Brand new, family owned campground situated less than 6 miles from Bryson City. We currently have 3 RV sites for rigs under 27’ and 2 safari tents. On site, we have built a 1/2 mile trail to the top of the property to unveil an unobstructed view of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park including Clingman's Dome and The Road To Nowhere. There is a boat launch 4 miles down the road where you can then paddle across Lake Fontana and access miles of designated hiking trails and even the Appalachian Trail. We are a beautiful 16 mile drive from both the Tsali mountain bike trail system and The Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) with some of the best whitewater in the Eastern US.

However, Pets must be on a maximum 6' leash at all times. Please dispose of your pet's poop immediately. There is a large grassy area to walk your pets and for them to do 'their business'. Weekend Trip to Crystal Mountain

We had a lovely time! Maynard, our host, was very kind and made us feel welcome. Firewood aplenty, running water, and two tables at the site. Very clean and well kept! Bonus points - we didn’t see any ticks after three days, impressive in TN. Our dogs enjoyed romping in the sun near our campsite. We could hear some neighboring hounds at night, and the nearby horses / donkey were sweet. Very quiet throughout the day. Would absolutely visit again!

7 nights at Canopy Cove Camping Retreat

I loved camping at Canopy Cove. The area was beautiful, and they had a nice hiking trail to the top with an amazing view. They have lovely glamping tents with a little coffee bar and facilities. The hosts were really nice and helpful. It's close to a lake and only 15 minutes from Bryson City, which is an adorable town.

These sites all have a paved pad with full hookups. The bathhouse is new and very nice. The best parts are the pool, arcade, and lazy River. Going along with the theme, there is a lady traveling around the resort peddling margaritas.

Weekend Trip to Crystal Mountain

We picked a HOT weekend but thankfully the campsite is nestled back into the trees. The shade made a noticeable difference in temperature. We were very comfortable despite the heat wave. The site also butts up against a fence line so we were delighted when a group of horses, ponies, goats, and one donkey stopped by to say hi. They were curious but weren’t any trouble. Enjoyed the two nights we were there.

Everything was great! Maynard has great hospitality, he checked in on us a few times as we got set up. Bit of a walk to get large firewood, but it is included so its worth the walk (maybe 100yd if that.). Steep but fun hiking trails right on the property, behind the cabin at the end of the drive. Site was flat and had a great view, it rained our whole visit practically and the ground never flooded. 10/10!

WE LOVED CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN AND PLANNED TO RETURN!! Maynard was very professional and friendly, he gave us helpful camping tips and advice and his hospitality was very welcoming. The views were beautiful and so was the campsite. We have nothing to complain about and we highly recommend the campsite at crystal Mountain. We will be booking very shortly again:)
