There are 3 campsites and one cabin located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013. If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape. The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them.
Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.
The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras *
We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

Well its not much of a farm, Rather a secluded grass farm field with goldenrod at the foot of the Elizabethville mountian. It is only 1.8 miles off the Route 25 approximately 1/2 hour drive north of Harrisburg. It is down a dirt road through the woods. At the edge of the field is the woods of the mountian. It has a small stream flowing throgh the woods. Not alot of light pollution so you will be sure to enjoy the starry night sky. Close to alot of neat placed and things to do.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. The Season House, one of the two foreman homes, features additional guest accommodations while Doug resides in the other foreman house. Visit and experience a piece of PA history! The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent.
You will have this space to yourself.
The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. The camp sites on our farm are dry (for now) but we DO have a toilet that is cleaned regularly right by the sites. We have three leveled gravel RV/Camper spots, which are large compared to most campgrounds. The sites are pull through for most RVs and Trailers. We provide fire rings but no wood. Our farm is an operational farm with livestock and you will be camping right by our horse pasture. Our location is convenient. We are right off of I-81 and State route 22. Minutes from Hersheypark, Hollywood Casino and Penn National Race Course, The PA Renaissance Faire, as well as Ft. Indiantown Gap and Memorial Lake State Park. If you are a hiker, the Appalachian Trail is minutes from our farm. Our sites are easy access off the main road. We are in a friendly agricultural neighborhood with very little traffic or noise other than the light hum of I-81 in the distance. Wildlife is plentiful in our area and you can hike from our farm to Levitz Community Park (or drive if you prefer) to interact some great nature or have a picnic. Our second stay at Forks Game Farm Campground was just as amazing as the first! The campsite is perfect for large family gatherings and group camping. Everything is well organized, clean, and thoughtfully maintained.
The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved the convenience of the 24/7 camp store—it had everything we needed at any time.

Wonderful little camp spot. Right next to the river. Private & secluded. Lots of space to explore. Social goats. Firewood. Little cozy spot to have campfire right next to river. Comfy cots. Super neat raised platform for the tent!

About 30 minutes away from Knoebel's, Greene Kitchen Farm is an idyllic plot set into rolling green hills, with a small creek running through the property. The Aspens is set in a small grove of trees, just next to this little babbling brook. The spot has space to pull in a car or two and then a small bridge to cross the stream. A fire ring is flanked by two possible tent locations, one flat and one on a bit of an angle. The fire ring has grates to use for cooking, as firewood was $5 for a milkcrate full. No bathroom, but the farm provides a "luggable loo" free of charge--basically a bucket with a lid and compostable bag. Pro tip: a bit of cat litter goes a long way. Finding the farm, even at night was pretty easy with GPS, and Joshua gave detailed directions to find the site. It ended up raining the first morning we were there, and unfortunately that's how we found out our tent is not waterproof 😂 we decided to book a hotel for that night, but left the tent up to dry out and came back the next morning to pack it up. I told Joshua the situation and he refunded us most of the night we didn't stay there, which was so nice but not necessary! We would definitely stay here again, and hopefully get to try some of the farm fresh eggs (6/$3) next time!!

My group and I LOVED this spot, we were talking about how great our time was even after we left. We live 6 hours away and are planning a trip back here and camping at this spot again in a few months with another group. The views were beautiful and the directions were easy. We pulled up to the farm shop and the host led us down to the camp site from there, an open field across the street that was easy to drive through. He only lets one group of campers at a time, so it's completely private in the field and you can choose any of the multiple spots along the river. The host had great vibes and was very inviting even as we got to the spot so late at night, he still prepared a bonfire for us to pull up to. The farm store is 24/7 and runs on good faith, so you can walk there for necessities during the night and leave money at the counter so it's an easy experience. There's no issue with noise due to it being so far in the woods.

I love camping here so much! The creek is so much fun. I like the size of the site. It was perfect for us. The dogs had the best time running in and out of the creek all day long. We all slept great! Firewood, for all you can burn for $10 a day is a great deal as well. We will definitely be back. The sites are a 30 minute drive to Knoebels. So nice to escape people! Thank you Mark!

Beautiful location and completely private! I felt great about letting our dogs roam freely and they had a great time doing it! The pond was lovely and boat to paddle around in was a nice touch even though we didn't get a chance to use it. The set up was really nice with firewood included and the grill grate was very handy as ours would have set to low in the fire pit. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!

We loved site 4. Very private, right on the water, all shade, no sunlight at the site which was great considering it was over 100 degrees. We loved tubing down the creek and just laying in our tubes tied to rocks right in front of the site! We fit 2 tents, a 4 and a 6 person tent with enough room to cook and make a bathroom! Would definitely recommend this site and Mark was awesome!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Forks Farm! The sites are incredibly private and secluded, we truly had the whole place to ourselves. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and offers several great camping spots to choose from. We loved having the farm store nearby—it was so convenient for picking up ice, fresh eggs, and hot dogs. The creek was an absolute must during the hot weather! We brought floats and spent hours just relaxing in the water while the kids looked for crayfish. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and we had no trouble finding the campground thanks to the clear directions. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway where you can really unplug and enjoy nature, this is the perfect spot. We’d definitely stay here again!
