Absolutely beautiful land, very peaceful with many options for spots to camp. The host were very welcoming and responsive and the place was easy to find. Would suggest this place any day!

Our family enjoyed desert camping for the first time. We stayed at the Guad Almighty site which was a little more secluded and definitely would be difficult to get to without the proper vehicle. We had a lovely view of the mountain, enjoyed listening to the coyotes, stargazing and the adorable kangaroo mice.

Friendly people in a nice area services are good would definitely recommend a stay here if you passing through or staying in the area

Perfect Spot! As a solo female I felt super safe here. The spots were spaced out real nice and it was way better than the camping I saw inside Guadalupe. I even saw a Kangaroo Rat on my last night and got clued into Blue Origins being super close so I got to watch a rocket launch. I will be recommending to all of my friends.

My pups and I couldn’t have been happier with our stay! The experience exceeded my expectations. We loved how much thought and consideration the hosts put into everything. The description was accurate and informative and the host was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the private river access. It was peaceful and rejuvenating; we will definitely stay here again! My dogs didn’t want to leave. We saw a few snakes, carp, raccoon and deer by the river but bugs were not an issue. Cell service (T-Mobile) was a little spotty at the river, not bad though. The outdoor shower was nice to be able to clean up after playing in the river with my dogs. Definitely check out the little farm stand while you’re there! There were fresh eggs and jellies for sale when we were there.

Had a great weekend! Hot showers, clean porta potty, and plenty of firewood for us to use! Owner was super helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed the fresh eggs they sold that we cooked for breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Happy Horse Camp & RV Getaway

What went well? EVERYTHING was better than described or expected. My wife and I were met by Bo (sorry if not the spelling). Smiling from ear to ear and just an overall wonderful person. He helped us take our things to our cabin and described different things that we could do. Everything from a scavenger hunt to harmonica lessons. Beautiful property nestled away from traffic or prying eyes. The cabins are spaced well far apart so you do not feel like others are in your business. I could not believe how well stocked the cabin was. Plenty of blankets, heaters, ceiling fans, air conditioning, cookware, microwave - this was literally the easiest camping experience I've ever had and I'm 55 lol. They also have a fire pit area for each individual cabin to make the experience even nicer. We spent 2 evenings and just had a blast. There are plenty of places to get wonderful food, beverages or any other thing you and your family might need. This is a must stop for camping on a wonderful level. Each cabin also had its own 5 star outhouse and 5 star is the truth! Absolutely cleaner than public restrooms with every necessity. I highly recommend this camping spot!

Secluded with stunning views of the mountains. Sadly, our trip was cut short due to a winter storm but we will be staying here again. Highly recommend especially if you are wanting to experience the dark skies.

Where do I start..We have found our forever camping spot ❤️ When we arrived we were all just in awe of the view..What an amazing spot ( site 4 ) The grass was so green and soft the view of the river amazing.... The site is so private, and huge...We sit up our tents under some trees the shade was perfect . So much space to set up everything. The sounds of nature were on point. The birds singing was very relaxing. The entrance into the river was very easy like walking into the beach. Billy is so very kind . And kept us good with firewood. Also provided us with lifejackets which was so very much appreciated...Our children spent hours swimming and riding up and down the river on the boat and Kayaks that Billy provided...The two fire pits were a huge plus .made cooking so easy....We spund four days and 3 nights there and we were not in a hurry to leave....There is water from a well on the property that made it very easy and convenient for our needs....This is definitely a place that you will not regret camping at....it's our new favorite spot....💞💞💞💞 Thanks Billy for offering such a beautiful place to make memories at ...keep up the good work...we will be back...😊

Good Guad was the perfect camp spot for our group! It had gorgeous views and was flexible for setting up tents. We used it while we hiked in White Sands, Carlsbad, and Guadalupe Mtns. My husband enjoyed the ride in and we did not find it tricky with the map in our Bronco and Jeep Gladiator. We will definitely be recommending it to anyone visiting the area!

Coyote Creek Farm

Established 1996, The farm is situated just minutes from Magnolia-Silos, the Dr. Pepper museum, Baylor University, the Texas Ranger museum, BSR Waterpark, the Waco Mammoth National Monument (US National Park Service), and plenty of magnificent restaurants. There are no power lines over the property so I invite you to bring a kite to fly! You may even see one or two of mine in the sky. The theme of Coyote Creek Farm is tranquility. It is camping without someone crowding into your space. It is freedom from the hectic pace of the city. There is a well maintained Compost Toilet on the property as well! Each individual campsite has a portable potty bucket provided. Nearly any spot you are on has an amazingly delightful view. You can see the sun rise over the trees or the sun set behind a gently sloping hill. You will have access to all of the 30 acres. There are paths to walk, a stocked tank to fish in, (bass, catfish and blue gill), and oak and pecan trees to sit under and view the clouds as they drift overhead. Learn more about this land: Kamp Peace is a camp ground and venue in the woods where the ponds attract life, the breeze whistles in the trees, ponds and creeks carve the earth, and love whispers down the wooded trails. When booking, check them out for best match. If you are new to camping, have an RV, or camper, van, etc the STAR VIEW Site has what you need. It's a big open flat space with a huge fire pit and the best shooting star view on the grounds. This site has Power and lights from the main Stage and is closest to the water spigot. PECAN GROVE is a huge campsite in the shade of the pecan trees, beside the pond. There is a 10x10 deck and table to use. There is also a native sweat lodge built that only requires blankets to cover it. This site is closest to the outhouse. If you like to be further away from the hustle and bustle and appreciate more primitive camping, try the CEDAR CREEK Site at the back of the property. This site is near the (seasonal) bubbling creek, under the shade of the Juniper trees. There is a 10x 6ft shade tent with table and optional extension cord for use. (Request power upon booking) If you like a little more action in your campouts we do occasional music events on site. Ask about those dates when booking. We have a water hose for potable water on property and an open air private outhouse in the trees. We have a strict trash Pack in/pack out all trash and pet waste policy. Leave sites better then you found them and don't cut down anything that is growing. No burn bans if you use the rocked pits and put the fire out before you leave/sleep. A network of trails criss-cross the creek and wind throughout the property under a peaceful canopy of large beautiful trees. Don't be surprised if you run into deer, squirrels, or roadrunners! Our property is home to a wide variety of hill-country wildlife. - Each of our campsites are private and surrounded by forest. - Each site has a fire ring for campfires - Our trees are our most precious natural resource and set this campground apart! Please don't do anything to harm them. - Port-o-john is available on site. - All of our campsites are primitive. No electric or water here. - When you camp with us you are welcome to explore and play on the entire property! We have 55 acres of trails and woods to explore! Please bring your bikes, trail shoes, or whatever helps you have fun in the wild! - Hammocks welcome! We have so many trees! All of our sites are hammock-friendly. - When you check-in, just text us, your host will help you find your campsite. - Some sites are drive-in where your vehicle can park right next to the fire. Others are walk-in and require a short hike of 100' or less from your parking space. You can indicate your preference during booking or at check-in. If you want to drive right into your site, Campsites 2, 3, 6, and 12 are the sites you want. Some of our campsites are more secluded than others and offer extreme privacy in the most beautiful settings we have to offer. If you're looking for a wilder campsite surrounded by huge old trees and all the peace the woods have to offer, just request Campsites 4, 5, 7, or 8. Each of these sites requires a walk of at least 50' from your vehicle to the fire ring. Site 13 is only for backpackers or people willing to hike about 500 yards to the campsite over rough terrain. There is no way to drive to it or even get close except on foot. But it is spectacular and beautiful! Only three sites can accommodate a smaller trailer or camper. Site 1, Site 2, and site 6. Please notify me in your booking if you intend to bring a camper and I can accommodate you. We practice leave-no-trace as much as possible. So please pack out anything you pack in. You are responsible for removing all trash. If any garbage is left behind in your site you will be billed for the cleanup. We have a dumpster located near the front gate. Please use it and put all your trash in there. Heads-up! We have a small farm on the property. Dogs are always welcome and we LOVE our furry friends! For their safety and the safety of our livestock please keep them leashed while on property.

Paisano Azul Ranch is on 30 acres located by Terlingua Creek. The property is just minutes from the Terlingua Ghost Town and a short 3 mile drive to the Big Bend National park. Come pitch your tent or park your camper amid the peaceful desert hillside with views of plateaus that lead to the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park. There is a fire pit on site for you to toast marshmallows or cozy up near, and you can enjoy a bite to eat at the picnic table provided at each site. The picnic tables are placed beneath shade sails. There are two nice and new desert tan flushing Porta-Potties on-site, as well as showers for guests to use. These come in handy after a long day hiking. We hope you'll enjoy the beautiful open sky sunsets, sunrises, and stargazing as much as we do. We are located just 3 miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park. There are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore - you can hike, bike, canoe camp; kayak, off-road, swim, go horseback riding, visit hot springs, as well as visit restaurants, galleries, and listen to great music in Terlingua. There is something for everyone to feel free to bring the whole family. DIRECTIONS: Once you are on Road Runner Circle, go past the house on the left with the Christmas lights on. Please continue down the road and follow the road around the curve to the left. The campsites will be on the left and side behind the rock walls. The campsite number that is booked is the campsite you will stay in. Additional details to note: - We now have an above ground pool to keep cool in during the summer! Covered with a shade sail the water stays nice and chilly. ($10 fee/person) - You can stay connected if you'd like to, as cell reception and wifi are both available by the showers. Feel free to unplug during your stay though. - Seeing other campers on your trip at the campsite is very standard, as the sites are far enough apart to feel like they are yours, but they are not private. - Potable water is provided on-site. We have an artisan well on property that has been certified as drinkable. The showers and potable water is located approximately 1/4 mile from campsites 1-7. . These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. McDonald Farm

We are now offering daytime river access to the San Gabriel River! This is a secluded, hike to spot for fishing, swimming, grilling, picnicing, and hanging out during the day. Access to our river site is included in your camping fee, or we offer day passes for non-campers! There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please. McDonald Farm sits in the historic farming community of Jonah, TX between Georgetown and Taylor on scenic Highway 29. McDonald Farm is named after the patriarch of the family, J.H. Mcdonald, who first acquired the property in 1911. The farm sits on the bank of the San Gabriel River and features a lush canopy of huge pecan trees, sprawling corn fields, prairie, and forest. We are a working farm! We primarily grow corn, but we also have livestock on the property. During daytime hours, you will likely see a variety of farm chores being completed. We are only 7 miles from the Georgetown, TX historical district and square. Some say it’s the most beautiful town square in all of Texas. Enjoy shopping, dining, and festivals! We are 13 miles from Granger Lake, which offers boating and bass fishing opportunities. Highway 29 and the many quaint and scenic country roads that intersect it is popular with cyclists wanting to go for longer rides and enjoy the sights of central Texas and the many historical farms in the area. There is excellent bird-watching and wildlife-viewing opportunities on the property. We frequently see white-tailed deer, as well as other wildlife and many species of birds. There is road noise. Highway 29 can be busy at times, despite being a two-lane road. We also have neighbors, so we request quiet hours after 10 pm Sunday - Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday. Ask us about pasture-raised eggs, naturally-raised produce, and baked goods!

Located just 10 miles North of Downtown Montgomery on FM149 (23510 Martha Williams Road). We have 5.5 Acres that backs up to the Lone Star Hiking Trail in the Sam Houston National Forest. Our Campsites are set up along the LSHT between Trailhead 3 and 4, in the Pole Creek trail area. We have 6 campsites and 1 campsite with a yurt and 1 cabin that sleeps 4. The campsites all have fire pits. There is a pavilion with a summer kitchen and BBQ pits for cooking meals. Shower (with hot water) and restroom are available for campers. The Cabin (sleeps 4-5 Full size bed, pull out sofa, Loft for 2. Fully furnished with bedding, towels, dishes, cookware, toiletries. Site 4 is currently under construction for a sail boat shelter. Great fishing and kayaking river access on location. Sites 1,2,3, will have a table and fire ring with flat surface. Sites 5 and 6 are in the sticks and setting is raw land with no grooming. This is not the Ritz! This is raw land with no electricity and no running water. There are torches and solar lights at three sites. Seclusion, privacy, and peace can be found here.
