Find peace at this private campsite close to Watts Bar Lake. Nestled in the tall trees, your large, private site features a fire pit, picnic table, and a “Tennessee Bathroom.” Site is nearly 100% shaded all day long. The area is surprisingly quiet. Deer, turkey, turtles, frogs, and cardinals have all been seen on the property. Before you exit your tent in the morning, stay quiet and look out first - who knows what you might see. Parking is right next to the site. Watts Bar Lake is within a few hundred yards and a public boat ramp is just about 3 minutes down the road. Watts Bar is over 72 miles long, 722 miles of shoreline, and is known for good fishing, kayaking, birdwatching, and other recreation. This is a good base for day trips to Knoxville, Chattanooga, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Smoky Mountain National Park. Note: Bring your own tent/supplies, or options include tent and/or propane tank rental. Pack out your own food, animal, and human waste. As this is private property, it is still the woods of Tennessee, so expect all that goes along with that. This property is in development, so added lodging and amenities will come on line in the future. We welcome your feedback. Value for money. Nice tent site at a reasonable price. The owner is friendly and very flexible with check in and check out time. The instructions were very clear. This tent site offers lot of privacy amidst the trees. The restrooms were not available but otherwise great place to pitch a tent. He offered pet stay free of cost.

My husband and I stopped here for a couple nights on our way to Pigeon Forge area. It was peaceful and beautiful out there. Craig was an amazing host always checking in to see how things were going and making sure to keep us informed on things. We loved that it wasn’t too far from town so we were able to go and grab something if we needed it quickly. It rained all day on our last day there but we still had a quiet enjoyable time. If we are ever out this way again we will stay here again!

The campsite is literally 30 feet from his house. The lake access is 3 or 4 miles away. The falls he shows are an hour round trip. There's also a cabin 20 feet away. The toilet tent is so small and so close you can smell it in the site and trying to wipe you can fall over and getting up is almost impossible. Definitely at all what we expected. Also he has lights hung that are on all night, and as a seasoned camper i was disappointed, too much light. All the pictures are deceiving.

I enjoyed the site for a night. There were a few too many lights for my taste, but it was a super cute set up. Glad I could bring my pup and the netting between the site and the tiny home helped prevent too much wandering on his part. I'm so glad they have wifi because I lost all signal once I got nearby!

Craig was great and had a nice lil place to privatly camp. Love the privacy fence stuff he had up. Out far enough to feel like your away from everything but yet close to several waterfalls and hiking trails.

Craig was communicative and provided me and my partner with a wonderful camping space. He left us a lamp the first night to navigate through the dark because he knew we were coming in late. Space was clean and flat, easy to camp on, cell service was bad but luckily he provided free wifi.

Beautiful property. Just far enough out to feel you are getting away, but still convenient to town. Lots of outdoor recreation opportunities nearby. Craig was a wonderful host!

Clean, peaceful, and gorgeous property. I love that he has the camo type privacy fence up, because even though you’re close to houses you still have privacy. Very nicely, well and up kept property. Craig was lovely, very attentive, but also gave us our peace and quiet space and time. Fire pit that has the metal grate built in was a lovely touch! Would recommend to anyone in the area, or passing through.

Craig’s campsite was great!! When i arrived he had left me a little note welcoming me and a Shiloh sticker. The purpose of my trip was to take my son to a wedding of his friends in Gatlinburg. He was staying with them so I had to find a place for two nights for myself. I love to camp so I started looking for a nice relaxing spot and I found it! I wasn’t for sure if my husband was going to be able to go with me and as it turned out he wasn’t so I was a little on edge having to make that trip and camp without him, which I have done before but still get a little nervous but when I got to meet Craig that evening after my arrival, he put me totally at ease. He was very friendly and helpful. I would stop there and stay again!!!

Loved camping on Craigs place it was so perfect! We stopped on the way to SC it was about half way. He was so nice, came out and chatted with us. Would totally recommend this to everyone!!!

Nice quiet stay just off the back yard. Clean camp spot with nice fire pit including flip top grill. Craig stopped by just to check if we needed anything. Would surely stay again.

Our stay at Shiloh Watts Bar was great!! Craig was every nice and helpful. Peaceful too. We would stay there again. Be careful though, there's deer around. Craig even said that he had to get one off our camping spot.

My wife and I took a trip to the Lost sea in Sweetwater, TN and stayed a night at Craig’s camp site after wards in Rockwood, TN. Craig was very helpful and responsive. We loved our vacation and absolutely loved our stay at the camp site. Craig has a beautiful spot and Rockwood is a beautiful town. Would definitely stay again.

The place was perfect for an overnight adventure spot to rest. Craig has a great set up with privacy and everything we needed to be comfortable while camping. The location was beautiful, safe and clean. We appreciated his hospitality and quick responses to our messages. We loved our night at Craig’s spot! We were just passing through for the night but really wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the space some more. Our dog had plenty of room to stretch her legs and sniff around, and our camper van fit perfectly into the parking spot next to camp. Craig also came out to say hello and we enjoyed chatting for a bit with him! His land is quiet and made for a great night’s sleep.

Great site!!! Came in for an overnight pass thru. Arrived late at 9pm and Craig came out and met me and made sure I had everything I needed. Site was very clean with a nice fire pit and picnic table as well as a compost toilet in a pre setup private tent. Very peaceful and quiet. Would recommend!

Craig was a life saver. Needed a place to crash in town for the night to come help my aunt at her new home. Last minute Craig was there to answer the call. Craig was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, there were dogs in a neighboring property barking throughout the night, so we didn't get the quiet we were hoping for. The site Wifi doesn't work and there is no cell service, so just be prepared and aware of this. Otherwise, the site was clean and nicely set up.
