Being close to the bathroom/shower was convenient. My kids loved climbing the tree and we were able to hang our hammock. The sky was clear and the stars were bright. The site is in an RV park and right beside the road, so it wasn't as private as we are used to but worked out for our last minute camping trip. River access was exactly what we were looking for. It was beautiful, cool and refreshing! Access to the electrical plug in was a nice extra. Derek was informative and very helpful when asking about kayaks and firewood.

This was our second time at this Hipcamp and we used their RV sites both times. This is a great property and the hosts are wonderful. The views are amazing and with close proximity to Lost Maples (15 mins), you can't beat it. We will definitely be back.

The beauty of this hill country land is amazing. Quiet and peaceful. My family and I enjoyed the clear water of the swimming hole, it was cool but perfect when the sun was over us. Wilson is very nice, helpful and fun guy! He was a great guide showing us all around the property and giving us options as to our campsite. There’s plenty of space for small or large groups. We got the opportunity to enjoy the less rough off-road trails and saw some beautiful views. If you’re lucky enough like we were, you’ll get to enjoy all the adventures this property has to offer.

I stood in one of the glamping tents and it was a dream. The setup was very thoughtful, and I came with a lot of my own gear but didn’t even need to use all the things I brought because they provided so many amenities. I had the pleasure of interacting with both owners on different occasions and they were extremely friendly and hospitable. A beautiful property that I’ll tell my friends about all week. Look forward to returning!

This hidden camp up on the hill is a great little getaway! The sites have plenty of space and the natural areas around are amazing to get that feel of getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city! The views of the sky are incredible! The owners are great and very helpful, but also respect privacy! They are working to get better WiFi reception, but most of the time it wasn’t an issue. It’s a close drive to Lost Maples and surrounding areas. Definitely recommend!

After a lifetime of travels, we are now (since 2019) settled down in the Texas Hill Country. We started out with 5 of us in a travel trailer in the woods, and have slowly carved out the Groot’s home. Living in an area that was once subdivided to provide camp sites for people coming to enjoy Medina lake, it only seems right to make our land available for people to do just that. Enjoy. You will find our back yard travel trailer and surrounding camp site tucked away in a little forest of Elm trees. Surrounded by scrub brush and with our container workshop as a privacy wall you will enjoy the feeling of having your own space as you enjoy some relaxation around a camp fire or in the hammock. The trees offer shade and draw in nature, while the surrounding Texas Hill country and nearby Medina Lake offer plenty of additional sights and opportunities to explore.

Primitive tent camping, or if you want to go glamping you can bring an RV with a generator and be even more secluded but still have the comfortable amenities of an RV. IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN RV...no worries! Contact outdoorsy.com. you can rent an RV. They will deliver it, set it up and pick it up. Remember to ask for a generator. You don't have to bring wood. We got yuh covered! There is a porta potty at the dig site. We are currently working on getting an outside bathroom and shower area. Firepit musicians welcome! Bring your instruments! Bring bikes, dirt bikes, atv or mule. Rock hounds who love to pick up rocks will love this place. Photographers who enjoy taking pictures of nature and wildlife will love this! During the month of February March and April the ranch provides a safe space with no electric lines in the 1500' long Sandy bottom dry creek. Leaving you with straight Lanes to you kites.
