The cabin includes a large front porch with rocking chairs where you will enjoy your warm tea or coffee each morning and evening while overlooking the peaceful pond and woods. There is an outdoor fire ring and picnic table where you can enjoy a campfire, cook on the open flame, and have smore's in the evening. Inside the cabin you will find everything to be incredibly beautiful and spaced to create the coziest atmosphere you've ever enjoyed. There is a wood burning stove indoors that when lit, takes the whole experience to the next level! But you don't have to rely on the woodstove for heat, we've installed a brand new wall unit for heat and air! You also have a DVD player and a television with an assortment of DVDs to choose from. The cabin sleeps 4-5 people comfortably. There is a full size bed that sleeps 2 in the main room of the cabin. There is a loft above that sleeps 2-3 more. A rolling library ladder is how the kids will access the loft area! So fun! The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, electric stove, oven, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. A peaceful mood is set by warm-toned sawmill lumber walls, recessed lighting in the ceiling, a kitchen window above the sink that overlooks the side yard campfire area and beautiful woods surrounding the cozy cabin. The bathroom is so nice with a stand-up shower, hand-made oak vanity, and a door to the "star-gazing" porch. Flood lighting lights up the area around the cabin at night so you might spot a deer, fox, or even a bear traveling through or getting a drink of water from the pond. After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. The views are hypnotic and look down and out over the continental divide. Good morning sun and sunsets can be seen in the same spot. Your car is parked within feet of your deck so Car Campers and experienced campers can enjoy. Designed with campers and dogs in mind. The deck is large (384 square feet) with a tin roof. Some roofs are full size, some 2/3rds and some 1/3rd, depending on what one wants for tent size or sun exposure. (See pictures of each site/deck) Each deck has sun and rain curtains for helping keep comfortable in normal weather. Dogs enjoy a two gate system so quests and dogs can be leash free and away from the road. All dog owners know to pick up after their pets. The human Private Porta John is cleaned weekly. Lights and electrical is 110V (3 prongs) for YOUR coffee pots, electric grills, mattress inflators, crockpots, electric blankets fans, etc. I do not provide any electrical appliances, other than counter area lighting and low level string lights so one can see the night sky. Many of my campers will "Pay it Forward" and leave coffee pots, hot plates, fans and such, so count yourself lucky to find a deck with them. I provide chairs, 5 gallons of fresh water in containers, fickle solar shower and pop up changing room along with an assortment of camping supplies from dog bowls to antimicrobial wipes. I provide various size garbage bags to manage your garbage. Your parking area is next to the deck. Black Mountain’s tasty restaurants are 4 miles away and All Trails is a great app for finding trails suited for your interest. Be respectful to the place and please be friendly to the people you meet. Learn more about this land: Private Glamping Decks with a view that pictures do not do justice. Private decks on a dead-end gravel road mean hopefully the sounds will only be of nature. The conveniences of electricity, porta john, water, chairs, table, roof, cleaning supplies, rain curtains, and astounding views have my Glampers coming back often. Designed with Dogs in mind with a two-gate system and no need for a leash when on the deck. Obnoxious, barking dogs are not welcome, so bring only controlled and well socialized dogs. Help me keep it dog friendly. Never block the road with a park car.

Adin`s river cabin

My property consists of a ridge running east to west with the access road running along the south border. the land slopes up to the ridge for about 300 feet, and then down to the river for about 800 feet. The south side of the ridge has a small pond close to the road. The rest is pasture, and an orchard and small vineyard. The north side of the ridge is old growth timber, and shady and cool. The two cabins are along the river. One is perched on a ridge over looking the river and the other is right on the river. The swimming hole is 30 feet from the lower cabin. There is room for a couple campsites along the river also. The south side of the ridge was a cotton farm decades ago, but was covered in timber when I bought it 12 years ago. The north side has been in timber for the known history of the property.

Hi! We are excited that you are thinking of camping with us. You'll be staying on our farm, which is a working horseback riding and equine therapy facility as well as a sanctuary for many other animals (including mini cows, turkeys, chickens, a pig, alpacas, goats, and a llama!) But don't worry, your campsite is surrounded by beauty and privacy. Enjoy walking through the woods, sharing a picnic while visiting with the animals, or just having relaxing in nature! We also sell farm fresh eggs by the half-dozen for $2, so you can cook your own egg breakfast if you would like! Our campsites are rustic. We do provide a port-a-potty on site as well as 7 gallons of drinking-safe water. There is a King Camp portable shower on-site, and we live on site at the front of the property in case of emergency. Each campsite has a fire pit, and a bucket of water is provided for safety. There is a convenience store and gas station 1/2 mile away, so snacks and fuel can be easily accessed. If you're looking for extremely quiet, we may not be the right fit, as our animals don't keep quiet hours so you may hear a moo or a crow at any time, but we think it's fantastic here! Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. Hand crafting doors and furniture the way the family did it 140 plus years ago. The history of this place is deep, even the nails for the cabin and farm house that is now the clubhouse were hand crafted by my great grandfather in his blacksmith shop, along with the wagon wheels, horse shoes, misc farm utensils etc... there was no running out to Lowes to pick up what was needed, it was made in the blacksmith shop. We love riding ATV's and SXS's on the trails on the mountains that I grew up on with my 3 brothers, we hope the people who visit and experience the mountains feel about them the way we do, we love em. We like to give riding tours and talking about the mountain and its challenges. We named the park from the famous product that was created here during prohibition, Cherry Bounce Moonshine. You can visit some of the original still sites on the mountain, of course they are not operational today. About the adventure co side, We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult). You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

Walk in campsites, we will four-wheel your gear to you. plenty of parking space on land. Located in the middle of farm land 30 minutes from Marion, Morganton or Rutherfordton. One hour from Asheville, Hickory and Shelby NC. Pets are allowed but must be maintained at all times as not to disturbed other campers. Some campsites offer multiple tent space for larger groups. (contact host for details) The creek that runs the length of the property is called "Hopper's Creek" It runs from Vein Mountain where gold was found. If you like to pan for gold, you can try your luck along our creek bed. Ask for more details when you check in. Cell service is a little sketchy here but we do offer a wifi hot spot for you to stay connected to outside world and a place to charge your phone. If you a motorcyclist you might have come to enjoy the motorcycle mecca of our area. One of the favorite and well known rides is “The Diamondback on NC 226A, starting in Marion NC. This ride is only 22 miles from our camp. There is also The Blue Ridge Parkway and Lake James Loop that includes “The Devil’s Staircase. Make The Earth Center Camp your base. We do offer long term parking for those who have trailered their bikes here. The Earth Center has plans to create an even more magical place with more amenities and sites (including Glamsites) in the future. Come be the first to enjoy the land and come back to witness the changes. Please carefully read details of each site when choosing your options of rentals as each site differs on number of guest and tents allowed. Our rates are discounted now so enjoy while you can!
