Please notify me in your booking if you intend to bring a camper and I can accommodate you. We practice leave-no-trace as much as possible. So please pack out anything you pack in. You are responsible for removing all trash. If any garbage is left behind in your site you will be billed for the cleanup. We have a dumpster located near the front gate. Please use it and put all your trash in there. Heads-up! We have a small farm on the property. Dogs are always welcome and we LOVE our furry friends! There is something for everyone to feel free to bring the whole family. DIRECTIONS: Once you are on Road Runner Circle, go past the house on the left with the Christmas lights on. Please continue down the road and follow the road around the curve to the left. The campsites will be on the left and side behind the rock walls. The campsite number that is booked is the campsite you will stay in. Additional details to note: - We now have an above ground pool to keep cool in during the summer! . These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you. . These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you. The property owner, Jay, was nice and helpful. Held up here during a snow storm. It’s about an hour 15 minutes away from Carlsbad and Guadalupe Mt. National Parks. The closest town is Dell City which is an agricultural town with two small grocery stores for necessities. Otherwise, make sure you have food, diesel, propane, etc. closest big town is El Paso about 80 miles away. Nice hookups and WiFi.

Amazing place to stay for a trip in big bend. Honestly closest you’re gonna get besides staying inside the park. It was 10 mins from the entrance to the park, 40 mins to chisos basin hikes, and one hour to Santa elana canyon. Fantastic experience, planning to stay again. Not too hard to find, great stargazing, close to the small town where we got coffee each morning.

This place was super cute and the hosts Hollis & Beaux were so accommodating and delightful! Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse and we had a 15mo old with us, and they kept us updated through the night of the upcoming weather issues of a freeze incoming and refunded us since it would be too cold to stay in a tent overnight. We will definitely be back again in warmer weather!

The weather turned cold before our trip but we decided to keep our plans on Billy’s land. And we are glad we did! There’s a dense patch of bamboo growing near the campsite which acted as a shield. We could hear the cold front blowing in, but never felt the wind! Although you can see another campsite, it’s pretty far in the distance and I barely even heard the other campers. Also recommend you purchase Billy’s bucket of firewood, it’s a phenomenal value, and helped keep us warm. We found our new winter camping spot! My very picky and particular dog LOVED it!

Weekend Trip to River Grove Campground

River Grove is one of my favorite spots around Austin. I've camped there several times and it never disappoints. We tried out campsite 3 vs River Bottom, and I'm infinitely glad I chose that one for our particular weekend. Temps got below freezing with huge gusts of wind, but because of a sizable bamboo forest on the grounds, the wind barely touched us, making for a much more comfortable weekend. We enjoyed campfires (Billy's $15 firewood is a BIG bundle y'all-- worth it), carved walking sticks, played Kubb (look it up!), braided bracelets. The pup had the time of her life as well. Beautiful spot, and Billy was a great host!

4 nights at Circle C CampGrounds

This place was truly a getaway. Terry was an incredible host and has a slice of heaven at Circle C. I stayed at campsite 1. The bathroom was impeccably clean and outdoor shower was ideal to feel like a human after just enough heat in January in Texas to break a sweat and still also want to build a fire at night. I ventured through some of the trails in the neighboring Sam Houston Natural Forest, which has two entrances right next to the campsites. The peace and quiet was the palate cleanse from the city I needed. I went during the week and essentially had the whole place to myself. My favorite part of my trip was just sitting next to the fire, listening to the coyotes, crickets, and leaves fluttering as the night breeze rolled through. It does get pretty dark out there at night. As a solo female camper I felt perfectly safe and had some lanterns as well as lights around the pavilion to guide me. Terry was a gem and so kind and helpful. He was a pleasure to chat with and made the experience even more enjoyable. I knew some rain was rolling through the last day or two of my trip, but I underestimated how much rain and overestimated my tent’s waterproofing so left a little early. Still well worth the short drive from the city. If you’re like me, you’ll be happy to know that there is little to no WiFi out there. With serenity and peace in nature like that, I can tell you that I had no desire to look at a screen.
