If you have dogs it’s great to see them running and exploring too. Perfect mix of nature and comfort
